Drove 45 mins to see an apartment they posted on Craigslist and when I showed up to their office to see it, the realtors there knew nothing about it. Finally when they found the listing, they called the guy who owned it and he said it's still occupied and won't be ready to see until March. This realtor really looked me in the eyes and asked "would you like to leave a deposit?" without me even knowing if the apartment is real!!! Typical Miami realtors. Sincerely wishing there was a no stars option. Truly the most unprofessional, disappointing, insulting experience. I gave this place a chance because my best friend/roommate had worked with a realtor from here in the past with success. Clearly, this experience was the exact opposite. We began to work with Orlando. From the get go, I was not impressed with his level of work. I don't know where he found the places he showed us the first day, but let me just say it was THE WORST possible apartments I have EVER been shown in the 7 years I have rented. Including one location that had an INFESTATION OF ROACHES when we visited. Cool, not totally his fault right? Let's give him another chance. Now, a couple weeks after FINALLY finding an apartment, we signed a lease and paid a deposit. Great right? No. He seemed either incapable of or did not feel like/want to inquire about our interview with the association of the building. So here we are making all the calls and arrangements. THEN. Today, he informs us that we are unable to move in this week, as previously agreed. Why? Because the current tenant needs to stay five more days. So again, WE have to be the ones to contact the owner of the apartment. He then tells us that WE need to contact his tenants to sort this situation out! LOL!!! The tenant then informs us that she is extending her lease another month. LMAO. So I try to contact our dear realtor ORLANDO who then hangs up the phone on me mid-conversation and refuses to answer either my phone or messages. Instead, he reports me to my roommate (whom I guess is now my mother and should scold me for telling him he's being unprofessional ????). Address issues with your client like an adult; I am not my roommate's child. Be a professional and respond to your clients, you are not 12, hanging up is for immature children. DO. YOUR. JOB. Renter's Paradise? More like the Eighth Circle of Hell! Total frauds! If you see the phone number (305) 865-0200 or (305) 944-2101 on a craigslist ad, RUN! It's what I call a bait listing for an apartment. The listing is basically totally fake or already rented. Renter's Paradise has this shady practice of putting up unbelievable, amazing apartments on craigslist and baiting you into meeting them at their office. Then when you arrive, you'll sit around for an hour or more waiting for the "realtor" because they are always late and then they'll tell you the property is gone or they'll show you some other crappy places that don't compare at all to the craigslist ad. Beware this has happened to me twice with two different "realtors" from two different Renter's "Paradise" offices. Today when I called about a craigslist ad (I didn't realize the phone number was for Renter's Paradise) the rude lady refused to answer my questions about the craigslist ad. She said she doesn't deal with talking about craigslist ads. Then why did she or the office put it up?! To bait me into coming and meeting with them, that's why! On a sad note, one of the times I was waiting for over an hour for one of their realtors this other guy approached me and said that he had already made the mistake of renting through them. During the showing he said he was really uncomfortable because he was rushed by the realtor and the current female tenant was sitting on her bed waiting around. Now that he's moved in, he found out that the a/c doesn't work and the toilet bowl is cracked. Do yourself a favor and contact a legit realtor. I read all the reviews here first, but since they had so many posts on craigslist i decided to just hear what they had and maybe look around, always being aware of my sorroundings. So i gave them a call and they told me to show up to their office two weeks or less before moving out date because everything they had available was ready ASAP. so i went to their new office and they have like 6 employees infront of computers just spamming post on every website. they made me fill an application and tell me the price range am looking for is not available , if i "mind going a bit higher" and as she told me that, post on craigslist popping up on my "price range". Stay away! I rented one apartment from them 8yrs ago thay was found to be infested with mold. A month ago I rented a 2nd apartment from them thinking the first apartment was a fluke. The new apartment is also infested with mold, black mold. The health problems I've experienced as a result are extreme including loosing 12lbs in a month as a side effect of the mold exposure. Upon revealing this information to my realtor, I was told I was makingbit up and that there ia no mold (despite picure evidence). Total low-life scammers these people; completely unethical. The old bait-and-switch tactic is their typical way of doing business. I had the "displeasure" of dealing with them myself once many years ago (and quickly learned