It is known for its impressive nine acres of indoor gardens and waterfalls housed within glass atriums. The resort boasts a wide range of amenities including a full-service spa (Relâche Spa), several swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), a water park called SoundWaves, a fitness center, and a golf course. The Spa is ok and offer lots of services with a few skin care lines but my personal favorite is " Emminence Organic skin care" and this is one of the only locations close to me. The only reason this review isn't a one-star is because of the actual massage service--which was fantastic. My therapist was attentive, checked in frequently, and clearly cared about my comfort and the quality of the treatment. That's the one highlight. Unfortunately, everything else about the experience left a lot to be desired. I called in advance because I had a full day to unwind and wanted to make sure the spa had enough to offer. I was told they had a steam room, sauna, eucalyptus room, hot tub, and more--all within the spa area. That either wasn't accurate or was a major overstatement. * The showers were not functioning properly--both knobs were broken and temperature control was impossible. * Towels were tossed everywhere, with no organization or cleanliness upkeep. * What was described as "ice towels" in front of the sauna were bone dry and room temp at best. * No sign of a hot tub or any inviting relaxation areas. * The water station was underwhelming, with no cold or infused water options. Wanting to settle in and make the most of the day, I asked if I could purchase a drink--maybe a glass of wine or champagne--but was told I couldn't have any alcohol before my massage, and that no drinks were allowed. Odd, but I respected the policy. However, after the treatment, I was told I'd receive a complimentary glass of champagne--what I received was a literal sip, maybe an ounce at most. When I politely asked if that was the full serving, I was met with rude and condescending commentary that made me feel embarrassed for even asking. To be blunt: the front desk staff and support team were the biggest letdown. From the moment I arrived to when I left, they were either dismissive or cold, which does not align with the kind of experience expected at a spa with this reputation and price point. If you're booking solely for the massage, it might be worth it--but if you're looking for a relaxing, welcoming, full-day spa experience, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This was my first time visiting Relache Spa, even though I've been to Gaylord Opryland several times. All of the other times, I would pass by the spa entrance on the way to the gym, take a deep breath (the spa area smells amazing), and think to myself: Some day, I'll book a massage or facial here. Well, this last visit was it! I booked a facial. From start to finish, my experience was amazing. I was shown to the changing room and given a locker, a robe and some sandals. The robes they have here are oversized and plush on the inside, and make you want to curl up in them and take a nap. Then I was escorted to the relaxation room, where there were a variety of snacks (white chocolate-covered pretzels and trail mix), as well as ice water and hot tea. There were also some magazines to peruse, and comfy chairs to sit in while I enjoyed my snacks and waited for my esthetician. My esthetician was prompt and friendly and made me feel super relaxed. My facial was amazing. I felt like a new person when I was done, and I felt like my skin could breathe. It's wonderful what a great facial can do! Afterward, I was taken back to the relaxation room to decompress and enjoy more snacks and beverages, and then I was free to enjoy the other amenities of the spa. The other amenities of the spa include a steam room with eucalyptus (oh so relaxing, and great if you need a space to breathe and clear your sinuses), a dry sauna, a station with salt scrub and lotion, showers, and lots of little nooks where you can pamper yourself, like a hydration station with two different types of water, and perfume area with six different scents to choose from. I spent a little while after my facial just pottering around and trying different things. I visited the spa on a Tuesday, so it was nice and quiet when I visited. I only saw one other woman briefly in the spa when I was there. It was so nice and relaxing. After my facial, I treated myself to some of the salt scrub that they offer in the spa that I used and loved. It made my hands so soft, so I can't wait to use it at home. read more

