When I arrived at the counter the agent was extremely rude. Greeted me by saying "What do you want?" I showed her my reservation (usually the keys are already pulled and waiting)... she shouted "Well I don't know what you want me to do! I don't have any cars... they're all dirty" I said "Oh... Well how long does it take to get one clean?" She replied "Well even if I had a clean one I have 15 other reservations... and they would come before you anyway" I ended up leaving the airport and renting elsewhere. Worst customer service ever. I had recently rented a car through an insurance claim with State farm. I was recommended the extra…read moreinsurance through Hertz by the local agent to cover my rental. She strongly suggested that I get the full insurance during my rental. After I returned the rental, I get billed 737.32 for the additional insurance. Insurance that was not needed since state farms coverage extended to my rental vehicle. Essentially I was sold a service that I clearly did not need and I am very dissatisfied with the honesty of the local Hertz agent. If she advised me that my State farm policy would have covered the rental insurance I would not have purchased additional insurance at such a great cost. Word to the wise read and ask questions before you leave the store...

I had two employees stranded when a company vehicle broke down. They had a company card, and the…read moreBudget Agents stated they would be able to rent the car with the corporate credit card if I booked online. I had a follow up question so I contacted Budget again and they stated they would not be able to rent with the corporate card and we disconnected the call. I called a third time to attempt to speak with a supervisor and had to fight to get a supervisor on the phone. The supervisor was, unfortunately, worse than the conflicting agents I spoke with. He didn't understand my issue and wanted to argue with me about the reason I was calling. I called them trash, and hung up - found a local rental company that was sympathetic and understanding to our situation. If you're having issues - I highly suggest looking at local rental car companies in Laredo - Budget remains absolute trash.
