Ive never heard anything "bad" about this hospital, only good things. My entire life I've know this…read moreto be a great hospital since one of my friends mom works here and was promoted and she told me they are great and workers. I went here MANY times to see his mom and also had came to see people. It wasn't until it personally effected me until my father recently was told me has AFIB and his heart is a bit weak and needs a procedure to check his heart and see if there's anything that needs to be done. Ended up he had an 80% blockage on one of his left heart artery and needed a stent. I know people who have 4-6, he just needed one thank god but they were AMAZING. The cardiologist explained everything simply and what he would be doing and he promised he would come afterwards to talk to us. Doctors get busy so I wasn't really betting on that I figured we would just get the information from the nurses and 20 mins tops after his procedure he came in, he waited until my dad was fully awake to hear what he did. Everything went great and he had a follow up that went well and now we are going back actually today for his other issue he's been having. The heart came out of no where he's never had any issues, but lucky the doctor and all the other doctors, the nurses, ALL the staff, I did like how they had security since it's not far from some bad areas, even checking in was fun and we were laughing with the woman. I wished I remembered her name! Even though it's early I'm not dreading going back today, though today we are going to the Mary V. Black building, so it's a completely different building but I'm sure it will be..atleast I hope...will be just as great. Also, it was very very clean. I was truly impressed, so was my mom when she went there and she's an RN as well in PA and she was really impressed with the nurses and how clean it was! I know this is long but if you are ever in the area and need medical assistance, this is where I would go and recommend!!

On Approximately Jan 28 2026, my husband was admitted to this hospital with a red tongue. He had…read morebeen fighting & winning his battle with prostate cancer for 7 years & this hospital does a new treatment called Histotripsy for cancers metastasized into the liver. So long story short, he spent 2 weeks in this hospital and they gave a sepsis did Not properly diagnose it and admitted they were giving him the wrong antibiotic then killed him. Plus as it was spreading the nurses kept saying it was not (see pics) so I had to make noise and immediately the doctors all came in & sent him to intensive care this was his 71st birthday. The next day the in charge nurses from the oncology floor he was on, came to intensive care in tears apologizing. Once they figured out it the correct bacteria they starting treating him on Feb 12 & he was improving, watching Nascar Friday Feb 13 & looking forward to the 500 on Sunday but they insisted on a DNR and a port in his neck. They then overloaded him & gave him a heart attack. Which killed him. I was running to take a shower & they called & said he had a heart attack so I asked to reverse the DNR - They said they had gotten a pulse but broke his ribs so they gave him morphine & killed him again. They even brought in an allergist who said the red tongue was an allergic reaction when it was Not!!!! Odd thing is I tried to get a lawyer so his death would not go unnoticed records but the lawyers say he was old . 2 weeks before this he was going to PT 3 times a week for his back & looking forward to riding his motorcycle once the weather got warmer. We had gone to Florida in December. So not the youngest person but definitely not Old. Now that very unfortunately Kyle Busch died over 10 days from the sepsis (as my husband did) maybe some attention will come to the poor diagnosis of sepsis. So the only way I can warn people is to start posting it with pictures (on the top part of the page) . I hope this saves someone's life. Miss you every day my dear husband. He was my life and they took him!!!!

Worst care ever!!! Extremely rude at reception. Cursory exam after a 2 hr wait during which someone…read moreelse was diagnosed with something really bad. Of course they couldn't disclose what it was (Hippa) but all of the sudden they were in a frenzy and giving out N19 masks (but failed to communicate to all the patients that we need to replace our masks with these immediately). Not really their fault for the potential exposure but the communication to the rest of us sitting in the waiting room was extremely poor at best, they were far more concerned with their own protection. I will never be back! The patient with the issue was treated like a leper, told to leave, go straight through the waiting room and not stop. Wouldn't it be safer to get us out of the waiting room first?! So unexpected from a Hackensack Meridian facility, especially since they are located right across the street from the hospital. Once seen, I explained to the doctor that I had a reoccurring cold, sore throat, fatigue for 2 mos. and suddenly an eye infection. He looked at my throat for 2 seconds, never looked in my ears, did not take my temperature, but promptly prescribed antibiotics and eyedrops. It was the most inadequate exam I have ever experienced. I am still reeling from it. I would rate it a zero if I could!
