I want to preface this by saying this review is for Reliable Parts Canada and not this specific location. I've never had any dealings with this location. But the online customer service is horrendous. If I could give zero stars I would. Never order from this company. Sorry about the length of this review/rant, but I feel it's justified. I called Bosch on March 2 to get a replacement handle for my dishwasher. The guy told me it was actually the entire control panel since the handle was built-into it. And it was going to cost about $230. But unfortunately it was on backorder and I wouldn't receive it till mid-late April at the earliest. Did some online searching. And found what I thought was the part on Reliable Parts website. I called them, which took me three (3) tries before someone answered. Talked to a woman named Donna. She confirmed the part number I was looking at was correct and said "Good news we have one in stock at our Ontario warehouse. It'll take a couple days to get it from there, but you should get it in the next week or two. I'll send you a confirmation email of the order and you should get a courier tracking number in the next day when the label is made". March 9, I emailed her back and said "Hi, haven't received a courier tracking number yet. Any update on this?" No response! March 18, emailed her again asking for order confirmation. She replied almost immediately with this exact email. "Good morning, Good news! It looks like your part has come in today and should be shipped out and you should receive in the next day or 2. You should get a tracking emailed to you at some point when it is labeled and ready to go. Have a great day!" March 26 (Today) still no part or courier. I sent another email. "Hi Donna, Still haven't received the part, or even, a courier tracking update on when I can expect this delivery. I'll be honest, I'm starting to get a little frustrated. I fully expected to receive this in a week or so when I first ordered it. It's been almost a month with little to no info. " Again, she replied almost immediately with: "I understand but on special orders it typically takes 2-4 weeks. Your part is in stock at Bosch so hopefully showing up in the next week. Parts that are special order never only take a week, always 2-4 and sometimes a little longer. We have no stock in our warehouses so are waiting for Bosch to send it out." I responded with "Yeah no that's not right. Because I when I told you I called Bosch the morning of March 2 when I ordered with you but they didn't have any in-stock. You said I quote "Good news our warehouse in Ontario has one left in stock". And that was true because I looked online as I was on the phone with you after you gave me the exact part number, and there was one (1) in stock. This is why I ordered through you, and not though Bosch directly, even though it cost more. You said it would take a couple days to get it from the warehouse and ship to me in the coming days. So either you didn't have it in stock and took my money as payment for delayed delivery. Or for all I know this is a total scam. I literally have your email from last week saying it was "ready to ship out and I would get a courier tracking number. And have the part in the next day or two." I don't know why you feel the need lie and don't say you're not because I have emails to prove it. You can simply be honest and say you didn't have the part in stock. I understand sometimes online stock checks aren't accurate. But you literally lied to me last week. So I want someone from Reliable Parts management to contact me about this. If I don't receive a email or phone call from someone higher up in the corporate chain in response to this, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint about Reliable Parts and basically claiming this is complete fraud. And I will be taking this entire email thread to my local Reliable Parts store and let them deal with this, because this is beyond ridiculous. Thank your time...I will be awaiting a response from a corporate." She just responded with an email saying "OK, but if there was no stock when you ordered at Bosch there is now. We do not typically have these panels in stock" and proceeded to send me a screenshot from the Bosch website showing it in stock. I responded with "I need someone in Reliable Parts management to contact me. I will be waiting to hear from them. Thank you" So, I feel I just got scammed out of $285 and will never see this part for my dishwasher or money again. I have since ordered the part through Bosch an awaiting for it to come on backorder. I know I sound like a complete "Karen" right now. But reading the reviews on here and other review sites, it sounds like I'm not the only one with this kind of treatment. To be completely honest, I don't care if I have to wait for my part. It's the blatant lies that really get my blood boiling. So, yeah, never use the online "UnReliable" Parts. read more

Laughing at this because I thought I was the only one. The guy behind the counter is such a jerk -- I've NEVER been treated this way before. Part of me would feel bad if he's on the spectrum, since that might explain some of it, but either way the attitude is brutal. If you can tolerate the guy behind the desk, sure, shop here. I have an older washing machine at a rental property that needed a new timer switch. After unsuccessfully being online with Westinghouse, calling another parts business in Edmonton, Reliable Parts was able to help me with excellent over the phone customer assistance and also obtain the needed part for me, about 10 days earlier than the "other company". I'll call here first the next time I need a part. read more