Disappointed. The "relaxation room" is now a very tiny space & it is co-ed. I can't "relax" in nothing but a robe with men in there. No drinks, snacks, etc. A far cry from what this place used to be, yet the prices remain the same or higher. Even more disappointing, however, is that I paid for a 50 minute facial that lasted only 40 minutes AND I paid for an "add on" scalp massage for an extra $30. It was not an add on at all - they just cut time off my facial. I was extremely angry about this. Guess someone needs to school them on what "add" actually means. First off I made an appointment for Sat on the phone and the lady said the fee would be 175 and not to be alarmed that they will be charging 20% service charge which would be around 195 total (she said). I appreciated that she let me know ahead of time. But after the massage, the guy at the front desk said it was 185 and auto tip of 20% turned out to be $222. It wasn't about the cost as much as misinformation and customer service. It was also at the end of the day and he was talking really fast like he needed to go somewhere. The massage itself was good. I just didn't like the sales pitch at the beginning when you get there (if I wanted addtl services I would've already booked it), the products they get you to buy after the massage and again at checkout (again if I wanted the product I would've sought it out). I thought the locker room would be bigger and the relaxation lounge was crowded. There were like 10 people co-ed all waiting around for their massage. We were sitting around and looking at each other. Pretty awkward considering we're half naked under our robes. I was just looking to relax which I was able to for a while during the massage but really felt awkward and uncomfortable overall. read more

I arrived at the spa early so I could enjoy the sauna and steam room. The front desk was friendly & welcoming. I sat in the relaxation room and sipped hot tea and relaxed. After using the steam room, showering and treating myself to a hand salt scrub in the ladies lounge. I like that cell phones are supposed to be left in lockers. This helped me relax even more. The relaxation room is a little small. Snacks and and an assortment of teas were offered. My massage was wonderful and much needed. I'm going back soon for a facial. I wish the spa offered a hot tub. That would definitely make it the total package for me. read more

Although pricey, the host was kind and receiving. Spa is clean and great ambiance. Teas and water and pretzels, nuts snacks available. The customer service was wonderful however the quality of the hair treatments I received was less than satisfactory. I had hoped to get a layered trim and style during my stay here. My hair came out very choppy, blunt, and uneven. While I felt very welcome and the staff was both friendly and professional, it was not nearly enough to make up for the outcome of the subpar haircut. This is what my manicure looked like after 36 hours, and AFTER they supposedly "fixed it" at the 24 hour mark, which they also charged me for. I would have had better results bringing my $2 nail polish with me. By the way, also paid extra for the nail polish they told me "lasts longer". Over $100 in less than 2 days, and this is the result. And is now what I'm stuck looking like going to a conference to meet clients for the next to days. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO IT YOURSELF! the "experience" isn't that good. I should have known better when they can charge $80 for a basic manicure (though website says $55, and I did confirm I was getting a basic manicure), and the chair the nail specialist sat in to do my nails was broken and so warn you could see the insides. read more

I got an organic facial and relaxing massage. Both were extremely relaxing and I had wonderful service providers. The ladies dressing room was nice and clean but just like the relaxation room were on the small side. For being located in such a grand hotel I guess I expected a bigger spa and amenities. However I was not disappointed with the staff or the services. I would go back and would refer friends to this location nonetheless. read more

Lindsay, my Massage Therapist, took time to ask me questions about what I needed, and from her first touch I knew I was in very good hands. Wow! This really helped me and I felt absolutely energized. First time I've walked without a limp in two months! Then I had a facial with Sharon. She definitely knows skin and mine STILL feels great, a week later. Umm. Here's the deal. $180 for a 40 minute massage? In Nashville? I have stayed at numerous resorts, and yes they're pretty high end. Why in the world is a hot stone massage $180? Why is a facial $180? Look people I live in LA, and go to amazing spas in Beverly Hills, Malibu, and Santa Monica that are much more affordable. These prices are outrageous. However, I was willing to get the massage- as unbelievable as that may sound. What truly halted my moving forward was the unprofessional nature of the front desk ladies. If a spa is going to charge ridiculous prices, they should at the least provide good service. Sorry but this ones a major no go in my book. What a fantastic place. My wife and I didn't have a lot of time, so we could only spend a couple hours, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The exercise facility is wonderful. All kinds of machines and free weights. The spa is amazing! Totally relaxing, wonderful service and attentiveness. The facilities are in tiptop shape. I love the sauna and steam room. 1st off, I've had many massages and this by far was the worst. She made it a point to slather me in excessive oil, and then proceeded to soak my hair in oil as well, which was not part of the massage, then seem to want to pull my hair by the roots. Started pressing my pressure points as if to see if I would respond. She barely massaged me at all, it seemed like she was annoyed that she had to do her job on me. Wouldn't go here again if they gave me a free massage!!! My wife's masseuse told her about the products he was using, I got none of that, she never got her hair touched period and all I got was soaked in oil for nearly $200 and had to shower to get it all off me. read more

