I have had mixed feelings about this place. We recently rented a ditch "witch" from The Rental Stop and had some issues but they were willing to make it right. We picked the equipment up at opening and drove out to our land about 45 minutes away. We got going and the equipment worked great, although much slower than I expected. Once we got almost done is when we started experiencing problems with the hydraulics and so it was slightly frustrating. Of course I tried to be the helpful wife and give the husband a break from "ditch witching" and it dies with the digger thing inside the ground. He is pissed and throwing all kinds of obsceneties around and throwing things around....well about 45 minutes later we get off the phone with the staff here at Rental Stop and they were going to send someone out to see what was wrong and I dont know, bring another machine.....but they called back and apparently there is a sensor that is very sensitive. So they talked the husband through how to start it up again and he got it going without them coming out to us. Of course once one thing starts going wrong everything starts going wrong, and then the machine stopped backing up and we were basically sitting still.....Luckily we rented the machine for two days and finished our project. The first experience we had at this location was not ideal because the staff werent on the same page and my husband was qouted different times that things could be returned without further charges. read more

BEWARE! I rented bingo supplies for a professional bingo fundraiser. It should've included a large master board, ping-pong, size, bingo balls, and a cage. When I picked it up, the "professional " bingo balls were handwritten with marker and the master board was tiny and would only hold balls the size of marbles so the balls were all rolling off on to the floor. We had to run out to buy 6 dozen eggs so we could use egg crates in place of the tiny master board. They literally could have ruined our entire event and cost us money. We submitted a rental order for Halloween weekend, order was over $1,000. My company does multiple events a year and I really wanted to partner with a good place for all our monthly events, I can tell you it won't be this place. After 100% chance of storms I call 48 hours in advance and after being told it would be $100 cancelation fee it was 50%. They lost a big customer. I even tried to reschedule so that we would lose all that money and they wouldn't even do that. read more

They rent equipment that does not work! Ryan "a manager", was not even capable of apologizing or doing any sort of gesture. Instead, they say they didn't charge extra. If I would have been given equipment that worked, it wouldn't have taken longer than what I rented for. Terrible experience! We used Rental Stop for our Company event on 12/13/18 The service we received when we wanted to modify our order to move our event from outside to inside due to inclement weather was poor. We no longer needed a tent and had prepaid over $2500. We requested for a reimbursement of the items that we no longer required since we moved our event indoors. Unfortunately, the company stated they had a 100% cancellation fee policy in effect since we removed items off our order. The cost of tables and chairs was under $800 however, this company kept the full cost of the original contract prepayment. WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! read more

I thought long and hard about posting this review, But I think it needs to be posted. I've used them before and there's always some kind of a problem even if it's minor. I rented two red table cloths. When I called and spoke to a lady she had to call me three times just to try to figure out the dimensions on what I actually needed. The cost was about $20 for two they didn't match the colors were off but I took them anyways. After getting to the event I opened them to see that they were the wrong size! I immediately called rental stop and told them it was the wrong size and the lady said I'm sorry but we don't have any in stock. I proceeded to tell her I will be bringing them back I cannot leave the event. I sent one of my assistants to go purchase two plastic table cloths for our event since I didn't have the right size. I took the table cloths back the following day and told them I did not use them, they're still in the plastic and they said I'm sorry we still have to charge you. I therefore talked to a manager and he said he would have to listen to the conversations to make sure that the request was made correctly. It took about 45 minutes with phone calls back-and-forth he never called me back all this for $20.39. I will never use this company again, I don't recommend this company! Their lack of professionalism is beyond me. This company lacks the ability to perform good customer service, and retain business. Why such a long review?because it's important for a consumer to use businesses that we can rely on and continue to use them, that is good business! After reviewing some of the post I am not the only one that feels this way they are not going to try to make it better at that business, And therefore we will use another major company and take my business elsewhere. I had rented from this establishment once before last year and had no problem, but upon renting 2 children's tables and 12 chairs over this past weekend, I will NEVER use this place again. I called twice during the week and spoke to Leslie about renting these items but I was not sure until Saturday morning that I actually wanted to order from them. I spoke to a rep one last time Sat morn and finalized a quote and send my husband to their location while I was busy working to pick up 2 childrens tables and 12 white childrens folding chairs. I got home very last Sat eve from work and the items were still in our SUV so that the children would not see them which were going to be used during a surprise princess party the next day (Sunday/yesterday). So Sunday morning I began cleaning house and went to the trunk to unload the items and to my surprise and DISMAY, I found that all the little folding chairs were BLUE AND NOT WHITE AS ORDERED AND AS STATED ON MY INVOICE!!! At this point I am mortified as my whole house had been decorated PINK AND PURPLE for the princess party theme down to the table cloths and the BLUE presented a HUGE TACKY CLASH! My husband told me that he had no idea they didn't give him the correct chairs, no one informed him there was a shortage or would be a change in what I had ordered. Next, upon setting the tables up, they were uneven. One was 22" and one was 26" high. On their website, they specify that the 48" round children's tables are 20" high which would match the chair height perfectly, but in actuality they are NOT! The chairs did not sit at a proper length for the children to comfortably enjoy. Both of the tables even had 1 leg that was missing a protective cap which scratched my living room floor. Rental Stop was closed on Sunday, but I emailed Leslie all my concerns before the party that morning and she responded in the afternoon that she would investigate it once they reopened on Monday (today). At 9:15 I did not hear from Leslie although she told me previously that she comes in at 8, I called and asked to speak with a manager. George Nash was the manager that I spoke with and by his tone, attitude, and refusal to truly receive my consumer concerns, I can honestly say that HE IS NOT ONE THAT CARES ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR THE ACCURACY OF AN ORDER. He hung up on me before our conversation was complete and he stuck to the notion that his employee SAID that they informed my husband at pick up that there was only 1 white chair left in the warehouse and only blue could fulfill our order and that my husband OKAY'D it. My husband told me for sure that he did no such thing, but George refuted my statements and backed his employee that "wrote it down that my husband okayed the change", yet the invoice still reflected 12 white chairs were rented, which was also inaccurate. I did not received the value for the money I paid, their care for consumers is shockingly low and their manager could give a flip less about customer satisfaction. I will gladly take my business elsewhere and avoid sloppy, shabby and dishonest business practices in the future. George said that he would email their district manager (Jim Cornelius) about adjusting my payment for a partial refund on the tables, but he wouldn't do anything on the chairs because of his employee's "word". Terrible customer service. We rented a skid steer loader. It began to rain and it would get stuck in the mud so we weren't able to use it and get out job done. We went to tell the employees there and they said we should've called once it started raining. We didn't get our job done and we were still charged for all day rental. What irritates me the most is that they charged me for all day when In all honesty I wasn't able to use it because of the rain and when I let them know, they didn't take matters into thought and still charged me for all day rental. Not even a discount or anything. I am disappointed in the customer service they had. I just wasted money on something I didn't even use because of weather issues. Very much disappointed. read more

