This place was so much fun to hunt through! They had amazing deals on great furniture pieces. I got a practically new dining room hutch for $85 which I thought was very reasonable. The ladies working the desk were very helpful and accommodating in arranging a pickup time for me. When I came back to pick up the piece, they had a crew load it into my car for me. I didn't have to do anything! I would definitely come back here to shop and hunt around for cool vintage stuff. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area! read more

Mark is simple the best! He is warm and friendly and always ready to make a deal. I've been a fan for over ten years! Me, my sister and my mom have bought so many quality pieces of furniture from him. We are there so often he affectionately nicknamed us "The West Roxbury Girls". I moved to Norwood last year (maybe so I could be closer Lol , and his new location in Main Street is awesome! Well organized and lots of great stuff. New location is not nearly as fun as the old one. They've gone upscale and only have "fancy" stuff now. Their basement section is minimal. The old location was awesome - you could spend hours poking around in the basement and come out with an armload of great old kitchenware, pictures, lamps, etc. New location is a fancy antique shop and has hardly anything useful. Sad to lose the original. Not worth the trip to Norwood anymore. read more

Stopped in while browsing at the Mill Shops, and the space they have is absolutely enormous. The first floor has china, some things in a couple of glass cases, probably the more pricey items from their cleanouts/estate sales. Upstairs is really something to see: every kind of furniture you can imagine, plus more. Kind of hard to describe as it just kept going and going and going. Since they are constantly doing cleanouts, I would imagine good things are constantly moving, so it could be a fun place to browse if you are looking for furniture. I can't say enough good about this place. I recently moved into a new home and am in the process of buying furniture for the place, and this is a gold mine for those who want to find a whole range of pieces from fixer-uppers, to beautiful old antiques. The place is MASSIVE, and has a lot of dedicated staff to help you find things, answer questions, even help you move something heavy to your car. Better still, they are extremely friendly. The prices are excellent, and they will entertain a fair deal if you present one. Because they work with such a high volume of furniture, they like to turn over the stock in order to get new things on the floor, so items are priced affordably. Remarkable is now one of my favorite spots to look for furniture. We hired Mark Waters to clean out the apartment of our aunt who moved into an assisted living facility with a limited amount of her belongings. Mark arrived on time to give an estimate and was extremely pleasant and professional. The pricing was very reasonable. Our aunt was happy to know that Mark repurposes and donates a lot of her belongings. His crew showed up on time as agreed, and did a wonderful job, leaving the apartment empty and broom clean. This review relates specifically to the older woman with longer brown hair pulled back at the front register yesterday (12/29/18) around 2pm. I wish I had gotten your name to include in this review. I've ALWAYS been able to get great deals here, and the people have always been nice. For the last couple of weekends everything in the store was 50% off to make space for the new year (as I was told by one of the employees). Last weekend there was a sign, but I don't recall seeing a sign the previous weekend. So, when I went in yesterday, with it being the last weekend in the year, I just assumed items were still on sale even though there wasn't a sign. Yes, I know I should not have assumed! I went to the front register to pay for my items, which as priced would have been $50. There was no one at the counter. An older lady with longish brown hair pulled back, got up from a table to take care of me. When I asked if there was 'wiggle room' she kind of scoffed and said $50. I was a bit taken back thinking the items would be half off. She didn't even come down a dollar. Never once have I been in there when I wasn't provided some sort of discount. When she asked what I wanted to pay, my response was 50% off because I thought everything was on still on sale. At this point she says to a gentleman, I assume a co-worker, in a most sarcastic manner, "she wants 50% off". Again, I tried to explain my reasoning and she reminded me there were no signs. Maybe this woman is always rude, maybe she was just having a bad day, or maybe she didn't want her pizza to get cold. Whatever the reason, she needs some lessons in being nicer and treating customers with respect whether they're spending $50 or $500. As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, I've always had great experiences at this shop. In the last 3-6 months I've spent at least $1,000 and yesterday was ready to spend more. And since I didn't spend my money in this shop, I found something I liked in another shop and was willing to spend more money on the item. For the sake of the store, I hope you're not treating other customers in the same manner. In closing, I'd like to suggest that if you're going to continue talking about the customer as they are leaving the store, you probably shouldn't talk so loud. Or at least wait until they're gone. They said it was sold last week and shrugged it off said they'll give me a discount on another dresser but they had nothing even close to the one I was interested in. Remarkable Cleanouts is amazing. If you're a bargain hunter or enjoy thrift stores you've hit the mother load. This place is absolutely huge, and they have a little bit of everything. Books, furniture, china, electronics, decor pieces, rugs, jewelry. You name it, you can probably find it here, and the prices are very reasonable. It's basically a big warehouse on two levels, definitely not your typical retail experience, but if you don't mind picking through a bunch of stuff there are some gems to be found. read more

This place is great. I could spend hours in here, they have such an eclectic inventory of things. I told Mark I was looking for a bed frame, and he made sure I left with something I liked at a price I loved. The service is exceptional. Cannot recommend this place enough. I used to really love this place because it is a true treasure trove. Love the thrill of picking through mounds and mounds of stuff. The owner and women who work upstairs are sweet and welcoming as can be. I always felt some of the prices were a little on the high side as marked, but as other reviewers said some of the prices are negotiable. Got a bad taste in my mouth when the saleswoman downstairs was ringing me up but needed to check eBay auctions before giving me a price for a few dishes. I understand this is their business and they are in it for the cash, but customers shouldn't have to dig through piles of dishes for an hour, wait while a salesperson searches eBay, and then pay a high auction price. I think next time I'll just search for my items on eBay. It's much faster and probably cheaper, but I will miss the thrill of the hunt. read more

Old stuff, newer stuff, relatively clean and good light so you can see condition. Have made 20 mile trip from Boston twice, very pleased with our finds. Pricing is fair and negotiable. Staff is pleasant and helpful, including the delivery people. (Delivery available, also fairly priced). Open three days a week. we used ReMarkable Cleanouts to move us from our house to a condo. They were on time, had plenty of help and trucks. We were moved out of our house in 2 hours and into our condo 2.5 hours later. Our condo was within 10 miles of the house.Remarkable took away all the junk we did not want from decent items to throw away items. They transported a large snow blower to a relatives who lives three towns away. We did not need to empty out our dressers and they emptied our closets and put the cloths into the closets in the condo. Fabulous company and have recommended them to anyone who listens. read more

Said he forgot, then didn't have the right address, one excuse after the other and now he does not respond to text messages or phone calls. Hate to leave negative reviews, but this one is deserved.
