Gina set up her patio for us to be able to follow covid-19 precautions and still enjoy ourselves painting. This was our first time painting and we are ready to do it again! Gina was great! She made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our painting session. She's such a great teacher, she was patient and kept us motivated and moving on with our painting. She was very informative as to what to expect since this was our first time . She went out of her way to make me feel like we were just going to her studio to hang out with friends ! From the very first time I attended an event with Rembrandt and Rose' where we painted a Sunflower I knew that these two ladies Gina Blom and Her daughter Lauren Denton we're going to make my desire to learn to paint a run reality. My Dad is the artist in my family so I usually don't attempt to paint or draw because I've always known it's not my forte'. I love to crochet though! So when my friend Tara invited me to a class, I hesitated to say yes, but I wanted to spend the evening with her having fun, so I agreed. I'm so glad I did because I had so much fun and my husband and my daughter were shocked at how good I did. The night of the class I walked in to see a group of women and one man sitting on metal stools and in front of blank canvases. I found my friend and her sister in law and her mother and got my apron on and got ready to get my paint on. The ladies that run Rembrandt and Rose' were walking around chatting with everyone, people that have taken their class numerous times and people that were first timers, like me. Their names are Gina and Lauren and they are mother and daughter. They take turns running the class, the night I took the class Lauren was running it. She is too funny and is constantly making you laugh. I love her rules, my favorite was don't make fun of yourself or others. I caught myself a couple times, thinking I wasn't doing a good enough job and that's when you raise your hand for Gina to come over and help. She gives you hands on help and verbal tips. At the end, I turned around from where I was sitting and saw how different everyones was. I love that they take a group picture to see how everyone did different colors or added a little something to their art. These ladies are so welcoming into their studio and on their chalk board with a list of their upcoming classes the quote you come in as a friend and leave as family is most certainly true. When I come back for another class I know Gina and Lauren will welcome me with open arms and treat me like family and I won't feel nervous about painting again with these two. The owner/instructor, Gina is amazing! Her energy and enthusiastic attitude naturally makes you smile and have fun! She makes everyone feel included and important. Her shop is a judgement free zone. I've taken her painting classes with girlfriends, with my husband and by myself. I always felt comfortable and had a lot of fun. Love this place!! We came here for a friends birthday. I've been to a few painting places so I thought what could be different about this one. I WAS WRONG. As soon as you walk in, you feel at home. Gina and her daughter have done an amazing job making the place feel nice and cozy. She made us feel right at home. I loved that she took her time with us, didn't rush us, and actually taught us while painting. Overall, it was a great time! I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back. This review is really late. But i loved painting with them! It's a mother daughter thing and they are absolutely amazing. They got my mother to paint who really isn't into that stuff very much and always says she can't. Our paintings turned out amazing and we had such a good time. Amazing spot downtown Turlock!! Just finished attending a fundraiser hosted here and it was so much fun!! We had a great time! It's perfect for birthday parties, bachelorette parties or just a little girls night out!! Lauren was amazing with teaching us how to paint our cute lil elephant, she was so patient with our group (not a small group). She made it so easy to understand by starting off with a little outline of our painting!! Gina was amazing!!!! She really captured what we were trying to accomplish at our first ever Executive team building retreat!!!! All of our team had a great time and it was a great way to start out our 3 days. This event really assisted in setting the positive tone for creating a bond that helped us approach our retreat goals. SO MUCH FUN! We had kind of a crazy/rowdy group for a bachelorette party and Lauren was so sweet and attentive and patient with all of us! She answered any questions we had and took us step by step through the process. (With 14 girls and 1 boy that can be challenging). This place is amazing. I have been to two paint and sip sessions here and had both mom and daughter as a teacher. They are absolutely hilarious and very good at what they do. I felt comfortable here right away. Both paintings came out very good, and they were very helpful with techniques.
