Sounded good except the next day they were out of cash again by the PM. So I went Tuesday 7/14 in the AM right after 9am when they should have been opened. But doors were closed and no staff in sight just a few other people waiting impatiently to no avail. After 20 mins I gave up and left but not before calling their business line and leaving a message with their AI attendant. Feeling a little like I've been scammed and definitely out the gas money for 3 wasted trips.

Once I found it, I pulled up and was the only customer there, so I knew I would be done quickly. As I got out of my car, I was greeted by TONS of flies, that even hovered all over my car as i went to approach the attendant. Bees and flies were infested bad at this place and i couldn't wait to be done. After I signed the ticket, I asked him where do i get my money, and he said "Right here...unless you want to go somewhere else". I laughed and said "No i dont!" He gave me money right from his pocket, which I wasnt expecting, especially since I didnt see a cash register anywhere. This place is far from my house, so not sure I will be back, but if I had to choose one to go, i may or may not come back here. It's still up in the air.

Then by sheer necessity I ended up here maybe a month ago. The place was clean as can be. I don't remember the guy's name but he was polite and helpful. I was so happy as this is closer to my home. I went today and there was a gentleman there by the name of Daniel. He's not the first guy I saw but the place was just as clean And Daniel was over the top nice and helpful. I noticed that they always seem to be light so I went ahead and bought a scale just to compare. I brought 42lbs of cans and they claimed it was only 30lbs. I weighed them before I brought in so I know what it should have been, but no arguing with them. I'd just avoid this place altogether if you are trying to make a few bucks in your pocket. If you don't care and are simply trying to donate, go ahead. I'll be skipping this place here on forward.

My Mom and I came here to recycle some cardboard. She has been coming here for years. They know her…read moreby name. This was my first time here. When I was looking for this place on Yelp, it didn't come up as Main Street Recycling Center. It came up as Main Street Fibers which I find odd because what does fibers have to do with recycling LOL. Anyway, this center is located on Main Street, hence, the biz name. There are two sides to it... one for cardboard and another for cans/plastic bottles... btw, they are on opposite sides of the street. There is street parking available. Upon arrival, I drove onto the scale to have the vehicle weighed. Soon after, the nice gentleman handed us a receipt with the # of lbs on it. Then I drove to the area where we drop off the cardboard. Just drive close enough to the big pile of cardboard and place your cardboard on the ground. They will take care of the rest. Afterwards, I drove back on the scale to have the vehicle weighed again and handed the receipt to the same nice gentleman so he can write the weight of vehicle without the cardboard. Lastly, I drove my Mom to the other side so she can get paid. As of 09/21/2024, it's currently $85 per ton of cardboard (2,000 lbs per ton). Price is subject to change. It was an interesting experience. I've been to one other cardboard recycling center. They operate about the same as this place except they do not give out the receipt with lbs written on it. All in all this is a good place to recycle your recyclables.
