First of all they say door-to-door pick up, I bought a high in Mercedes in the LA area to be delivered to Arizona. I was quoted $750 later on I found out I paid $200 to $300 too much with other companies calling me with quotes. They emailed me after I stupidly paid them ahead that my very expensive Mercedes would be picked up at the dealership on Monday and delivered to Arizona on Tuesday. The dealership called me on Friday in a panic as I had passed on the information the car will be picked up on Monday however, another transport company took it to a lot where it sat over the weekend, none of this was communicated to me by CAR-GO, I finally tracked down the guy ( luckily the dealer had all of this information) and he advised me it wouldn't leave his unknown lot until After the weekend on Monday! I called CAR Go and only got a recording that they were closed on the weekend so I had no communication or clarity on what was going on with my car. therefore, I was left with only communicating with the owner of this vacant where my Mercedes at. On Monday, it was picked up and I was assured by the driver it would be delivered Tuesday afternoon. To make a long story short, the driver did not want to drive to Tucson on Tuesday Contracted but finally showed up at 10 PM that evening. I did 2 weeks of research trying not to get scammed. Found AirRyd after about 10 days and ended up watching lots of their videos, some that were just a few weeks old! Everything he mentioned in the videos came true, even down do the Russian nationality of the carrier driver! I sit behind a desk as a data analyst. Car shipping is a different world. Even if you don't choose AirRyd, watch his videos!!! Car shipping is like a conveyor belt. Once your car is on the belt, it's a 'load' in the shipping world, nothing more than a commodity to be loaded onto a truck and the shipping machine takes over to process your load, in a somewhat impersonal way. This is probably the only time I'll ship a car in my entire life. AirRyd prepared me for the inevitability of the experience. In the end, a great experience! I calculate that I saved somewhere between $300 and $500 by using AirRyd. Their total price was double the lowest (obvious scam) estimates, and about 30% lower than the highest estimates. This is entirely due to their up-front fully disclosed (and lowest) fee in the business. Do your own math. Today diesel is $5.30/gal-ish, and large car carriers get maybe 6mpg. Using that alone I could tell very early that the $500 quotes wouldn't even cover the cost of the shipping. Oh, and one more thing: TrustPilot is total bogus. All the scammers pump it with positive reviews to outweigh the negative ones! It took only 3 days from SoCal up to Seattle within the time frame I was provided. The driver and both the person behind the desk were nice and provided useful info. As with anything, don't expect specifics for your vehicle to be picked up/delivered - that's what you have the time frames for. Understand that these people are working with other things to and have to figure out stuff behind the scenes to fit certain schedules with other customers.
