I dreaded the whole experience when we knew it was time for child to wear braces. FIRST PHASE: Determining the best fit. I was thoroughly impressed on our initial consultation two years ago. We met with both doctors, almost the entire staff. Love love the entire staff. SECOND & SUBSEQUENT PHASES: Office visits. Over this two year time span, the entire staff has remained consistently courteous, and genuinely kind. The staff is also extremely talented and their required skill sets surpass your expectations. The quality of care they provide your child brings a parent, like me, great mental peace. ‼ After several visits they allow your teenager to go in alone, into a wide open area and after the visit they call in the parent to discuss the assessment, their findings along with next steps. ADDED BONUS: They also offer token chips to the children as merits for certain tasks; one being for your child to wear a shirt with their logo. I love that because 1) helps your child grow into responsibility & they become more aware and also, 2) mentally prepares them for the visit, setting their expectations while removing any mental anguis/anxiety they may have. Definitely a win win. Should you determine your child needs braces, this married couple's office is definitely an orthodontist your child deserves. read more

Wow .... That's how I will begin this review. This office is beautiful. Lots of parking. Beautiful entry. Greeted immediately. I could seriously go on and on. And then.... I met the Dr.Rendon. She was so welcoming, I literally felt she wanted to hug me, ( this darn C19). I'm ready to hug again!!! Her smile through her mask was so welcoming, the customer service of the staff, I mean...I was happy Dr. Franco sent his gratitude. So happy to network and connect with grade A businesses. I am beyond satisfied with the overall professionalism and quality of work done in this office. My braces journey began just under two years ago. That may sound long but I did not have an ordinary case, quite the opposite really. My teeth were very spaced and crooked. I'm over 40 and had spent most of my life wanting to change my smile. I thought I had waited too many years to correct my misaligned teeth.   The staff at Rendon Orthodontics put patients first. Dr. Castano-Rendon's chairside manner is fantastic and all of her employees are warm, engaging, and professional.  She was proactive in working with my regular dentist with regards to other cosmetic work I needed. My initial consultation was thorough. I was given very complete, in-depth information about my options with a straightforward recommendation that made my decision to go with them an easy one. Dr. Castano-Rendon also offered me financial choices and payment options to accommodate my budget. Scheduling my follow up appointments was always easy which is important to me because I travel for work. Appointments were on-time, smooth, and efficient. So much so, that I don't remember what amenities are in the waiting area. Her staff is an amazing well-oiled machine! My 1.5 year treatment was recently completed and my bite feels much better. The modern techniques she uses are much more comfortable than I imagined they would be. Dr. Castano-Rendon did more than change my smile. Dr Rendon and her team are amazing. They are a true work family. You can tell they love their workplace, their profession, and their patients. The office is very clean and inviting. The office hours and appointment times are convenient. Wait times are minimal if at all. My husband and I consulted Dr Rendon regarding our son's treatment plan when he was just 7 years old. Dr Rendon had a vision and she divised a personalized, calculated, and conservative treatment plan for our son. I remember her asking us to trust her time frame, and her plan. Money was never her priority, as she never offered unnecessary treatments, even discouraged treatment she deemed unnecessary. The result is, our son has a perfect smile, and we didn't break the bank. It's a win win!! I'm so grateful to Dr Rendon and her amazing staff! They're THE BEST AROUND!!!! read more

I can't speak to the quality of Dr. Rendon's work because I chose to hire another Doctor. The reasons I chose not to hire Dr. Rendon is why I am writing this review. I think other potential patients need to be made aware of this clinic's questionable new patient process. Before scheduling an appointment for initial exam - my husband and I placed a phone call to get details about the process, costs and any pre treatment requirements. Everything was straight forward but we were surprised to hear that a dental endorsement would not be needed as long as Dr. Rendon did not identify any required dental work during her examination. My husband & I pushed back on this but were given reassurances it would not be necessary. I went in to have the exam completed and was told my teeth were in good condition, no cavities identified. During the consultation, we informed Dr. Rendon that I had just visited a dentist who informed me I needed 6 surface cavities filled so we were surprised to hear her say she couldn't see any. Additionally, Dr. Rendon told us we would need clearance from the dentist before she could begin treatment and that this is standard procedure with all new patients. Regardless of us being told about the 6 surface cavities (which turned out to be only 2 as explained in my review on Arte Dental). This made us very uncomfortable because it was completely opposite to what Lisa had told us over the phone. We felt we were being told what we wanted to hear (by Lisa) to just get us in the door. After Dr. Rendon left the room - Lisa went on to explain that she would contact Dr. Arte's office for clearance & it would be entirely up to them if I could advance to braces. A day later I got a call from Lisa stating that Dr. Arte had refused clearance. I called Dr. Arte's office to find out why. My husband and I spoke with Carol who denied Lisa's claim and stated that I could advance since all but one cavity could be repaired later. (& that we could get tooth #31 repaired prior to braces if needed). At this point - we decided we better find a new Ortho because if we can't trust them now we can't trust them period . Lisa, after all, is apparently in charge of the pricing and billing. Who knows how many times she would change up her story on that...?! Bottom line - a 3 year Dr. / patient relationship requires trust. Lisa blew it. P.S. I am happy to report I am working with another Doctor & have already had my 2nd adjustment. I will be reviewing them next. read more

I loved visiting Dr. Rendon. Him and his staff were so wonderful and always welcoming. Everything with them was so perfect and smooth. I loved coming in, Dr. Rendon was very soft when it came to my teeth. He always made sure I did not feel any pain while he replaced wires in my brackets. Even when they couldn't see me in time, they would refer me to their other office in Frisco, which was just as great. His wife is also an orthodontist in Frisco and she was amazing. I am very very happy I chose Dr. Rendon. I would do it all over again just because of their lovely staff and the attention I received there! read more

Dr. Maria Castano-Rendon is great! Very informative and patient. Her and the staff provide details on how things are progressing. The office hours were very suitable for us and they always accommodated when we had to reschedule. The best part to me was the initial process when we were provided options and how to go about repairing my son's smile and then the end when they showed us the before and after pics. AMAZING!!!
