I took my MacBook to have my screen repaired and they charged $350 to get it back with a line in the middle of the screen. So I take it back and they kept it for about a week, claiming it was ready but yet I never received a call. So I constantly have to stay on them. It turns on and looks good but I get home and the screen is worse than when I dropped it off. This time they want to charge me another $300 when I never had it fixed in the first place. They don't take responsibility for what a poor job on their end. There were no physical damage to the screen but yet, I'm the one that damaged the screen. I would definitely not go back to this place. I definitely don't recommend it. Buyer beware!! Repair Squad Brownsville (Alton glor). Brought my IPhone 11 in on November 14th for a cracked screen repair. Never broken a screen before so I didn't know what to expect. When I picked my phone up I was told that it's not an authentic apple screen since only Apple sells them. Okay I thought. Two days later I realized my Face ID wasn't working anymore and I would get a black screen when I was getting a phone call. Also the brightness of the screen was terrible. I had to bring my phone back in. When I picked it up they stated they only could fix the Face ID since it was improperly installed but they "couldn't replicate" the black screen. I continued to have the black screen issue, battery draining, brightness, and battery heating up issues. I thought okay this must all come with getting an after market screen I'll just put up with it. On December 16th my 2 year old had my phone and dropped it maybe 6 inches on my living room floor. I picked it up thinking it would be fine since it had a case on it as well. Nope the whole LCD left corner was broken and a crack all throughout the screen. Worse then when I dropped it almost 5 feet on concrete. I called them thinking okay they said there's a warranty this screen obviously had no integrity. They were polite said bring it in we will look. I drove there, they took it in and the man that "intakes the phones" came off very abrasive and said the tech will look at it and see if it's covered under warranty. They called me maybe 15 mins later to tell me no it's not and they will give me 20% off a "premium screen". Okay well what's this "premium screen" and why wasn't I offered this the first time. I asked to speak to the manager. Absolutely rude and combative, refused to give me his name and when I asked to speak to the owner he refused and refused to give me the owners name as well. I said I'll come back to the store and try to sort this out and you can call the owner from there. I arrived and to my surprise now the man who just "intakes" the phones is now the manager. After some of the worst customer service, I asked if he could please have the owner call me so we can sort this out and he rolled his eyes and said yeah tomorrow after 12. Well no one ever called me. I found out looking at the Better business bureau they have had other complaints with no owner response. All this place is doing is buying cheap screens and charging premium pricing. For a little more I could've had Apple fix my screen with an authentic one. After I found out Bestbuy is a partner with Apple and does in deed replace with authentic Apple screens for almost the same price. Learned my lesson and just putting it out there so people can do their own research. read more