from that experience), and recently accompanied someone who was looking for an apartment to their offices. On the way there, I already predicted what was going to happen: that the apartments RENTER's PARADISE advertised on Craigslist would either suddenly "not be available," the rent would be much higher than they had actually advertised, pictures posted would not match the apartments they promised, or they were going to try to scam them into a property way above the price range mentioned to the realtor over the phone. And guess what...I was 100% correct with my predictions, as this is exactly what happened once we arrived at the realtor's office. I have read many reviews online where people have made EXACTLY the same experience with them....just google them, you'll see for yourself. The realtor's code of ethics specifically prohibits a realtor to "advertise any property or services in a manner which is fraudulent, false, deceptive, or misleading in form or content," and also states that "realtors shall be careful at all times to present a true picture in their advertising and representations to the public." The 'good' people at Renter's Paradise probably don't even know how to SPELL "Code of Ethics." Anbody working there, or whose name is even remotely associated with this company, should be ashamed of themselves. These realtors are frauds. I also went to their office because of their craigslist ads and once there, was told that none of lower craigslist ads were available (even though all of them had been posted within 24 hours). I was then offered units more expensive than what they advertised. It was a definite bait and switch and there was no mention over the phone prior to driving to their office that ALL of the lower priced units were no longer available (and there were MANY!). I called their office when I was in South Beach (I had a terrible time getting them on the phone). I was told to drive to their office which took more about 30 minutes one way (they never explained I'd be leaving South Beach to get there on Collins Avenue). Once there I was then told to get back into my car and drive back/follow them to South Beach (so they wasted over an hour of my time between sitting in their office and driving around). Sara told me they would find something for me today and they did not. In fact, when I was grossly dissatisfied with my agent "Jerry", I called Sara and left a message to have her call me back and she never did - even though she told/pretty much promised me that she would find something for me today. I had looked at an apartment with another realtor that Renter's Pardise also had listed - and when I asked Jerry about the listing she said it was "not available". Yet - I had just seen it vacant and available within the hour of her telling me this (with the other realtor) - so it's not just a coincidence that all of their units advertised on craigslist could have been rented within minutes of their craigslist postings, because I saw it with my own eyes and with another realtor. Renters paradise (hell) in fact advertises properties and then tells you they're no longer available once you get to their dump office. I trusted these people to get me into housing today because they said they would, and then they took my desperation and started purusing me through apartments hundreds of dollars above my price range. This was a HORRIFIC experience for me. I spent valuable hours running around looking at two apartments beyond my price range with a realtor that wasted an hour of my time driving back and forth to their office and waiting for her nonsense. She didn't have the keys to EITHER of the units she showed me as well - I had to literally wait in my parked vehicle in front of one rental property while she spent over 15 minutes driving around to get keys to show me a unit. Renters Paradise is just plain awful. On a better note, after this nonsense I found a delightful 800 square foot one bedroom apartment for less money than the 230 square foot "efficiency" they tried to stick me with. I worked directly with the landlord of the building and had completed my transaction with him within minutes. Renters Paradise should be renamed to Renters Hell! read more

It's basically run by a bunch of incompetent kids who couldn't get into college. I made an appointment with one girl who failed to show up, so another guy decided to help me. I told him I was looking anywhere from Brickell to Aventura, and apparently there was only ONE building in the Miami area that he liked. Some place in North Bay Village, Treasure- something. He must get some extra compensation there because I was nearly FORCED to get this place. After a few minutes of him trying and telling me this was the only good building around, I left. Enough is Enough. she decided to withhold rent until they did something about it. she would call and text "CICI , which I have nothing good to say about this lady" and would never respond back. so instead of waiting for a respond my friend went and all she got was insults. Not only this place has no care for their renters they are disrespectful, dishonest, and any other words that are negative. finally after withholding her rent for one month she received an eviction noticed. Mind this, I was there when CICI had the