Had to pick a hotel on my long-awaited return trip to Paris. Obviously was gonna go with something nicer in the Marriott collection, and the Renaissance Paris Republique Hotel was the cheapest option of the bunch that was in the Renaissance-level tier. When I booked this originally, I got an upgrade to a Bobo room with a king bed instead of the original Paris Style with a queen bed. Well, I'm not sure what the hell happened, but after checking in on the app, their system moved my reservation to an entire month later. Which could have posed a major problem since I knew the hotel was completely sold out. Thankfully, Ines at the front desk managed to salvage the situation and get us the same Bobo room, albeit only with a queen. Regardless, considering the hotel was sold out, I wasn't about to complain. Thanks to Ines for fixing everything! Aside from that, the room itself was fairly modern and fairly spacious for European standards. You can't take for granted how big a hotel room is in Europe, which is why I would only ever stay at an American-branded hotel. Don't get me wrong, the room was still small, but not cramped to the point that there wasn't room to maneuver around. Had a nice view of the courtyard from the bedroom as well as the bathroom. Curiously though, the bathroom had clear windows, so you would have needed to put the blinds down if you wanted privacy. Did appreciate the huge walk-in shower though! And the A/C works perfectly well. Staff here are extremely friendly! They obviously know a significant portion of their clientele only speak English, and everyone working the lobby area speak English very well. Wanted to also give a shoutout to Fabien at the concierge for helping me sort out how to get a Ile-de-France weekly train pass from the Paris Metro booth! Only issue is that I only had some of my housekeeping requests fulfilled, as I called a few times for some extra tissue boxes but they either took too long or were never sent up. As far as location, I liked it, but it really depends where you want to situate yourself. I personally like being next to a train station that has a lot of lines passing through it, and the Republique station that's literally right next to the hotel has five lines going through it. Plus for quick food options, there was a McDonald's, Burger King, and KFC all right next to each other. It is next to the Monument à la République. Le Marais is walkable from here. But if you want to be closer to the tourist attractions, probably not the best place for you. This is definitely more of a hipster location. Paris is a big city though, so I was fine with it. I did check out the gym to see what it looked like. Fairly small and nondescript. Didn't check out the spa though. Despite the hotel room mishap, I enjoyed my stay here. A great hotel in the area. Very close to the Republique metro station and walkable to many spots. I liked the cute anniversary message we were greeted with when we arrived to the room. For a Parisian room, this was quite large. The room was also quiet, which I appreciated being that it was a fairly busy hotel. We didn't get to check out the spa but it would've been nice to unwind there after a day of walking around. The staff was super attentive and anything we called down for was brought up within minutes. Turndown at night was always welcomed and it was nice to come back from dinner to a refreshed room. Only downside is Rue de Rene Boulanger is a tiny street and most Ubers will pick you up on the main road (Rue de St Martin). We always asked to be picked up in front of the cafe (Le Pachyderme) across the street. read more

Do not stay here. I was pickpocketed from staff who came in my room and they do not clean the cups from the minibar. Some of the staff are friendly. But, the front desk manager Youssef was unfortunately very unpleasant. One of my favorite hotels in Paris - I've stayed here twice and just love the location, quality of the rooms, service and staff, and the fact that there is a complimentary spa facilities for guests. The hot tub, sauna, and steam room are divine and such a nice addition to enjoy while on vacation! The style of the rooms are top notch, good size for a city hotel as well. The breakfast is very good and the common area lounge is swanky and inviting. Definitely a place to hang out and enjoy the metro vibes. We stayed here during a recent trip to Paris. Due to the fact that we can't plan for shit, we booked this literally one week before arrival and it was definitely one of the most reasonably priced AND decent hotels I could find. We arrived after a longish flight as the roosters were singing at like 8 or 9am. I could barely keep my eyes open and thus was very appreciative that they were able to check us into our room immediately. The hotel is very clean and modern. Our room required a bit of a hike from the elevator, which I suppose could be a good thing. The room was very small and provided minimal walking space if our suitcases were open. I don't even think GF could open hers but I found a few square inches of floor space to leave mine open. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower was also very large with a fantastic shower head and water pressure. The shower was not completely enclosed so if you are an aggressive or rachet showerer, there may be a leak but as a self-proclaimed rachet showerer, I didn't have a problem. The AC works wonderfully and our room was cold like the arctic. A couple issues tho: when we FIRST checked in and used the toilet, the bathroom literally smelled incredibly foul. GF tried to play it off like it was asparagus pee (we had asparagus on the plane) but I typically don't smell that and this was unholy and resembled sewage. We went to lunch and the smell was STILL present when we returned. I thought we may have to ask for another room but after another flush, it completely vanished and did not return. Finally, the day before check out I requested a taxi to the airport the following morning for another early AF flight. The concierge offered a wake up call, which we accepted. I'm not really a wake up call bitch and don't trust that shit anyway so we set our own alarms. I'm glad we did that because they never called. If we had relied on that, we would have completely missed our flight and been fucked. We made our way to the front desk to check out and there was no taxi waiting for us. The concierge said "let me call the taxi company to find out what happened" but ultimately had to order us another taxi which took 15 minutes to arrive and making the trip to the airport tight and stressful. I don't know whose fault this was but I can say that we had no issue with the taxi our other hotel in Paris ordered. Other than the few hiccups, we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. read more