Worst spa experience ever. I was greeted by a hostess eager to upsell me even though everything was super expensive. And the kicker..."you pay extra but you don't get any extra time". Umm...ok so she's going to squeeze a $20 service into my already short massage?? Ugh. When that didn't work, how about "we can extend that massage for you!" As if They're doing me a favor... I'm paying for it so why would that be a favor? Pathetic attempt to "make me happy" when in all reality it was trying to make more money. Then the massage itself. It was very short. 50 mins supposedly but they bring you back and explain things and have you undress and start 10 mins past the start time...and go to 50 mins after the hour on the dot. Talk about short changing people!!! Especially with the astronomical prices being paid. I was thoroughly disappointed and will never return.... I can't say enough what a rip off this place was. $162 for a short massage that was, frankly, mediocre at best. Oh and just to let you know, they automatically added a 20% service charge, part of which goes to the massager... what if she didn't deserve 20%? I guess the guests opinions don't matter. Just left Relache Spa for some New Years Eve pampering, & it was amazing! I left feeling happy, relaxed & rejuvenated for the New Year! :) Here are some tips to get the most out of your experience: -check their Facebook page for specials -20% gratuity is included on services -if you are a Nashville resident like me, put in your GPS "Opryland Cascades" & park on the cascade side in self-parking -take elevators to 2nd floor & follow the signs -get parking ticket validated once you get to spa -arrive 1 hr early to enjoy the steam room & sauna -shower before & after the steam room & sauna -showers are in high-demand on busy days... make it quick! -don't forget to keep your locker locked -drink lots of the lovely elderberry water that is SO good for your system -I HIGHLY recommend Tara, she was my massage therapist & made me feel so comfortable & did a phenomenal massage. When I arrived, the showers, sauna and steam room were all out of service in the ladies locker room. One toilet was also flushing constantly (broken) so the locker room was incredibly loud, more like a gym locker room than a spa. Not being able to to use any of those amenities, it was an extremely boring hour plus while waiting for my service, as I had showed up early to use them. It was not mentioned when I checked in that anything wasn't functional- had it been, I'd have come later. The sauna, constantly flushing toilet and one shower was fixed by the time my services were over, however sauna use was discouraged by my provider, so I missed out. The showers also did not have the eucalyptus steam feature that was mentioned on the website (though there was a sign advertising that the spray was available for sale...) and since only one was working there was a huge line for it and it felt very rushed The services were ok, though I wouldn't go on a weekend... their weekend pricing is a little painful for what you get. but the low rating was really because I was really disappointed that the amenities weren't available, and there was no mention of anything not working when I booked or checked in, and no attempt to make it right AT ALL. Also, their estectians seem more like salespeople than relaxation experts. Mine was SUPER pushy about the products I "needed", and being completely unwilling to recommend anything I could grab where I usually shop, Sephora or ulta. The products she recommended totalled about $500 (for three things!), and as I could t get a sample to see how my skin would react after a few days of using it (like you can literally anywhere else that sells skincare) I said no thanks, which the lady at the desk wasn't too polite about. read more

I am a spa snob. A five star is very, very hard for me to give when it comes to spas. But for Relache, it was easy. The girls were amazing. They treat you with the nurturing care that is expected when going to a spa. My pedicure was amazing, and I LOVED the massage. Bravo girls! I then enjoyed the amenities while I waited an hour for my next service because I was able to get in same day! Wow!The outdoor hot tub was so relaxing and refreshing. The trail mix bowl and hot tea also pushed it up to meet my high standards. I finished with the hydrofacial. Again, wow! What a treatment. At the end I was able to see all the oil and build up sucked out of my skin. It is more than "just a facial". It is truly a treatment. I highly recommend this for amazing results! read more

