I have a friend who is a former real estate agent and also a professional photographer, and she showed me the difference between the picture. The broker took of my kitchen and one my friend took. HUGE difference! We live in a visual culture, people buy based on the way something looks. Just a shift in a camera angle or lighting really makes a difference. I asked my agent to hire a professional photographer. I have a witness to her response. The agent said to me, "I only hire a professional photographer for my higher priced homes." I felt discriminated against. And she became very defensive. So she has only shown the house twice in 4 months. She says it is because it is summer. But when I put it on the market there were aboit 14 total on the market in my community. Now there are only 6 for sale. Why? Because the others sold through the summer! If I cancel the 6 month agreement I have to pay her the full fee. I am going to her broker about this. I say steer clear...!

You apply, put all information into website and they still ask for your past leasing information even though it's in the application. Best of all, is that if you don't apply quickly they will threaten your application to remove it entirely. Student? No thank you. My financee sends all the paper work to show they have housing funds to pay for it and they don't want you. That wasn't even the worst thing. We toured this property in early January and asked to see an apartment. Lady was rude, we asked to see a 1 bed, 1 bathroom apartments available to see, given a flat no, none were available, but then we told her if she had 2 bedroom to see and she said yes and that's it, we had to ask if we can see it. She obviously didn't want to step outside in the cold and do her job. Instead of saying "Sorry we don't have any 1 bedrooms available but we have a 2 bedroom unit if you'd like to see it". You have to grind your teeth in order to get information from them. Management needs to be fixed, maybe hire people with actual customer service experience.