I was in this hotel for 3 nights on a group tour. They were ready with our rooms when we arrived at 3:00pm. It is clean and brightly lit. They have the fluffy robes which is always a plus! Everyone is very gracious and most of them spoke English. What can I say about the breakfast it was fabulous! You can order omelettes, plus they have a wonderful selection of fruit and cheese. Love the crusty bread and the chocolate croissants! Would definitely stay here again while visiting Paris! read more

Communication was great even before check-in. We were recognized for our anniversary with a small upgrade and bottle of champagne. We enjoyed the modern rooms, attentive service and complimentary breakfast. Many hotels in Paris seemed to have dark, vintage styling so the updated renaissance struck my eye. The bed was a bit firm for our liking. Room was stocked with multiple glasses, mugs, and a nespresso bar - but you should really get downstairs for a dreamy cappuccino in the restaurant! Breakfast was full of fresh baked breads, fruits, and an egg/omelette bar. We saved so much with free breakfast and drinks each morning. Also worth noting, the spa is beautiful and a moment to yourself in there feels magical. The area is bustling with shops and restaurants so when you walk out you feel immediately immersed in Parisian city life. We caught the public transit often from easily accessible stations in every direction of the hotel. Overall, a great home base for our adventure in Paris! read more

As a traveler from the US visiting Europe, all I can say is thank God for American and Canadian brands that have so many hotels here. It makes the process of determining quality so much easier, particularly when everything that isn't a Hampton Inn can be called a five star property in Europe, resulting in major challenges in being able to distinguish hotels within the five star range. This Renaissance property is located in a hipster neighborhood that has been gentrifying substantially over the recent decade. It's a medium sized hotel, with a couple checkin desks that always seemed very busy. There is not a special checkin area for those with status either. Due to full occupancy, there was no upgrade despite Titanium status. Breakfast is pretty decent and a step up from most Renaissance brand hotels in the US, having items like smoked salmon, an omelette station, coffee shop quality drinks and a few fresh fruit. As a matter of fact, the entire hotel can be seen as a very nice four star property by American standards and a good bit nicer than any Renaissance I've stayed at in the states. Rooms are very nicely decorated despite being quite small. Perhaps my favorite reason to stay at a brand name hotel in Paris is the comfortable bedding, which is certainly not a given at local properties of similar caliber. Thus, bed quality was of typical Renaissance quality with feather pillows present. This is not a luxurious hotel, but an excellent clean, stylish and well serviced property that would be great for a business trip or a more casual personal stay. Small requests like slippers were honored quickly. Service at breakfast was a bit sporadic, with Nidal saving the day several times when waiters were not performing. Front desk also needs to be expanded to match the size of the property. Overall, a very solid hotel that I would recommend and certainly stay in due to its convenience to the train station and an overall pleasantly surprising level of quality. read more

