I had a frustrating experience with the billing department at Reno Radiological Associates. After receiving an X-ray bill from the day I gave birth, I set up an autopay payment plan for $25/month. The payments processed correctly for five months and then suddenly stopped due to an issue on their end. I never noticed because it was on autopay but since the payments stopped, I started receiving past-due and collection notices even though I had set up autopay specifically to avoid this situation. When I called, they confirmed something happened with the account on their side but still expected me to immediately pay the remaining balance. I continued paying my agreed monthly amount, yet I still received a notice saying I defaulted on the payment plan. The balance itself was small, but the billing process and communication were frustrating and disappointing. Patients shouldn't have to deal with collection warnings because of internal billing errors. read more

If I could give this billing facility that Renown uses a negative rating I would!!! My insurance company never received a bill or invoice for the date of service. Do not expect Reno radiological associated to reach out and call your insurance company to collect payment or resolve the issue. If you ask for an itemized bill with diagnosis codes and the providers ID they can only send it to you through mail and not email. This company is awful to work with and you will get no where!!! IT IS YOUR JOB TO DO THE WORK FOR THEM!! Best recommendation is to AVOID THEM AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!!! read more

I​I went into this facility to have an ultrasound for a condition. Quick sidenote. As a single male (no kids or marriage) I am getting used to these specific offices being primarily for maternal patiences care. Now that I know this it was very nicely appointed and looked comfortable if you had wait for any amount of time. As for my procedure, I was checked in with no wait and before I could say " that was fast" I was having the procedure in a room that was clean and ready to go to work. The only thing I would caution is that unless you have been there before call ahead of your appt time and have them describe where the office is located or if they can meet you at the door when you arrive if you call upon parking on site. Oh yeah, the technician was as usual perfect in deninor and application of procedure. Good luck and good health. read more

The ultrasound tech was very rushed while doing my ultrasound. It was for pregnancy and it was abdominal ultrasound. She quickly took photos and was done. Being as this was to make sure everything was ok and to check how far along i was, i was unimpressed with how little care or patience she had. She wasn't rude, just rushed, so made me feel like i was cattle being pushed aside. Maybe she was set to go to lunch or something but the office was nearly empty so im finding it hard to believe there were others she needed to see but i could be wrong. Not good. Reno Radiological Associates has several times violated Federal laws and it's contracts with Tri-West. As a Veteran, all my health care coverage is with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA occasionally sends me outside the VA for my healthcare. VA does that through a third-party service known as Tri-West. VA and Tri-West have a contract. Per Federal law, I have NO contract with Tri-West. The outside the VA healthcare providers enter into contract with Tri-West. Per Federal law, I have NO contract with outside the VA healthcare providers who have entered into contact with Tr-West. Federal law prohibits outside VA healthcare providers who have Tri-West contracts from directly billing Veterans or demanding any financial information of any sort, including but not limited to, Social Security number, or address, from Veterans. The only item outside VA healthcare providers who have Tri-West contracts can legally obtain from Veterans is a copy of the Veterans VA healthcare id. Yet, Reno Radiological Associates routinely violates Federal law by directly billing Veterans and illegally demanding financial information, including but not limited to, Veterans' Social Security numbers, Veteran's Medicare or Medicaid cards and Veterans addresses, from Veterans. Reno Radiological Associates violated Federal law when it directly billed me. To add further insult to unlawful injury to me, Reno Radiological Associates billed me for SIX TIMES THE LAWFUL BILL to Tri-West. The fact that Reno Radiological Associates has failed to claim itself on Yelp screams to the public that Reno Radiological Associates doesn't care one bit what the public thinks of it. When we called Reno Radiological Associates, a supervisor told us they know the rules they had agreed to under their contract with Tri-West and Federal law but had no explanation for why they keep breaking the rules they had agreed to under their contract with Tri-West and Federal law. It was "oh, well" from Reno Radiological Associates. You betcha that we will also be putting in a complaint with BBB because Reno Radiological Associates' word is no good and Reno Radiological Associates screw-over Veterans. Reno Radiological Associates clearly contributes to why so many Veterans succumb to suicide. read more

If Could I would give their billing dept 0 stars.I keep receiving bills via email and snail mail stating I owe a bill from 7 mos ago. I have contacted them each time to kindly ask them to bill my secondary insurance. They have my secondary insurance company info printed on the statement so they have that yet the activity on my account shows they have never billed them. Every time I call I have speak with someone who can barely speak or understand English. Very inefficient using off shore companies that are incapable of doing the work, not to mention torture to then patients who have to speak to them....Good luck, I am not paying the bill!!!! read more

