The hallways definitely smelled like cigarette smoke in several areas; and there was a bit of a pervasive bad smell in the lobby that we noticed. The water in the shower wouldn't stay hot for long and the air con did not work very well.

There are no restaurants at the hotel only a buffet breakfast served daily at the lower level. We chose this hotel due to location location. It's situated in an ideal neighborhood and within a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. We were lucky to get the highest floor with a partial view of the tower. The other perk is the metro station is right across the street so commuting around town was a breeze. The noise level was minimal and was not bothersome. The Paris hotel rooms are all pretty small because space is limited at the city center. The sleep space is the size of a small bedroom. Make sure to pack light since the rooms are tight quarters. It was difficult to maneuver my large suitcase. The room has a small lcd tv, desk, tea and coffee, queen sized bed, closet and a safe. The bathroom has all the essentials: hair dryer, shower cap, shower gel, body lotion and shampoo. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was so nice and accommodating during our stay. They are all English speaking. For your safety, the front entrance is locked by 11pm and you'll need to ring the door bell to be allowed in. Our overall experience here was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Paris if you would like to stay within the tourist area. There are several local markets and a pharmacy with a 3 minute walk. Not to mention tons of eateries and pastry shops. The area is ideal and visitor friendly. FYI they do offer airport shuttle service.

The hotel staff are nice, not super friendly, but helpful when needed and actually mind their business--if you are the type to prefer privacy. I have been to Paris several times, but this was the most memorable. My fiancee (now wife) and I were able to walk pretty much everywhere from this location. In addition, there is a metro station 2 minutes from the lobby's front door. Walk past the metro another 5 minutes and there is small grocery store with a great selection of wines and plenty of great ingredients for backpacking. Our time at was great and I would go back anytime. In fact, I will stay there every time I am in Paris from now on if possible.

Get a room facing the back courtyard for a more quiet room. Great chocolate and pastry shop across the street. And another down the street further . And yet another... Basic breakfast buffet at the hotel with good coffee for a reasonable 12 Euros. Comfy beds, smaller (but decent sized for Paris) rooms, everything brand new and working well. We arrived to a small lobby that looked nothing like the photos. I should say right away. The photos are photo shopped or something. This place is NOTHING like the photos they show. We immediately didn't feel safe in the area. This is not a safe area of the city. (We were later told by locals) we knew it. We could feel it. I was already visiting a foreign country. I needed to feel safe in my hotel. The man was nice and checked us in. He advised us that when its dark outside he has to lock the door for safety. So if we wanted to leave or come back late we'd need to call from the front desk so he could come let us out. This made me uncomfortable. Our room was on the 3rd or 4th floor I dont recall exactly. This is probably because of the panic attack I had on the elevator. We had only brought 1 small carry on suitcase thankfully because the elevator was so tiny that I had to be pressed into my husband's chest for the door to shut. This is no exaggeration at all. I never took the elevator again. I literally could not. The room was small and the bedding looked clean. The room was very basic. Which would have been fine had it not been for the other issues. We dropped our stuff and were excited to get out and about in Paris. As we left we had to take the stairs which were dark and had no lighting. We were literally uncomfortable every second we were in this hotel. We stopped at the front desk to ask about how to access public transportation. There was Noone there so I picked up the phone to call. No answer. We just left and found another hotel. We returned the key and told the man we didnt feel safe and wouldn't be staying. The hotel did not refund any of our money. I think they should have refunded at least 1 night since we paid for 2 but never even stayed 1 night. I just had to be ok with that because I could have never felt safe or slept well there.