It's been a while since I've had such a pleasant hotel experience. From the first step into the Renaissance Paris République, the entire stay was lovely. The entire staff, including reception, breakfast host and servers, were very kind and courteous. I truly felt that they tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. My hotel rate included breakfast, which is served a la carte but you can order as much as you'd like. Over 8 days, I tried many dishes -- the favorites being the crepe pancakes, yogurt with homemade granola, and the amazing bread basket. The dining room is beautiful and the perfect setting to enjoy a meal. Now I should mention that breakfast is served in a style to "dine & enjoy"; it's not the speediest process so they do have a grab-n-go station if you're short on time, which includes the bread basket, fruit, and beverages. The lobby and bar area also has a good amount of seating with a selection of games (displayed in an elegant way, not in a messy children's manner). Now let's talk about the room. As a Marriott Bonvoy platinum member, I was upgraded from a Paris room to a larger Bobo room. The furnishings felt very luxurious. The shower was equipped with a rain shower head and the wash area has glass windows; if you're traveling with others or generally not comfortable with the concept, there are pull down curtains available. I did not have a balcony, but a charming enclave by the window with leather padding. They also provide turn down service, which essentially is providing a little sweet surprise on your pillow each evening. The hotel also has a sizable gym, plus hot tub and sauna! Everything was modern and clean. They recommend making an appointment for the sauna but I had no problem accessing it on a Sunday without one, and luckily had it all to myself! Lastly, they honored the Platinum benefit of a late check out at 4pm - which was the perfect time for me to head to the airport. Now if you can't tell, I loved my stay at the Renaissance Paris République and can't wait for my next visit! read more

It's okay. Wouldn't give it much more than okay. They promise a lot that they fail too follow through with. Also, compared to other Marriotts in the city that cost the same price, this place is horrible. We checked in, for 3 rooms. One of which was promised (to Elite, loyal members of Marriott) to be ready by 3pm. Okay, that's fair. Because of elite status they told us that one of the rooms would be upgraded. It got to be 3 and the room still wasn't available. Then 4pm passed...still not ready. At 5pm they said that a room was ready but if we wanted the upgraded room we'd have to wait till 6. So we agreed to wait till 6. That's THREE hours after check in time! At around 6:30 we finally got the keys to the room that was just like the other two rooms. Absolutely NO upgrades!!! Here's the thing, fine don't upgrade us, but don't make us wait 3.5 hours, promising us something you can't follow through with!!! Completely unprofessional. Furthermore, we were told we would receive certain prices on breakfast, which when we went to breakfast they said we weren't noted for. We then went to follow up with the front desk and they played dumb. After our experience, we will never be staying here again. Overall, I don't recommend this place. I give it a measly 2 stars because the small rooms were clean. read more

The staff really wanted us to have a nice stay, they kept asking how everything was and all which we really appreciated. My only drawback is the location, it's not far from the center of the city, but it's not close otherwise its 10/10! Super clean and modern design. read more

Great place to stay for a short visit in Paris, maybe not a longer one. We stayed for five nights and we were able to get a good feel for the hotel and the neighborhood, which had a lot going on, but maybe not the kinds of things we were looking for in our trip. The hotel itself is very nice and modern, and you can tell you're in a major hotel brand's property. It didn't feel like the smaller, cozier independent hotel we stayed at prior, and that was both a good thing at times (much more spacious rooms here), and bad times at others (like with the bed - wasn't nearly as comfy as other beds from our trip, and the less personal experience you get with both the staff and the property itself). The staff were nice enough, but mostly all business, as they had a lot of people coming in and out during the day. A few staff members really stood out as great. Antoine the bartender was the best part of the trip for us, personally, as he was always friendly and was great at his job, too. If we had a long day or a great one or if something didn't go as planned, it was nice to know Antoine was going to be at the hotel waiting to chat and serve us a round of drinks. As for the neighborhood - it was fine for us tourists since we were really close to a big metro stop and there was a grocery store or two around. Some of the area nearby wasn't the greatest, and we found that out afer an evening metro ride that routed us to a not great station because another one was under construction. During the day it's a bustling neighborhood though. Lots of American fast foot joints real close, plus other restaurants that wavered between just okay and really good. The best restaurant nearby was La Petite Rose des Sables - I can't recommend that place enough. read more