I have rented through rental stop many times and have referred countless other people to this company. Never in my life would I havw thought i would be making a negative review! But my last experience was disheartening. I ordered pipe and drape for an Expo I was working on. While setting up my pipe and drape at my event I noticed that there were a few poles and bases missing so I called them right away. It says to notify them immediately if something is wrong on your receipt. I explained the situation and they didnt have the staff available to bring me the pipes needed for this setup. Which that part I can understand. I just made a request to get a refund for the pipe and drape I was unable to use. So they had their customer service give me a call. I explained the situation and right from the jump he was argumentative and said that I requested one thing but when their agent repeated it back to me she said the word "Run" which apparently means a row with out dividing poles. I explained how I dont know how their systems work I just know what i requested and if your sales person repeated it different than my request I wouldn't know she changed the request because I dont work for your company. He kept making a reference to having a recording so I asked him to send me a copy so I could hear it. He said he was going to send it but still wouldn't be able to get a refund of the unused pipe and drape. Needless to say he never sent the recording, doesnt reply back to my emails and is no longer available to take my calls. I definitely feel this was an avoidable situation and a fixable situation. Just finished a conversation with George Nash who wanted me to take down our post, once our funds for an additional dance floor (that was not ordered, but installed anyway, by his employees, to cover their mistake) were refunded back to our account. He assumed that his apology 3 days after the event should be enough. His employees basically bullied my cousin into upgrading to a floor instead of them installing properly the floor that was ordered. I don't want this to happen to the next person who orders a dance floor from them. Just because you refunded the funds, Mr. Nash, do you really think we are to forget about this experience? No sir, the aggravation of that day and the funds being drafted out is enough to keep this post up. Once again it sounds like you like to bully, by expressing to me that we made a deal that once the funds were returned, I would take down the post. I of course would have said, Yes, if that was going to be the only way to get my funds returned......so if I said No, would you have returned the funds that were inappropriately charged? read more

The Rental Stop Karaoke company is not a company I would recommend to other as a source for a karaoke party. 1. The music and words were not synchronized. 2. Karaoke equipment was obsolete. 3. The music needs to be ypdated 4. Communication between Client and Rental Stop was extremely poor. Blamed Clint for this misunderstanding of equipment delivery and took NO responsibility for the situation that occurred. 6. Rental Stop actually hostile toward the clint, which should not happen. I rented a wheelchair at this location for Saturday 10/27/2018. They ask for a specific pick up time and I gave them 1:00pm. I arrived at around 2:00 and my wheelchair was not ready for me to pick up. Several employees had to look for it and none of them could find it. I waited 30 minutes and still no wheelchair. I asked for a refund because it was ridiculous that nobody could find a regular wheelchair. I think that the manger needs to train his employees on customer service .What was the point of a pick up time if they did not have my chair ready . This place is very disorganized. Great Price! Great Service! After calling around to several rental places, Rental Stop not only had great customer service, but they were 1/3 of the price another place quoted me and considerably cheaper than another rental place. They were very courteous in taking my order and had great follow-up. The driver who delivered the tent called the morning of the delivery to let me know what time they would be there and they were very efficient putting up the tent - they even gave me a rose! I would rent from them again. I had a small backyard party and rented two tables and 20 chairs from Rental Stop. The people who work there are very friendly and professional. I am sad to say that this company is not all it's cracked up to be. We rented a cotton candy machine for a fall party last weekend. The machine was broken. (why they didn't test it before they gave it to me I don't know) We had to come back and change out the machine. We were given a hard time and they didn't want to even change it out. They had our person go to another location to pick up a new one. By the time it was all said and done we lost about 4 hours from our event. When I returned the machine on Monday I was told the manager would be calling me to make it right. Well today I get an email. Sorry the machine was tested and it is working fine so we can't help you. (well of course the second machine worked). I will not be renting from this place ever again. I would suggest that if you have a problem don't expect to get customer service. I rented the smallest item I had rented from them this weekend and drove 1 he to job site to find out it was worn out and would not function.So I drove back to get a different one and they didn't have a replacement.I asked for a refund and was only given half of what I paid. I called them a spoke to Leslie and Joe was the guy who told me I would be getting the rest in 3 or do days.They just lied to me so I would leave and since I called and complained they say I now get a store credit. I have spent thousands of dollars renting from them and they would not refund my get this 20.00 dollars back. They have lost my business and I think you should stay away there tools are all old and worn out and they won't refund your money if they dont work. read more