Decent 3 Star Hotel that offers basic but nice and modern rooms…read more The free Wifi - works. Rates are not cheap but reasonable. Breakfast (Buffet) was really good. Rooms were always clean. Staff was quite friendly, with only few exceptions. The Location is good in my book. Situated directly at the Metro Line 8, the Tram 3a, with several Bus-lines in close vicinity and the Rer C (get's you to Versailles, for example) only a short walk (or one tram-stop) away - the Hotel is very well connected despite being at the edge of town. And you will find everything you need in close vicinity: Parks, Bars, Restaurants, Supermarkets and there even is a big cinema at the Aquaboulevard a 5 minute walk away. Negatives: The Hotel is situated on a busy road (all rooms overlook that road) and with plenty public transport going by - comes noise. The windows are good and keep the noise at out (and there is AC so you don't have to open them to keep cool) when they are closed but if you want/have to sleep with your windows open - you better be bringing noise-cancelling ear plugs.

Our room was on the 3rd floor, and was absolutely fine, clean and tidy as you would expect, the room is a little small but if you have stayed in London before then you would find this more than adequate. The only gripe I had with the room was the lack of heating, though it wasn't much of a problem as it was fairly warm outside anyway. Weirdly enough they don't seem to have any double beds, just twin beds pushed together. There is a handy supermarket down the road - go out of the hotel, left down the road, then do a left at the first junction. Follow the road down and you will see the Casino supermarket. There is also the metro station which is opposite, though for whatever reason this is not mapped on the Metro. Though I got on OK by using Invalides station for Effiel tower and Opera station to get to the other sites by changing line. Also some nice pubs around the area and a great patisserie. Good location, OK hotel.

They planted an empty bottle of champagne in my room and accused me of drinking alcohol so they could charge my card when I don't drink alcohol. Manager, Julien Humbert, became verbally and physically abusive and threatened to charge my card with further items as soon as I left the hotel. He then verbally and physically assaulted me calling me an "uneducated, poor, disgusting thief." I had to call the police. They were reported to the Fraud department and I have started legal proceedings.

Unfortunately, during our three day stay here, lots of things went wrong…read more - Upon check in, we were asked to provide a security deposit, which of course is normal and expected. However, their card machine did not work. We tried many different cards, all of which were working normally, but we were still blamed which was extremely embarrassing when surrounded by other guests. Fifteen minutes later, we were told "not to worry" and never had to provide a deposit. - The room was literally back-to-back with the elevator of the hotel. A little bit of noise is of course totally understandable in a hotel but we could hear the elevator shaft every time it was used, and this was hugely disturbing of our sleep. - Very concerningly, we received a letter that was intended for another guest. This is obviously a huge breach of confidentiality. - Our room booking promised "premium bedding", when in fact both sides of our duvet were old, cheap, and had 10+ inch rips down either side. I spoke to the "director" of the hotel, Julien Humbert, who has not given me a single apology for this terrible experience, but has instead very worryingly told me that he did not see any issues in the concerns that I raised, and that I apparently do not appreciate the struggles the hotel has been through since the pandemic. I fully understand the struggles that the world has unfortunately been through, however this is absolutely no excuse for the terrible service we endured. Please, please, stay elsewhere.

Do not let the street or outside of the building throw you off. It does look a bit dated and sketchy from the outside, but DO NOT WORRY! The lady at the front desk allowed us to store our belongings before check in. Check in was at 2pm so we had 4 hours to kill. When we arrived back at the hotel, our room was ready and good to go! The room is a bit small, but so delightful! We had room 5. So fun! You walked into the room with the shower and a small sink, then walk down into your full room. This was so cool. Being that there were 3 of us, we had a big double bed and a twin for the third guest. The room had modern NYC art on the walls and it was actually not as small as it looked. Pros: Very clean, great price, great service Cons: I don't think there was AC, so it was a little warm. But nothing that wasn't bearable. Thank you for the hospitality!

The service was terrible. They gave 1 towel for 2 people. There was a hole in our floor, and also dirt literally everywhere. The bedsheets were stained, so were the mattresses. The toilet seat didn't stay up so if you had to sit on the toilet it would dig into your back. The whole building stank like stale cigarette smoke despite no smoking signs everywhere. On top of everything, everyone who worked there were rude from the moment we walked in. Please don't stay here unless you love getting bed bugs and horrible service. Nice location tho.