Navigator/concierge: lovely, helpful, insightful, patient, humorous. Room is gorgeous! So comfy. I used points and had suite points: fantastic. Room service was great and here in, I swear 5-10 minutes! I've never seen anything like it:-) There must be great leadership here as each person is so consistently lovely and helpful. That requires great leadership, vision casting, training, and reinforcement. The right people are hired and then retained for all the right reasons. Stayed here for 10 days for our honeymoon. They upgraded us to a large room with a balcony! It was hard to get the motivation to explore the city because the room was luxurious that you'll just want to stay in it the whole day. We arrived late night, but Lauren was accommodating. We saw her several times during our stay there and she would talk to us as if we were old friends. She's amazing. When we got up to our room during the first night, they had prepared a spread of cheese and crackers, champagne, and a hand-written note to congratulate and welcome us! There was music that was coming from somewhere and we couldn't locate the source. Turns out it was coming from the TV...that was hidden in the lower frame of the bed. You pushed this button and the TV would rise from the frame!!! We had breakfast for every morning we stayed. Never got tired of it as they always a bread basket (Pain au Chocolat is to die for!) and you could have your eggs in different ways. I got to try them all, lol. The only downside was that the room had power issues with the breaking tripping multiple times. At first, I thought it was our fault for plugging in too many things. We cut it down significantly but the power still went out. Every time we called, they responded immediately. We eventually became friends with the technician because we kept calling him. Lol. He got us a box and that solved our power issues for the rest of the trip. It has been two years since this trip, but I still have fond memories of my stay here. After my parents left me alone in Paris for a night, I had to decide which area I wanted to stay in. Though the hotel isn't in the most central location, it was closest to my previous AirBnB a few blocks away. It's also right on top of the metro and you can literally walk almost anywhere in Paris - so why not. Walked in and was immediately greeted by an associate - though I forgot to ask his name - and we had some small talk about my stay here in Paris while he finished checking me in. Since I came in at noon, he notified me that my room was upgraded a category and that it wouldn't be ready for several more hours. He explained my Platinum benefits, checked my luggage so I could go and explore the city, and he handed me a water bottle. So far so good. I didn't return until almost 6 and a different associate handed my keys to the room. Went up to the fifth floor, walked in my room, and I probably misheard because I got upgraded not 1, but 3 categories to the Artist Studio room (junior suite).The room smelled a bit funky walking in, but the smell faded past the entrance. I can confirm that the room was enormous, especially for a city known for smaller sized rooms. Waiting for me on the table was a glass (yes, real glass) test tube with chocolate peanuts inside and covered with cork - how thoughtful. The rest of the living space had a sofa but there wasn't too much furniture to crowd out the space. Past that was the bed and a bathroom that was likely the same width as the rest of the room with a separate toilet area. My favorite little detail was the leather cushion in the middle of the three window nooks that overlooked the Parisian street. Though the design was fantastic, the rooms did have some downsides, albeit minor. None of the outlets had a converter for different sized plugs though I did carry my own converter. Whoever manufactured their sink mirrors did a poor job on it because the metal light fixture behind the glass was rusted out. Also in the bathroom, there are privacy shades but they're manually operated and they're somewhat hidden (one is behind the mirror). And finally, do beware when opening the fridge because there's no space for any of your stuff and the whole thing operates on a sensor - more on that later. There's no lounge so the breakfast is available in the restaurant on the far end of the lobby. For Platinum+ guests, the complimentary breakfast is simply a pre-set menu of juice, eggs and meat, some fruits, a whole basket of bread and a side tray of real, homemade fruit jam. While the eggs weren't extraordinary, the bread and the house jam really elevated the breakfast here. After breakfast, I headed out to run some errands since I had late checkout. Did that, came back, happily used the toilet and while I was finishing up - the door opened. Apparently, the associate wasn't informed that I hadn't finished checking out and came to drop off the chocolates and a welcome letter for the next guest, but was puzzled to see my stuff still in the room. He turned around, saw me (half) naked in the bathroom waving at him, didn't know what to say, and kinda just ran out. Well, I checked out 5 minutes later and I never saw him again. All that aside, everyone I interacted with from the front desk to the staff at the restaurant was exceedingly friendly. Though when I finished checking out, the front desk didn't inform me that the minibar sensor tripped so I was charged 8 euros for something. I e-mailed them and had it rectified immediately, so it wasn't a major issue. Will stay again, though this hotel is shortly going to be unavailable for booking with the free credit card night, so this may be my last stay here unless I can amass some more Marriott points. Everything is new and bright in this just opened Renaissance, so we had no problems at all nor any complaints about our room. The décor is very modern, but still comfortable. We stayed in a "skyline suite" which appeared to have the same layout and size as a standard room, but with a beautiful view of northern Paris including Monmarte and the Sacré Cœur. Whether the room premium for the view is worth the price is entirely personal, but we enjoyed it during our stay. Bathrooms are beautiful. We would have enjoyed a little more shelf or table space in the room, but can't complain to Paris standards. Rooms are nicely dark, quiet and comfortable at night. What made us truly love the hotel was the staff. They always remembered your name, what you had been doing that day, and each and every day went extraordinarily out of their way to provide the very best personalized service. One morning at breakfast I mentioned I'd like to take a to go cup of coffee to the room for my wife, but as I was in a bit of a rush, left and went up to the room just a few minutes later. Almost immediately there's a knock on the door and a cup of coffee delivered. That little extra bit of service repeated itself in dozens of different ways every day throughout our stay. With the hotel so comfortable, close to an excellent metro stop, and with such service, we would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and would have on top of our list for our next visit. read more