odosity to tell my friend to brake the lease and move with a smirk on her face. Unbelievably bad experience.Went into office today with my family to look for a rental that we will need by mid August, the rental agent that we met with the day before was about to take us to see some more options but 1st asked if we were ready to sign that day. I replied "most likely if we really like it". With that,over comes the owner who says,if your not interested in putting a deposit down today,don't waste our time because the rentals won't be available later. I need the realtor here rather than driving around all day with you if your not going to make the deposit today. When your ready to make a purchase,come back then. The apartment came with so many things in need of repair and the realtor who showed us the apartment assured us we would get everything repaired when we moved in. LIES and MORE LIES is all we ever got. They made an arrangement for us to pay a late rent, but then at the moment of doing so, they would NOT give us a RECEIPT for a partial payment. They refused to do so and claimed if we didnt leave the partial payment without receiving a receipt we would GET EVICTED. Eventually they got their way and we are in the process of an eviction lawsuit. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Let me tell you the story of the time two ad school students got duped. I arrived in Miami to go to the worlds best ad school and quite obviously I needed a place. Enter Renters Paradise Realty. Everything was great at the start. The Ac broke down and even after a hundred requests no one did anything to fix it. But we were like, "Hey! You know what? This place is a ducking steal. It's nice. So let's make a sacrifice." We've been model tenants. Always paying the bills on time. Always paying the rent on time. The twist. The wonderful people at Renters Paradise Realty went to great lengths to build a personal relationship with us and thereby found out that we'll be leaving Miami right after the lease ends. So the time to leave comes around and we're told that we've been perfect tenants and the deposit should be mailed to us in a matter of weeks after the formality of checking the apartment. We clean it and move out and on with our lives. They tell us that the apartment was left in a terrible state and they can't give us our security deposit back. Now this put us in a really tricky position. If we could fly back to Miami from New York and/or Minneapolis to contest this face to face, we probably would be spending something close to the amount of money we were trying to get back. Do we seek legal counsel? Wrong answer again, because a lawyer would probably cost 5 times the amount. The beauty of this entire ordeal was that they knew how this would be played from the start. They knew that we'll be powerless to do anything on the day that woman (who runs this racket) smiled through all her layers of botox at me and gave me the keys. I hope from the bottom of my heart that they steal from someone who can take them to court and sue them for every last stinking stolen dollar one day. So yeah... keep looking. Because reviews are just the way of the world, here goes... I called to get more info on a 2/2 at Miami Beach and was told the unit cost $1500 and was available now. I asked when I could see the apartment and was told they'd be there until 5pm. I said "Great! I'll be at the apt in 30." Upon arrival, I call the same number and Michael, who I'm 99% certain was the same person I spoke to earlier tells me the appointment are always scheduled at their office, which is apparently in Collins - that was the FIRST I heard of this. Instead of a simple apology for being unclear that they were an agency and not an office in the building, he rudely said I was wrong and misunderstood cause they always do things this way and that he could not help me if I didn't know who I spoke to. After more unnecessary and unprofessional bitching from this unhelpful individual he finally gets me a kind realtor to meet me at the apartment and show me the unit. But of course, she showed me a 1/1 because that was what she was informed. I asked about any 2/1 or 2/2 in the building and of course, none of those were available. Ultimately, my time was wasted and I experienced horrible customer service from this Michael fella. Do not recommend this place at all, unless you enjoy an ego-filled challenge. P.s. Sara answered, so i asked her if they had plenty of apartments in south beach in my price range and i asked her about some of their listings if those were available and she said yes. She said that i needed to go to their office first. So i went on a 20 minute drive to their office and one of the agents had me fill out an application. I asked for the ones listed on craigslist and she said those were not available. She said she only had apartments in nmb so i said ok well lets go see.. and then she came back saying they were 400 more then my price range. No stars! Very BAD experience. Stayed for one year in the appt rented by RP. At the end they hold part of my deposit. $200 for water and $200 for damage to the mosquito screen. Although, I had paid water bill in full and showed them the final bill, they did not give back the deposit. Mosquito screen just came off because of