Reliable Roofing did a great job on our three story (large!) home in Mishawaka in the summer of 2020. Communication with rep Ryan Martinez was great, and the onsite job supervisors were conscientious and thorough. Five years later, after a terrific storm passed through, I noticed a few tiles (maybe 4) had slipped down from the flashing on the third story roof. I called Reliable Roofing, spoke to Ryan, and he had a repair person come out the very same day, and that person fixed the slipped tiles quickly and efficiently. Reliable Roofing and Construction Summary: With clear conscience, I can give my highest recommendation to Reliable Roofing. I searched for more than a year, interviewing at least 6 roofers, before I found one that was honest, and presented a technically accurate view of the job. That was Reliable Roofing. As a bonus, their quote was entirely reasonable for a quality installation with quality materials. First, their communications are terrific. Reliable employs a pivot person (Miranda) in the office who is easily reachable by phone, returns calls promptly, and can handle most anything. With most companies, you have to leave a voice mail on the cell phone of an overworked supervisor, running around the field, who never answers your call promptly. Not at Reliable. This communications emphasis runs through the whole operation down to the working roofers. They engaged with me fully, explaining everything they were doing, and offerd suggestions and options for, me to decide, that involved both the function and appearance of the roof and gutters. No job the size of a roof ever goes off without a hitch. The question is: what is your company prepared to do about it if there is an error. The President of the company, Abraham Gordillo, was no stranger to the worksite, and appeared regularly to inspect. They work to catch and correct any mistake on the spot, and any concern I had was rapidly and professionally taken care of. Just after the roof was complete, we had 7 inches of rainfall in two days, and I inspected every inch of the inside of the roof for leaks. I found three small drips, close to each other at the base of the chimney. The roofer who I had watched spend half a day obsessively flashing around the chimney, came out the next morning, and found that the leaks came from the top of the chimney itself and were not the fault of the roofing installation. Nevertheless, he then spent the rest of the morning fixing a problem that wasn't Reliable's responsibility so that, in the end, I had a completely dry attic. Which, of course, they knew was the ending I needed, and saved me hiring a chimney man. Part way through the job, I decided to change out the gutters and downspouts to larger sizes. I asked the lead roofer about it, and he got right on the phone with their gutter lead, described my job, and got a terrific quote on the spot. When the gutter men completed their job, they were short one small elbow and said they would send someone out the next day with it to finish up. The next day, the lead gutter man came by with the part, surveyed the whole job, and decided that two of the downspouts would have been more attractive in a different orientation. So, although they were completely functional, he took them down (2 stories), and rebuilt them in a more attractive way. You really do want an OCD (his words) gutter man on your job, who isn't afraid of work. The last thing I'll mention is overall quality of materials. I know a good deal about roofing. I had measured the thickness of the metal used by the other contractors and caught them in lies. Reliable Roofing doesn't even have coils in the lighter 29 ga. (does meet code), but starts at 26 ga., which I wanted. The same was true of the underlayment used between the new tar paper and the steel. Top quality, tough material. Here's what you want to know: I would hire them again in a minute! And they also do general construction work , in fact, so I may have the need to. Originally, they were supposed to come out on Monday. After three phone calls that day, they didn't show. It wasn't until 6pm that and a phone call that I initiated for them to tell me they weren't coming out. Rescheduled for Thursday at 9am. 9:30am- phone call- no one is out there. Response was they are out buying material for your order right now. They will be there around 10. 10:30- still no one. Called again, response was "oh, he forgot his compressor". 11:30- still no one. Called again. He didn't answer. Texted him and told him to text the guy that is actually working on the room and have him call me. He texted me back and said he did. Still no call. 11:45- Called the owner. Left him a voicemail. 11:50- Call pulls up to get the color of the shingles so they could match everything. Obviously, they did not go buy material yet. 12pm- Owner called back. He said he would "get to the bottom of this" 1:15pm- Still haven't heard anything, so I called the owner back. "Guaranteed to be done sometime today" was his response. 2:00pm- Guys showed up to do the work. 3:00pm- Guys completed job. This company did a great job - right up til the last day when we were out of town. Then they hurried thru the remaining areas - the shingles around the bay window were sloppy, the cleanup was lazy and they left tire ruts in the yard. After asking repeatedly for someone to fix it, nothing was done. 2 weeks ago there was an ice dam on a gable and the roof started leaking and collapsing in that spot. Our insurance agent says the water/ice shield likely wasn't applied to code. Again, multiple calls, promises to come out and view it, and no one shows up. My advice is find someone else. read more

I scheduled a consultation for 4/30/20 at 4:30 PM. I received a reminder via text on 4/29/20, and two more reminders via text on 4/30/20. I also received an email reminder on 4/30/20 PM. No one showed up and when I called after waiting a while, there was no one in the office to take the call. Then I read the other negative reviews. I can see a pattern of poor service. What a lot of reminders they sent for nothing. Weird. read more

Very happy with Reliable Roofing and the work that they completed on my home. Originally, I had 3 different estimates done and decided to go with them not only because of their pricing, but also because of their persistence and ability to follow up quickly. I needed a full roof replacement right away and within 2 days, the work began. They started early every morning that they were there, and on some days, they worked well into the evening. The team had 3 layers to peel off and they still finished the job in a short amount of time. On top of that, they repaired the soffits, fascia, and installed vents on the roof. I was also very pleased with how well they cleaned up after the job was complete. I highly recommend Abraham and their company for any and all roofing needs. First they did not show for the estimate. When I called to find out why, they had had an emergency. (It can happen.) They came out on the second scheduled visit. Three days I called after the estimate was late. Each day they said I would have the estimate by the end of the day. I did not. I then gave up. This company was a waste of time. read more

I hired them after getting other estimates and they were the same. they came out and only replaced the shingles on the roof. the quote was to repair flat roofs and shingles. they did not repair the flat roofs. also said they were putting a railing up on the flat roof and that caused more problems with leaking. I had to hire an inspector and he said door to balconey needed to be raised 3 in. due to decking they put up and they wanted me to pay for it. so I hired an attorney which I had to pay for and the only thing that was done was the door was raised. but it was done poorly and they had to be called out again to repair it. which looks better now. the ceiling in my living room needed to be repaired and they did a sloppy job and left messes that I had to clean up. they also didn't clean up very well after doing the roof we r still finding nails in yard and alley. they also had to pay for a new tire that was damaged due to their sloppiness. wouldn't recommend them at all read more

They came out the same day I called them for an estimate since it was going to snow the next day. A couple weeks later they did the work once we had some good weather. Their workers were fast and from what it seems like, really thorough as they finished the roof in 2 days right in time before the next snow fall. I havent had a leak yet so I would recommend them for sure. read more