I really like the hotel rooms especially if you upgrade to a king deluxe the deck core is brilliant the amenities are available in the room for a fee also the spot is open to hotel guess they do have spa services on site you can pay for and the concierge service is very helpful. There is a bit of riffraff along this area but nothing major happening when you come along to the front you'll see graffiti which gives it an inner city feel but I didn't feel threatened. The hotel staff does go the extra to make your visit special. I will return. Just as I said, I returned and enjoyed a few more nights here. The staff is the best and so helpful. I walked back from the museums during the day and enjoyed the walk. It's good exercise plus you can stop for a bite and a drink at one of the cozy cafes and have a glass of wine and relax in the outdoor courtyard. The accommodations are comfortable. read more

A wonderful, relatively new Renaissance in Paris. The location is just off Republique, so Metro access is close and simple. I have stayed here a few times in the last year on business. Rooms are relatively large and modern for Paris. The rooms have Kilburn Marshall bluetooth speakers that easily pair with iOS and have surprisingly good audio. The location is not as prime as the Hilton / Concord Opera by Saint Lazare station, but the rooms and service are much better. Since Hilton acquired the Concord Opera hotel, it has turned into a hotel dominated by large tour groups with service more like a mid-tier two star hotel. read more

First time in this hotel. I was a little concern after booking his hotel. No lounge, the room looked small, no typical buffet breakfast, and the facade looks old from the outside. To my surprise, it is truly a 5 star hotel. The hotel is small, but very modern. The only drawback is the room on the smaller size when comparing to other 5 star hotels in Paris. What's good: location. Extremely positive and friendly staff. Bicycle on site to use at no cost. The attention to details. The American breakfast was of top quality ingredients. This put my fear of having a buffet breakfast to rest. read more

I was in Paris to celebrate New Year's so everything was super expensive. Not wanting to spend a crazy amount just for 2 nights we opted to stay here, since this is still under the Marriott brand umbrella. Due to our status we got upgraded. I was deathly tired by the time we checked in and didn't hear what sort of room we got upgraded to but I was expecting a sizable suite. Instead I got a small room with a street view. The bell hopper to took our luggage to our room gave us a brief tour of the room and pointed out all of the amenities. This service was new to me but I thought that it was nice. It was a great welcome for sure. He then said that they gave us a nice room and asked if we liked it. Of course I said yes! After settling in I found that the room was very charming and I liked the modern design as well. I started to warm up to the small room. The toilet was in a separate room (I always prefer that for obvious reasons) and the door was very sleek, which blended into the surrounding wall. The "window" from the bathroom sink was cool as it was all glass, which gave the room a more "open" feel than if it were to be a concealed wall. They also provided a GIGANTIC vanity mirror with super bright light which I absolutely loveeee! I want to buy one to use at home now! Most hotel lighting are TERRIBLE for us ladies to put on makeup as it's usually in a yellow hue, giving our faces a completely off color! I never knew whether my made up face would look ghastly in natural lighting once I leave my hotel room or not. That's always been one of my fears as a (vain) woman. But no, this light is great! Too great as I can actually see my flaws in what looks like HD (crying emoji!). The seating area by the window is also very cute. Definitely something I haven't had in a hotel room before. Unfortunately I didn't have great weather while visiting Paris otherwise I'd be sitting there soaking up the sun every morning! My only gripe is the 2 wooden stumps used as nightstands. They are literally wood stumps, which would be fine if they had been bigger. It was enough for me to fit my ipad and a small bottle of lotion on. I had to stack my iphone on top which was a little dangerous as it could've been knocked off easily. Apparently the restaurant downstairs is a Michelin rate restaurant, which sadly I didn't have time to try. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this particular hotel. read more

