One time years ago, she tried to discourage me from "spending so much money" but I had found so many wonderful out of print fabrics as well as some gorgeous Japanese florals, so I was happy to spend. Like she doesn't give two scraps about customers entering her shop. Happily helped obvious repeat customers, but couldn't care less to help me. I went back again, hoping maybe it was just an off day for her. Nope. And after reading the negative reviews, it makes me feel better. I was honestly so taken aback by how curt and rude the owner was. I've been quilting for over 30 years and never in my life have I experienced such an awful quilt shop owner. If you've never been, save yourself and don't bother. The owner doesnt care about you or your business. She obviously has her regular clientele and doesn't care about adding more.

The selection of fabric is a little lacking for me and while they have the biggest selection of…read moresashiko items I've seen, it's very expensive. The whole store is pretty expensive really. Also, the front desk doubles as the fabric cutting station, so that can jam things up. There was one woman in front of me and she was already part way through her transaction when I got in line. It took 20 minutes for them to finish. It didn't appear to be an issue of anything other than that there was fabric to cut and the two were chatting. However, quite frankly, were it not for the fact that I drove a hour to this store specifically for the sashiko items, I would have left. By the time they were done, five more people were in line. I don't think they were used to that level of traffic, so I didn't want to put lower than three stars, especially since I accidentally left my card there and the staff emailed me and got it back to me. The staff are really very nice, I just think they aren't used to more than a few customers at a time. That being said, I'm not in a rush to get back here because my overall experience was poor. I guess the best way to put this is, look at the 3 stars as this place has potential. Hopefully they can learn to juggle customers better. Because they have some unique offerings. I think if they can widen their selection of fabric and work on getting through customers faster during high traffic times, they could really be a delightful store.

I'd go elsewhere…read more I had Mister T's make some trophies for the recreational soccer team I coached a few years back, and they did a good job and the price was reasonable. So I went back to have 2 baseball hats made for baseball season, since I'd be coaching a Little League team for La Conner again. I asked if they had the traditional 'Block' Lettering Logo for LC, like you see everywhere - San Diego Padres, SF Giants, LA Dodgers, etc. They didn't, but "they could set that up", they assured me. I was clear I wanted a block L bisecting a block C, and I even drew a picture just to be clear. I paid more than $40 for 2 hats (I realized there would be an embroidery set up fee), but the hats I received were bad. The C wasn't really a block letter, and the lower part of the L was lower than it should have been. We had a game the next day, so I paid and left with the hats. I never wore the hat after those l 14 or 16 baseball games. (I gave 1 to our Asst Coach.) But I was never happy about those hats. I expected more. Then my wife found it in the garage the other day. Ugh. I can't stand this hat. So, for trophies, I think Mister T's does a great job. And if they already have an embroidery pattern they can show you that they've used dozens of times before, that's probably OK as well. But I can't recommend any custom embroidery from them.

The proprietors were kind and didn't hover. A nice hello and welcome and they left me free to wander their time my little business. They might be tiny but they have a surprisingly diverse offering of bites and they even have a small offering of tea leaves. The only blooms I saw was one small refrigerator cabinet with some live flowers. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed stopping in!