Wow. I'm just shocked. I've never, ever been treated like such crap ever by a shop keeper. Never. I've had experience with other branches of this company in other cities and have always been treated with curtsy and genuine desire to help you solve your appliance problem. I've never felt so belittled. If you want to continue to have a good day, don't go into this shop. Yes, I was the target of this jerk old man. This was my first home and wanted to find a solution to fix my fridge because of some weird installation done by the previous owner. This guy wouldn't even let me get so much as two sentences before launching in on me with his derogatory language. I went to Lowe's and was told the part that I needed to get but this guy didn't even let me get to that. How do these folk stay in business?? What upset me the most is that there was another person at the desk as well and he didn't even flinch at this sub-human demeanour, like it was perfectly acceptable to treat customers this way. So this review falls upon not just this blob, but upon the whole business. I've worked in customer service and dealt with many businesses all over the world. Never have I been treated like such dung, ever! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!!!!! This place is going to be getting a report to head office for sure. I wish I made a recording of the conversation. At least I told him off and said that I've never been treated with such disrespect and was never coming back. I've never given a 1 star before. This is my first and hopefully last. I'm a very caring person and can often see past the cruft of most and help even those having a bad day have something go home better with. The older, bigger guy who works here is the most miserable man I have ever seen in my life. How he stays employed is beyond me. I've seen him be short tempered with other customers when there was no reason to be rude to them. He's been rude to me. He's been rude to my husband. This is a place that sometimes carries stuff other places don't, but you know what - I'd rather not go here and support this guy anymore. He should not be in customer service at all. He has no customer service skills and makes you feel like crap for wanting to buy stuff there. He shouldn't be allowed to deal with people at all. Great help and excellent effort to find me the parts I needed for my older stove and fridge. I am not interested in gadgets, or having the latest things, or contributing to landfill. All I wanted was to replace my elements and keep my good old stove. Barry had to resort to microfiche (slightly less obsolete than a book!) to find the parts I need to avoid having to replace my stove. While I was there, he also found a handle for my freezer door, which I doubted would be available for my 15 year old unit. While I was there, other employees were really nice to me and other clients both there, and on the phone. Awesome!! Great service, great customer support. Highly recommend. David read more

I stopped into Reliable Parts at 11628-149 street looking for a park for my Moms Kenmore stove. I dealt with a guy named "BARRY". Let me start off by saying Barry should not be working in customer sales. Not only did he sell me the wrong part but when I returned 45 mins later and asked him about it his response was, "What do you want me to do about it I'm not an electrician I sell parts." After his remark I kindly asked for a refund and walked out. I received a call from Visa this morning asking me if I authorized my credit card to be charged twice with the same amount yesterday at Reliable Parts. Obviously surprised I asked Visa what I should do and they said go back to the store first and talk with them. I walk in today and who do I get again but "Barry". I explained that what he had done was charged me again when I returned the product rather then credit me. He automatically went on the defense and said there was nothing he could do about it on his end. It was a glitch in the system. Really "GARRY"! I have never once in my 52 yrs taken the time to write a review about anything but this guy is a complete A hole and I would advice anyone reading this site to NEVER shop at this location because if you do get "GARRY" don't say I didn't warn you! Called back Visa and there Disputes Dept. will handle it from here on. I did get the right part from ACME SUPPLY on 120Street & 114Ave. They had great customer service. In a time when our Alberta economy is hurting, managers should consider how a guy like "GARRY" will hurt your business!!!!!! read more

I drove into Edmonton to purchase a small washing machine part. The guy who took my order had the personality of a stick! They charged me $25.36. I later called another better known company out of curiosity and their price was $16 something. Then, later, I called a friend in Seattle who called back to say his cast was 4.65 US! That's how much we get shafted in Canada even with the lower dollar! read more