the wind and was not damaged. The owner, Francis Jacob, will tell lies in your face. Told that they will release the deposit once the final bill is paid. Never did. Do not believe a word from them! Paradise Lost! Looter's Paradise? Perhaps the positive reviews here have to do with being shown an apartment, liking it immediately and everyone's happy. I was shown 2 places that were not ready to be moved into, the second one in which the listing agent (not Renter's Paradise) and the unit owner both were fine with my decision to not move in. These fine folks (Streamline Properties 1125 Washington Avenue) returned my 2 mos. rent cashier's check and tore up their check for half of the commission - a check that was written to them by Renter's Paradise. Then the fun begins! Renter's Paradise proceeds to attempt to keep my escrow deposit for both their commission (which they weren't entitled to because I never moved in) and Streamline Properties commission as well! You know, the amount on the check that Streamline had ripped up. FYI: messing with escrow $$ is a legal no-no for a realtor... The following were some of Renters Paradise tactics to illegally keep my deposit: Told me to my face that I had moved into the unit even though they knew that I hadn't ( this way they could say that they "did their job" and are entitled to keep their half of the commission). They sent a registered mail, time sensitive document to the address of the unit that I had never moved into stating that I had 15 days to contest Renters Paradise claim to Streamline's commission! The document falsely stated that Renters Paradise was the listing agent for the property. Yes folks, they actually put the lie in a printed document. Additionally, they claimed that they never received multiple texts and emails from me. Just attempted to work with an individual name Paula, Realtor for multiple listing in hopes to rent a property. Shes seemed very prejudice over our asking p4ice for any losting of 1200 a mont and was push aside. Please educate Paula about proper customer etiquette for better customers experince. WARNING!!!!! These people do not do maintenance walk-throughs with you before or after you move in. ( so forget about ever receiving you FULL deposit) I actually lived at one of their apts. for a whole year and was OK with my experience getting an apartment but it all went down hill only a week before my lease was up. After declining them numerous times about showing the apt while I was still living here (I was moving out 2 weeks before my lease was up so why not wait or come when I am not there) I was packing and cleaning one day and as I come from the back I see 2 people inside my living room looking around. My belongings were packed all over the place and TV was on. So he knew someone was inside but that didn't seem to bother him. He did not introduce himself as a Realtor just as a person looking at the place. So when he asked me why I am leaving and the lady asked me whats wrong with the place, I was honest. If renters paradise would have respected my privacy this would of never had happened AND i did not say anything that wasn't true. Water damage in my cabinets that was just painted over to HIDE to problem from upstairs, and back sliding door was broken which I lived like that for 1 yr. and Roberto told me That's just how it has to be for now, roaches, etc. The next day I get a phone call from Sari and WOW is all I can say. When she asked me about the things that were said I said yes and I wasn't lying she replies "Well what do you expect with you wanting to pay rent that cheap, did you think you were going to live high end" AND "Well we will see what happens when it comes down to your deposit honey." I was in total shock and I did tell her I am glad she is talking to me like this because I have been recording her this whole time. She hangs up on me, the next day I did not like how things went down and decided to apologize and agreed that we BOTH shouldn't have spoken to each other like that and that Ive read reviews about people NOT getting their deposit back so what she told me yesterday really worried me. Sari all of a sudden had no clue what I was talking about. (She thought I was recording her again) Well a month after I left I get a check and a whopping $125 BACK FROM MY $750 SECURITY DEPOSIT. I cleaned that apt. to spotless even had a friend help me out and my downstairs neighbors (which works for RP as their AC guys) do some minor plaster fillings from nails on the wall. Which they are charging me $35 for a bathtub stopper which I never even had in the first place, $60 soap holder, probably has never been replaced. $100 to clean the apt. which I left spotless $300 to paint the walls which I left the same when I moved in. They also will not set up an appt to do a maintenance walk through. In their words "Ha, we don't do that" So even though at first I was happy with them finding a place for me around $800 a month, in the end I am just glad I am not dealing with them anymore. P.S. I HAVE YET TO READ A REVIEW ON HERE ABOUT SOMEONE COMPLETING THEIR LEASE AND LEFT HAPPY WITH THEIR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. AND I WONT BE SURPRISED IF AFTER THIS REVIEW THEY THEMSELVES WRITE ONE OR GET SOMEONE TO LIE FOR THEM. read more
