As part of an upgrade to our house, we needed a new service feed/main panel installed. Eric gave us an estimate very quickly and was better priced than other companies. He explained what would have to be done to ensure code compliance and allow for the future growth we have planned for this house. Reliant worked with our schedule to perform the work (Michele was very easy to work with and kept us advised of their availability as we prepared for the work). Eric showed up on time (I did not...) and completed the project as promised. His work was exactly what we needed and he went the extra mile to avoid creating additional work for us by not damaging the external stucco or internal sheetrock. He fully verified the work and identified all circuits within the new panel (our 1963 panel had "mystery" breakers that we didn't know what they supported). I hired this company based on research done online: PPRBD, BBB and here on Yelp. I spoke with the gal on the phone (Eric's wife, I presume) and she listened to what I needed and then offered a few different times & dates... I went with one that was a few weeks off since the small repair I couldn't manage to finish had languished for a few months already... Well, I had a last minute emergency on my part and they were very accommodating, updating me on their approximate arrival time and status since I wouldn't be the one initially meeting them... Anyhow - Eric did the job quickly, efficiently and with a clear explanation of his methodology and tips... even helped me look for a few parts I had misplaced from the previous attempt... The price was fair and actually a bit less that I though it might be. Everything works and the wife is happy, so I'm really happy too! He will be my first call for an electrician in the future and I will recommend them to friends and family and here on Yelp as well. read more

we are so glad we found Erik. our home was built in 1969. it had some period issues specific to the 1960s that we had been wanting to update, but we weren't sure the changes we wanted could be done affordable. Erik came to take care of our first request and showed up on time, was extremely professional, fixing the electrical need of the day quickly and reasonably. as a result, we asked him if he could do another project for us. This one involved getting up in our overly insulated, low pitched attic to add some overhead lighting. I contacted Reliant Electric regarding an estimate to repair an electrical issue on our property. Talked with the Owner and he said he would send me a Text to coordinate a date/time to assess the work and provide an estimate. After two-days of waiting for a Text or some communications from Reliant Electric, I never heard from them. I've found my new local electrician! I scheduled an appointment for residential electrical work and the day of the appointment Eric was running ahead of schedule, called to ask if he could come on over. Heck, yeah! I'm not one of those goofy people who likes sitting at home waiting on a repair person. Eric was personable, asked questions, made suggestions and explained what he was doing. When he was finished (ahead of schedule with me, too!), he showed me the completed work and made sure I was satisfied. Reliant is professional, clean and reasonably priced (not the cheapest, but not much higher than another place I checked and less than others). After Eric left, I started making a list of other electrical things I need done around the house. I'll hire him again and I'm delighted to recommend him to others. read more

My husband and I have crafted a dream home. Since the dirt has been Dug, we have had problems. Reliant K Electric has contributed to many problems. Track lighting in the kitchen has never worked. Eric, owner of Reliant K Electric, kept claiming that it was not him and that the manufacturer was responsible for a sending a malfunctioning light. After replacing 3 or more lights, Eric rudely told me, "we are done" and hung up on me. I hired another electrician to come to my house to diagnose the problem. When the second electrician saw the transformer he immediately knew that Reliant K Electric had not wired the track lighting correctly. He said the transformer is a 2 tap, 600 volt transformer and that it has only been wired on one side; thus 1/2 of the power it is supposed to be able to handle. This is only allowing 300 volts, which is not enough and causing the lighting to blow a fuse. When I contacted Reliant K Electric about this they still refuse to stand by their device and fix the wiring. Needless to say, I recommend that you consider another company before investing in this one simply because of the misleading name. read more
