In April 2021, I had the power line from the service pole to the second floor of my home torn from its mount at the roofline on my second floor as a result of strong gusting winds during the night. After the mounting studs and siding were replaced, I contacted Reliable Electric to rework and repair my downed lines. Ryan Broyles came out the next day and gave me an estimate for repairing the damaged lines as well as upgrading my service to 200 amps, installing a transfer switch for a portable generator, and, adding a line for my electric garage door opener. Ryan was professional, friendly, and quite helpful. I found the estimate quite reasonable and asked them to do the work. Although, as a result of the storms through this area, I had to wait two weeks for their techs, Cody Myers and Paul Anthem to come, when they arrived, they did an excellent job, were responsive to my questions and concerns, and as far as I could tell took no breaks. And even though the weather was rainy, they worked between showers to get the outside work finished. I am quite pleased with the results. I used Reliable Electric last week for a switch problem with my lights. This company is so good I waited a week to have my problem looked at. I didn't have an emergency. I had a problem where the laundry room lights wouldn't work but you could turn on the garage lights and then the laundry lights worked. Woody and Austin came out. They were on time and very respectful. They put booties on their feet so not to hurt my wood floors. They diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. They did the repair within 7 minutes. They asked if they could shut off the circuit breaker to work on the repair. I asked if I should have my other outlets checked and Woody explained no need for the extra cost. He said be aware if the lights start flickering then call. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend. I have 1 suggestion for them to allow a certain amount of time each day for an emergency appointment. I was lucky not to have an emergency. We have used reliable electric for probably close to 20 years and they have always done a terrific job on every need we had. They installed new outlets where we needed them, fixed old outlets that didn't work, replaced switch switches with new ones, updated in modern hours our electric, And fixed the outdated wiring problems when we got ready to sell our home. And that last work was done at less than half the cost of what the electrical inspector the buyer hired to inspect the property said it would cost! Well, they may not be the most expensive electricians in the area, I have no doubt that they are the best! I like the fact that they explain things so we understand what they're doing and why, and that they get the job done right and get it done quickly. My wife and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Last year we had Reliable Electric install a Generac whole-house backup generator, and opted to include their 3-year maintenance plan. The generator has come in handy since then during two separate blackouts, running for a total of 15-16 hours without issue (other than making the neighbors jealous). Recently Paul came out for the periodic maintenance. He reminded me ahead of time that I didn't need to be present, as he could do the maintenance without needing access to the inside of the house, which freed up my schedule. He finished the maintenance quickly, professionally, and without disrupting our schedules. I probably could maintain the generator myself, but unlike Paul, I'd probably break something in the process, and as I get older I realize some things are probably best left to the professionals ;). A couple of years ago, I had Reliable install strip-style task lighting under my kitchen cabinets. After about 3 weeks, one section "went dark". Reliable came back to my home to fix, and found it was a loose-goosey connection in the wiring. Well, it happened again last month, and I called for another repair. Paul, my technician, found the same issue this time, which was determined to be a manufacturer's design flaw. He applied a sauter-style fix, which is determined to be more effective and long-lasting. Neither house call from Reliable was billed to me, as they handled it as a warranty item. I still love my task lighting and have employed Reliable for some years now. And this event tells you why. I have an older house from the 50's and the electric had never had a good going over to check working order. I had a number of outlets that were almost falling out of the walls, as well as a tangled mess in one of the wall boxes in my garage. I had 5 strapping young men come into the house in the morning and they carefully went through everything to make sure it was done properly. They added a light over my stove so I could see what I'm cooking, and lights and covered plugins outside. They were very nice, and very professional, made sure they asked me how I wanted things and gave me a wonderfully pleasant experience. During communications with the office, Brianna was polite and efficient. Reliable Electric's Paul Anthem solved a show-stopping problem with an electronic controller in our water system. The plumber had diagnosed it as a burned out relay, with a replacement part available for $65 - plus labor. But Paul patiently and methodically troubleshot and traced the problem to nothing more than several corroded terminals, and wires broken or disconnected. He fixed these problems, and verified that the entire water system is now working correctly. Paul was timely, knowledgeable, professional, did a great job, and charged us a reasonable price for his time and expertise. During a huge renovation project of my business, we hired Reliable Electric for the job. The 2 electricians that came out, Mike Blair and Emily Amburgey , not only did a fantastic job for me but were very polite to my staff and if were near any customers entering my store, they would say hi and were friendly to them as well! Electric went out in my condo on Saturday after a Friday night storm. I called the utility company and was told it would be more than four hours before they could look at it. I called two other electric companies and "left a message". I never heard back from them. I called Reliable. Aaron quickly returned my call. Aaron showed up. When he did the power was on again. It went off after a few minutes and Aaron was able to determine the problem was outside my unit. Aaron was then quickly able to get my service up and running. Aaron was extremely nice. Then Ryan came out, walked through with us, and helped us decide on how to get our home up to code. Brandon and Brian did an amazing job of installing LED recessed lighting into a very high-vaulted ceiling that had limited attic access. Their skillful approach meant they didn't need to cut into the drywall and require ceiling repairs. With five disk lights strategically placed, I now have a fully illuminated room with dimmer that provides the daylight I need for art, sewing and crafts. They were very courteous and worked carefully to minimize dust and prevent any damage to furniture or items on display. What's more, they saw that I got a senior discount. It was a great value. On 3/19, Reliable Electric sent Woody and Sean out to do some much needed work on our electricity. They did an amazing job, however later that night we had a breaker flip off,band we couldn't figure out why. just had Ben and Jamie here to change out a breaker on my old out dated crazy wired thing I call a panel. Along with most things in life nothing is as what it seems and I was worried I was about to spend an arm and a leg with being charged by the hour but these two were absolutely amazing after looking at this mess for a few seconds they were able to find and fix problem within minutes!