Their billing service has to be the absolute worst. Every other time in the last 50 years the hospital has given the insurance info to the separately billed doctors. It's not changed in forever but somehow reno radiological gets my name, date of birth, can read my mammograms but doesn't get the insurance info? ??? Strike 1. Strike 2 I mail the billing dept a copy of the front and back of my insurance card so they have the info. Strike 3 I call them and they tell me they don't take mail copies of my card so I give them the info over the phone. Strike 4 the person who took info did it wrong and over a year later still getting bills. Had to call again and do this again. Complete systemic breakdown of their processes Avoid if possible! Got a surprise final notice bill in the mail, no previous bills received in the past month to rectify a final notice. Upon reviewing the itemized statement, Reno Radiological Associates is billing me for two claims that have been zeroed out through my insurance for weeks now. I have two open claims through them, that I actually owe money on, but have not received any bill in the mail showing where to pay it. I see what they're doing: send the final notice on two closed claims in hopes I pay it, then a few weeks later I'll get another final notice on the other two claims that I actually owe them money on. They pocket change on every single claim this way. Under the No Surprises Billing Act, balance billing is a BIG no no. Sketchy practices. I will be calling insurance ASAP and reporting this place as well if they don't fix it. I also just noticed that their statement date was a MONTH LATER from when they actually mailed it out. Their statement shows 11/29 and the letter was not scanned through Informed Delivery until 12/24! And they used First Class postage so we all know you receive letters within 1-5 business days. read more

They're literally the worst. I wish we never had to deal with them. My husband was scheduled to go in for a minor procedure. He had done all types of x rays and exams. On the day of the procedure, he received the anesthesia, but then the doctor said he couldn't do the procedure because the tool couldn't reach the area that needed to be worked on. Frustrating, but okay. We had already gone through time off approvals for work, and did necessary insurance prep. Now the insurance needed to get my husband cleared to get to work. This was the absolute worst!!! We haven't been able to get in touch with anyone that can help us get this done. The main line that they give for customer service just loops and then hangs up. When I am able to get through to someone, somehow nobody knows who would be responsible. This is so annoying. All for a procedure that didn't get completed in its entirety. If you can, go elsewhere. I was quoted $110.00 flat rate for a CT-Cardiac Scoring and told I had to pay up front since it is not covered by insurance. I paid the $110.00 prior to going in for my test. I am continuing to be billed an additional $99.32 for the radiologist. I have called several times to get this resolved. I keep getting a different story. I been told they "launched an investigation" yet no one gets back to me. (3 months ) Save yourself the hassle and go to Reno Diagnostic instead. My husband had the same test for $99.00. They were all so efficient. No hassles there . I'm just getting a run around for three months now trying to resolve this issue read more

My service/claim has been denied by Medicare simply because the name on the bill submitted by RRA does not match my Medicare/Supplement. My insurance includes my middle initial and the bill does NOT. I've tried calling and emailing but they still are processing a denied claim bill. There is no other reason; my procedure is a covered service. have had it done/billed to Medicare in the past. read more

Billing issue. My husband passed away in March and I am his surviving spouse. They won't talk to me or Hospice about a bill and they say they need a copy of Power of Attorney and a copy of Death Certificate, which I faxed to them even though I don't understand why. I don't want information about the bill as I have a copy of it, I'm trying to tell them to use a code from Hospice when they bill Medicare and it will get paid. Just waiting now to see what else they may require. Just put the dang code with your billing and it gets paid!!! If there was a rating less than 1 star I would use it. read more

Anyhow, do yourself a favor and avoid this company. Your business - or lack of - speaks volumes and shows RRA they don't even deserve a 1 star review. But if you like reviews, read the other ones here and on google; you'll soon see that RRA is pathetic. Just think about it - I took precious time out of my day to go out of my way to make a negative review about this place, that's how mad I am about their business. I'd put zero if I could! This establishment stated they sent us a bill in May and a letter in June of 2019. We NEVER received a bill or letter. We never were aware that we even owed them money for a service on 4/22/19. Today, June 30, 2020 we received a bill from a collection agency for said account receivable. It did absolutely no good talking to a rep from Reno Radiological Associates since they had already written off our account. Asked to talk to someone else to complain and that didn't happen either since she was at a call center! No one to complain to about their accounting department. I hope we will never have to work with this incompetent company again! I've seen several other people complain about this same scenario. I will write to them to voice my concern as well. read more

Billing issue. Could never imagine an accounts receivable department could be so unreasonable. They would not work with hospice or a spouse. They require you to jump through hoops. They required a power of attorney and a death certificate and it is still not resolved! read more
