we stayed here 2 nights on a short trip to london. the hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful when we had questions. we walked all around london while we were here and felt this location was an excellent spot to stay. it felt like one of the safest locations to stay, if not the safest. we never once felt unsafe or uneasy here. it is in a nicer part of london that's within walking distance of many major attractions, train stations, and bus stops. i would definitely recommend this hotel, and even stay again on possible future visits!

I stayed here 5 nights on a deal through British Airways. It was a great value for the price we paid and location of the hotel. The Rembrandt was solid. Everything was clean and tidy, though the aesthetic is a little dated, especially the couches in the lobby. The hotel bar is comfy but also a little dated. The snacks that come with pre-dinner drinks were a nice touch, though, and they make a good Pimm's Cup. The breakfast each morning was definitely comprehensive, though sometimes the bread was hard or some of the meats were a little greasy. Still, you could definitely find something to eat each morning. You have to pay to use the gym next store, the equivalent of about $10 per person per day. Too bad that price can't be brought down a little. I would stay here again, especially given its proximity to the Tube and the neighborhood surrounding it.

We had an enjoyable stay over the royal wedding weekend. The hotel is well-located, particularly for tourists. It's right across the street from the Victoria & Albert, and less than 5 minutes walk from Harrods. The South Kensington tube stop is also very close by. In addition to the shopping, there are some nice restaurants close by - neighborhood and fancier. Our double room was comfortable and well-furnished. The staff was friendly and accommodating, easily handling our early arrival. Breakfast is the standard fare at English hotels. The food was fine, if nothing special. Overall, a nice hotel where I would stay again if in the area.

    Yummy!

Great location and a nice, smallish hotel with a friendly, accomodating staff and a lovely bar. We enjoyed staying here.

We were looking for something fun and different from a traditional afternoon tea, and this definitely leaned more interactive than expected. Arrival and First Impressions Reservations are important, and when we arrived the space was already filled with families. The setting feels polished but still very welcoming for kids, which is not always the case with afternoon tea in London. Service was excellent from the start, organized without feeling too formal, and the overall atmosphere had a fun, lively energy. The Highlights The experience is built around science themed trays filled with a mix of sweet and savory items. The kids immediately locked into the interactive elements, especially the build your own strawberry lemonade with different colored syrups, which turned into more of a mini experiment than just a drink. They also had cake pops, scones, and small PB and J sandwiches, all very approachable and fun. One of the better touches was a small take home item, a dinosaur themed tin, which the kids treated like a prize from the experience. It added to the overall feeling that this was designed with kids in mind. The adult trays had a similar variety with finger sandwiches, pastries, custards, and scones. Everything was solid and there was plenty to try. Being able to request more of anything you liked helped balance things out a bit and made it feel less restrictive for the price. The Challenges The biggest drawback is the cost. For a family of four it came out to around 350 USD, which is a significant spend for what is essentially afternoon tea. It leans more toward a themed experience than a traditional tea service, so if you are expecting something quiet and refined, this may not be the right fit. Final Thoughts This is one of those experiences that works really well if you go in with the right expectations. It is interactive, a little chaotic in a good way, and clearly designed for families more than traditional tea purists. We would not rush back and I removed a star due to the price, but we are glad we did it once because the kids genuinely loved it and still talk about it. If you are looking for something unique and are comfortable with the cost, it is worth it for the experience, though the value depends on how much you lean into the interactive side.

The savory sandwiches were our favorite. The scones were very good with fun toppings to try on your jam and cream. The sweets were just okay. The macarons were the best part of the sweets and they were half-dissolved because of a server mishap with the fun smoke effect. It was a fun one-time experience for our family.

My two girlfriends and I rented a triple room and it was roomy enough for us, all of our luggage and towers of shopping bags. We were only given one key, and you have to be buzzed in for safety reasons after 10 or 11 pm, but that was fine for us. The staff was so accommodating. The bathroom had a towel warmer which came in handy- it is freezing in London right now. We had the perfect view of The Buttery's garden from our huge window. There is an adorable market just steps away- for provisions after hours. In the states we are used to hotel rooms having in room refrigerators- but the market made it easy to get cold drinks every night. 10/10

Ssshhhh! I honestly don't want to tell anyone about the Lime Tree Hotel - it's only 26 rooms and…read moreprobably the best kept secret in this very posh area of London!! But for you, Yelp, I'll spill the reasons why you should stay here on your next visit to London... 1) The Location is awesome. You know the three rules of real-estate, right??? location, Location, LOCATION! Lime Tree (hence-forth, LT) is located in a very posh area of London. I saw McLarens and Rolls-Royces parked ON THE STREET where the hotel is located. Who parks a USD$200K+ car ON THE STREET?!? It is short walk to the Victoria Coach Station(s), Trains and Underground (Tube). There are plenty of pubs, restaurants, grocery stores and shops around. Our room overlooked the Peggy Porschen Bakery, which I kid you not, is Instagramed during all hours by "influencers". I only hope they get as much busy as they get featured in pics on the Internet! Also, down the street is Philip Treacy, Milner to Royalty! Again, LOCATION! 2) I would be remiss if I did not mention The Service at LT. There is an eight-hour shift rotation of lovely front desk people that check you in, collect your key when you leave (yes, there is a physical key to your room door and they ask that you leave it at the front desk everytime you leave). I am goingto butcher their name spellings (probably), but during our 8 night stay here, we came to know Simone, Martine, Maggy and Laura very well and all were charming, helpful and total professionals. My mother has stayed here several times before and was hoping to speak to the owner, Matt and Charlotte, but they were off on holiday, but I hear they are as hard-working and amiable as the Wondrous Women of the Front Desk (henceforth known as WWFD) 3) The Buttery - the SMALL breakfast/lunch restaurant in the LT (but you can't charge your meals to your room in the LT). The Word is out on on this place - there were just as many Locals eating here as there were guests at the hotel. RESERVATIONS are HIGHLY recommended (they are on OpenTable). I wrote a seperate review on The Buttery, so do a Yelp search and find that, but you honestly can't go wrong here. We ate 4 of the 8 days. TomTom across the street is also a one-location (at this time) gem and is packed after 9am. Early bird gets the good breakfast! Much love to the Lime Tree! I'll be back someday