This review literally deserves 0 stars. DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR STUFF, LIE ABOUT IT AND TRY TO COVER IT. My family came in a big group and stayed for two nights. One room of ours had to be switched last minute, after the first night which we found weird because why would give someone else a room after it was already reserved in the MIDDLE OF OUR STAY?! They told us housekeeping would move our stuff but we found that sketchy so we put our stuff in another family members room that didn't asked to be switched (yes, other family members had to switch their room too) and later that day, we tried entering our second room and heard someone in it and complained about it and when we came back, obviously no one was in there. My other family members said they also heard rustling before entering their room and their room had a connecting room; usually with a connecting room, the other door is locked but your door would be unlocked but both of those doors were locked. The day after, a guy who worked at the hotel was focusing on us while we were packing and one of them snatched one of our backpacks and ran with it. There was very important/expensive stuff in there like a passport, airpods, wallet, perfume etc. We asked the lobby for videos but they didn't want to show us or send it to the police after they said they saw someone stole it on the camera and admitted it was a worker. There are other details especially about the stolen backpack but this hotel 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND BECAUSE THEY RUNNING A WHOLE HEIST ON THEIR GUESTS. read more

Great stay so far. As a Marriott elite member, they greeted us with some caramels. Also, for my husband's bday, the staff acknowledged it nicely. Location is a little farther from the Marais than I would have liked. 15 -20 minute walk. Normally I like to stay in the heart of where things are happening. Truly though, like all in the Renaissance brand, this hotel is really cool. Modern amenities and beautiful creative design and decorating. Also really close to the Republique metro station! Like right out the front door. Concierge was very helpful in arranging tours for us. Also got us back to the airport via taxi without problems. read more

What an amazing hotel! I had a great experience here. First of all is an excellent location! The staff was very welcoming and helpful; Marriott had messed my reservation up but the manager (I think he was the manager) Julien found a way to accommodate. I would point out that if you plan to have your breakfast at the hotel you should come with plenty of time because the service is really quite slow (around an hour for breakfast), but the food was good. This was my first time at this hotel and when I return to Paris I will certainly stay here. read more

Amazing location within the La Marais neighborhood. Convenient to the metro and within walking distance to so many great restaurants, shopping and cafes. The staff is really great. Very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are nicely designed and have great views of Paris! read more

NEW. MODERN. GORGEOUS. I am so so so happy that I found this hotel for my stay in Paris. I checked into the Renaissance on day 11 of my 13 day holiday in France and Switzerland. Needless to say, I was tired, missing conveniences of home, and ready for a great experience. I got just that...and more. Although my room wasn't ready when I arrived in the morning (understandably as check in is in the p.m.) they let me know that I would receive an upgraded room (per my Gold status). Yay! They took my cell in order to text me when the room was ready. The rooms are gorgeous, starting with wood and tile floors throughout, along with ample mirrors and plug ins everywhere! The sink and shower area have a glass perimeter allowing you to view the tv from within, or pull a shade if needed with multiple people in a room. This feature is nice as it feels more open in a small'ish hotel room. The shower has a shelf for your products! Yep, a shelf in France, it does exist! Also, the shower has two shower heads, the hand held as well as a great ceiling rainshower. The toilet is conveniently in a separate room, which is especially nice when traveling with others. The beds are very comfortable with ample fluffy pillows, and you are provided a super soft robe and slippers to enjoy while you stay. There is a wall with a closet, a safe, and a minibar area to use as you like. Perhaps the cutest room feature is the window cubby with a padded seat....allowing you to chill while you gaze out at the city! And last but certainly not least is the overlapping blackout shades. FINALLY, a hotel designer realized that when the shades meet together, sun shines through the cracks. Not here! Their blinds overlap by about a foot so you have a perfectly dark room to sleep in peacefully! Please spread this love to all hotels! In addition to the excellent, well designed, and clean rooms is the rest of the hotel. There is a beautiful bar and restaurant on the main level. Everyone is pleasant, warm and helpful. I dined for breakfast in the restaurant and it was excellent. It has all the french flair with the conveniences of home (eggs multiple ways, brewed coffee, etc.). There is a spa and gym on the lower level. I didn't use either but both looked very nice. My overall experience was fabulous. Great service, beautiful room, and great food. I highly recommend staying at the Renaissance Republique Hotel on your next visit to Paris! read more