I scheduled a Harvest Glow pedicure a few hours before I wanted it. They were very accommodating with scheduling me in. Although pricy ($90 after 20% gratuity and $5 up charge for a longer lasting polish), I felt like it was a good value considering everything at the resort has a high markup (food, alcohol, services). My pedicure included a complimentary glass of champagne and the woman giving me the pedicure was friendly and did a wonderful job. I also had spa privileges before and after my appointment. I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I had a prenatal massage at Relache yesterday to finish up a nice weekend in Nashville. The massage itself was great. The masseuse was friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Unlike other reviewers I did not have a problem with the front desk staff being rude. Everyone was very courteous. For the price I would have expected the facilities to be more luxurious. The showers were nice but the relaxation rooms seemed a bit cramped as did the treatment rooms. There were no windows to look out at natural areas but then again the building is a massive complex in a concrete jungle so what can you do? I'm giving the spa 3 stars mainly due to the high price without high luxury. Another BIG reason is that I was basically kicked out at 6:30 even though they advertise being open until 8:00. My massage was over at 6. I proceeded To shower etc and was soon informed that they were closing early as no services were booked for the evening. The lady was nice but I thought that was very poor judgement by management. I was leaving from the spa to head to the airport and had no where else to get ready. At the very least they should have informed me when I arrived. I probably wouldn't return to this spa but if this is your only option you will have a nice massage. I had a very nice time at Relache this morning. When approaching the hotel, I came upon a super-helpful employee who told me where to go. To get to the spa, you want to go to the Cascades lobby where you will valet your car for free (the spa will validate your parking). Once inside, you take a left, walk up the stairs, and there you are at the spa--super convenient! Now, for a run-down of the pros and cons: Pros * My facial with Sharon was amazing! Seriously, the facial was awesome and included a great foot, hand, and upper body massage. Sharon provided great skin care education and assessment as part of the experience * The products available in the changing area are top notch *The staff was very friendly and accommodating Cons *The spa is much smaller than those I have visited at other resorts. * I would have liked for the reservationist to ask me if I prefer a male or female massage therapist *I was a bit creeped out by a fully-clothed male hanging out in the Relaxation Lounge texting on his cell phone * For the facial, clients are only given a hand towel to drape over their chests. Let me tell you, if your girls are substantial, that isn't going to cut it--you are going to be stressed worrying you're going to pop out at any second. We need the snaps or Velcro offered at other spas! * My deep tissue massage was wack! I've had better massages at the airport lounge. No joke! Super disappointing. All in all, the spa experience was pretty great, at least as far as the facial goes. I will not go back for a massage. For resort prices, I expect everything to be top notch. This past weekend I was a guest of the hotel and needed a manicure. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Donna who, by far, gave me the best manicure of my life. While the prices are high, I thoroughly enjoyed my day at the spa. As a local, I was treating myself to a one day staycation. It was a great experience. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would like to see the prices a little lower. By booking multiple services, I did receive a discount, which helped. From the time I first called to get information, through making reservations, and arriving at the facility, all of the staff I encountered were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The facility is very nice, and had nearly everything you could want. As a plus size person, I assumed that they would not have a robe to fit me, so I brought my own. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to find that they did have robes that I was comfortable in. I arrived early to take advantage of the sauna, and used the relaxation room before and after my treatments. It was a full spa day. The services I received were great. I get regular massages, but Carlos gave me the best one I have had in a while. The facial was good, with a minimum of upselling. The mani and pedi were great as well. I will definitely go back when I can afford a special treat. read more

I LOVE Relache. I've had the classique manicure, de-stress pedicure, swedish massage, and two of the signature facials. The signature facial is amazing, because they use a bunch of products that are personalized to your skin needs. The techniques they use are fantastic, and my skin glows after one of these facials. I got the Shellac with my manicure, which made my french manicure last for 4 weeks. It was the most amazing thing to not have to touch up my nails for an entire month. read more

I had a different manicurist this time and she was nowhere near as professional or friendly as the first. She actually was so rough I had to pull my hand away from her due to the pain. This is the most Amazing Spa I have ever been too. I have been to quite a few over the year. First the staff is amazing. The check in/check out staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They took the time to explain any questions I had. If was clear they like like their jobs and work for a place that cares about its people.