I am an Event Planner here in the metroplex and I had an graduation event at the end of the school year May 26, 2015... I was so excited to order a CottonCandy machine for the party..... I had someone pick the machine up for me at 9 in the morning while i was attending and setting up my event...... When the party was to begin later that day, I went to set the Cottoncandy machine up in it's place..... LOW and BEHOLD , i took a look at the machine and it was Filthy. Disgustingly Dirty....... It was layered with left over crusted Cotton Candy Mix...... It had NASTY webs all in the inside of the machine that was left over from the last customer... I took pictures and called to see if they could bring me another machine, he said no it was to late in the day..... i took the machine down and didnt use it. The next day, i called manager and it was WORSE, he told me I could have still used the machine first off, he also mentioned it was my fault i didnt call sooner than 3 in the afternoon.... He compared my problem to buying a car, saying if I bought a car i would have inspected in before I bought it..... True I said, However, I didnt expect my machine to be FILTHY....... i guess this is their normal practice of treating their customers this way.... I called to resolve again and each person never calls back and DODGES my calls......... Some Business practices Rental Stop!! I have had large parties for years and this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had renting for a party. I rented a mister that came and worked but was old and rusty. That was the good part. We received a margarita machine that was old and not put together right.( Rental stop admitted it wasn't the machine we were supposed to get.) Immediately we lost 1.75 liters of tequila and mix. Because this wasn't the right machine the directions for the machine and how much to liquor etc to put in wasn't even correct. We had a huge mess. They came back and fixed the tank but there was a horrible screeching noise so we called again. A couple of hours later they came back with a new machine and replaced the mix we bought from them that had gone all over the patio.( This was after 4 phone calls as we were trying to get ready for a party.) After the machine and mister were picked up we asked for someone to call us because we felt the amount of $22.00 for the tequila we lost should have been deducted from the $364.00 we were charged. No one called for 3 days so I called and was put on hold for about 10 minutes. They came back and said they had gone the extra mile to get us another machine and had we had to go out and get another machine that day it would have cost us more so they would not reimburse us for the tequilla. Well guess what, what Rental Stop didn't know is that I was afraid they couldn't get us another margarita machine and I had already checked with Margarita Express and it wouldn't have been more. I went with another company that even charged us a little more but gave us a much friendlier service. They appeared to be located close by (in SW Fort Worth) under the business name "Fort Worth Party Rental", however after receiving a quote from "Rental Stop" (same company), I learned that we would have to drive out to Grand Prairie to pick up the rental items or it would be an additional $85 delivery fee. DO NOT EVER USE THIS RENTAL STOP! The absolute worst service from Brian Newsome. They agreed to deliver the rented tables and chairs between 8am-9:30am, the delivery driver showed up at 7am calling over and over, before our event staff was even present, threatening to not deliver unless someone was present at that moment. The tables were in horrible condition, they were definitely not presentable for an company event. We had to get last minute table covers for all of them. The chairs were very unstable and cheap, most of the people chose to stand because some of the chairs were cracked and would pinch your thighs. Lastly, the delivery driver stated he would return between 3-5pm to pick up the tables and chairs. Our event was over at 1:30pm, so we called in to let them know they could come by and pick them up early so our staff could go home for the weekend. Brian Newsome was not available and the first staff member hung up on us, the second took a message after cutting us off saying we needed to only speak to Brian and he was unable to help. When Brian finally called back an hour and fifteen minutes later, he told us he never agreed to pick them up and it would be an additional $100 to pick the items up, when we are less than 10 minutes from their location! We reviewed the formal signed contract that stated it would be $70 for delivery and pickup, at which time Brian Newsome said it was never agreed to. Absolutely ridiculous. It is a black and white, simple contract that clearly states it. We were left in a complete jam with no options and when we offered to just buy the items, we were told it was $30 a chair and $150 a table. These people are insane! Completely horrible service and cheap embarrassing products. As a small business owner, I feel bad that they are even aloud to operate in such a despicable manner.