I was arriving in Paris a day before my sister, so I decided to spend some of my hard-earned Marriott Rewards points for a one-night stay in nicer Marriott-chain hotel. After some thorough research, I reserved a "Paris Style" room at the Renaissance Republique. The next day, I was surprised by an email from the hotel's hospitality team, asking about some details about my trip and whether they could help in anyway. I replied back about early check-in and transportation options from the airport to the hotel. I was notified that early check-in was not guaranteed and was given a list of transportation options, ranging from private car to how to take the metro from the airport to the hotel. Great start to their service so far. Upon arriving at the hotel (after taking the Metro), I was greeted by the friendly front desk receptionists (Marinah and another whose names escapes me) and was offered a refreshing glass of cucumber water as I was checking in. Thankfully I was able to do an early check-in since I had arrived before noon. I was also upgraded to a "Bobo" room, thanks to my Platinum Elite reward level. Since the hotel did not have a lounge, I received a breakfast voucher. I was also given a choice of "treats," delivered to my room (I chose beer and ice cream :D). I was shown up to my room by the receptionist and given a run through of the amenities. The room was comfortable and cozy. All the fixtures in the room were new and modern. The rain shower was great. It was smaller than the typical room in the US but in no way did it feel too small. After taking a short breather and getting refreshed, I head out to town to fight the jetlag. Upon returning to my room in the afternoon, I found a handwritten note, as well as a small box of pastries, waiting for me on my desk. The next morning, I went downstairs for breakfast. The complimentary breakfast included 5 items, all of which were delicious and filling. Check-out was quick and they offered to call a ride, which I declined since I was only traveling a short distance to my where I was going. One thing to note was that I was charged for the room by mistake (thankfully the hospitality was able to make the correction). Overall, I recommend staying at the Renaissance Republique. It is a luxury hotel so it is more expensive than other hotels but the service was amazing. I look forward to staying there again in the future. read more

This hotel is great! It is brand new, (it even smells new) so everything is in great condition. The hotel staff could not be any greater, they were all so helpful and friendly (offering tips on planning travel, discount tickets, restaurant recommendations- anything you needed they could do). They also all speak a variety of languages so there was no issues communicating. They make you feel very special and welcomed upon arriving The rooms were beautiful, but a little small, but the layout was perfect for what we needed. The bed was huge and comfy. There is a toilet area and then a sink/shower area- which makes 2 people getting ready a little easier. They have rainfall showers which made me feel very swanky and the soaps, lotions and shampoos were also very good quality. The location of this hotel is amazing and cannot be beat- there are a ton of restaurants and bars near by and it is easy to get around (cabs, metro or Uber). All in all, this was a wonderful stay! read more

Stayed for 4 nights and will definitely be coming back. The staff is super friendly and surprisingly kid friendly with a couple old school wooden toys in the lobby to occupy the kids while waiting for taxis. Although kids are not allowed in the hot tub...The concierge was so incredibly helpful for dining reservations and tour reservations, including calling to reschedule a tour that we were late for. Location is great with many great restaurants within walking distance and just a short 10 euro ride to most tourist attractions in Paris. Rooms are very small but consistent with European style. The complimentary breakfast in the dining room for Platinum Elites was exemplary with lots of options. read more

Great location and brand new! This hotel just open, it smell brand new, the breakfast is excellent, it's close to everything, lots of very good restaurant within 5 min. Gym, spa, reception all spoke English and were very helpful. I'm sure within 1 year they will raise there rates... read more

I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and I must say that my experience here has been first class. The staff is friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel is stunning and the area around the hotel is vibrant and exciting. I will recommend it to all of my friends that are visiting Paris. read more
