My annual membership renewed on a credit card that I didn't want to use. The membership coordinator, Chris, assured me that I could switch my membership charge to a different credit card. I let him charge the membership on an alternate credit card, but the original charge was not reversed at that time. I was told that the owner, Terry Flick, was the only person who could reverse charges, but he was not available. I was assured the money would go back to my original card in a few days. At this point I was billed a total of $1800 for one $900 membership. One week later I called to ask when the original $900 credit would be issued, and I was told that the owner had been unavailable but that he would issue the credit that day, and it would take a few days to see it on my credit card. My credit card payment was due before then, so I had to pay the bill for $900 or pay interest. Another full week had passed before I had to again call Chris about the credit that I was supposed to have seen 10+ days earlier. Chris insisted that the owner had issued the credit seven days earlier when I had called last time, but my credit card company had no record of any charge reversal attempts. I finally sent an email to the owner asking for the credit that had been promised two weeks earlier. I also demanded a credit for the second charge, because one or both of them lied to me about the credit. This business is not trustworthy. The owner responded to my email stating that their policy states they do not give refunds. I guess I missed the part in the policy where they state that they reserve the right to charge twice for one annual membership. Terry Flick did credit both cards that 14th day, and he expressed in his email how generous he was to overlook his policy on refunds in my case. I suppose his expectation is that I should be thankful that he eventually refunded the extra money that he tried to keep??? They have a nice facility. I had hoped to enjoy another year of membership, but I prefer to not do business with liars and thieves. Beware. read more

I'll be completely honest coming here and shooting is really fun and great safe experience with very qualified employees. My only complaint about this place is if you sell a gun here you get a lowball pawnshop offer and they go and sell the gun for a brand new price. I've seen a beretta 92fs used for $700 when it's brand new at that price at academy. I've seen a Daniel defense m4v9 for $2400 which is a $300 markup. I understand they have to make profit but damn. It's better just to buy it retail and this is all before taxes, but anyways still a nice range I enjoy coming here. read more

I purchased an Item from here in March. I paid in full, and asked for helping using the Silencer shop Kiosk as it was my first time. I was not provided assistance. The employee took my money, and then disappeared to BS with other sales associates. I then was provided help by I believe it was "Dre" who was knowledgeable. Nothing against him personally. My biggest issue is 6 months later when I arrived to pick up my item, I was told I owed $44.00. This was not discussed, nor agreed to when I made my initial purchase. I asked why I was expected to pay a $44.00 fee when I was told all I needed to do was pick my item up when it was ready. The employee informed me they had just started charging the fee this month (September). I was told they were not making enough money on the items due to silencershop fees. (that is a them problem). I will not be doing business with this place nor will I recommend anyone else. When I pay you for an item that is the end of our transaction. I paid almost $500.00, waited 6 months, only to be told they felt they were owed more money. When a price is agreed to, and paid, that should be the end of it. poor business decision on their part should not be pushed to the consumer. Now if they needed to start this charge I understand telling everyone who starts purchasing items in September that their will be an additional filing charge. I would not recommend you purchase from here since you will not actually know what the cost to do business with them is. I wont spend another dime there. (not a fan of surprise fees). Outside of being able to sell suppressors most their other items are nothing special. Cheap ear pro/ eye pro Etc. I recently visited Republic Gun Range of Woodway, Texas, and was disappointed by their practices and policies. Here's why: 1. ID Scanning and Lack of IT Policy: They scanned my Texas ID but couldn't provide any information on data retention and security policies. This lack of transparency is concerning. 2. Multi-Page Contract and Video: I had to read a lengthy contract and watch a 7-10 minute video. The video, featuring their lawyers, emphasized our inability to protect ourselves legally in case of an accident. This felt excessive and intimidating. 3. Law Enforcement Management: The range seems to be run by current or former law enforcement. The atmosphere felt more like a data collection operation than a community-focused gun range. 4. Corporate Ownership Concerns: Similar to Range USA in Houston, this range appears to be part of a large corporate conglomerate. It raises concerns that the information collected from gun owners could be used against them in court or for other purposes not in their best interest. What's worse is here is the response I got from the review on Google: The amount of ignorance incapsulated within this review is astounding. 1. His ID was never scanned and this not our policy 2. He never even got to the on-line waiver required by insurance because he couldn't figure out how to find it on his phone. He also couldn't find the NSSF range safety video also required to watch. 3. Three and Four - Republic Gun Club is one-of-a-kind, owned and operated by a local family. And, although we have never served in law enforcement, we would have been proud to. Summary, Robert and his friend Edward are not the type of people that we want in our business or around our guests and Team members. Due to his aggressive nature the video and audio files have been retained and sent to local law enforcement. If they attempt to return to Republic Gun Glub, they will be trespassed. In summary, Republic Gun Range of Woodway, Texas, feels more like an invasion of privacy than a community service. First I want to start with Waco really needed something of this higher caliber (excuse the pun). The facility is first rate, but what sets them above all others is the staff. They are more than eager to help, teach and explain. No matter what level of familiarity with weapons you have, they were there to guide And make you very comfortable. My wife and I recently joined and besides the membership we also purchased a handgun for my wife. The facility and staff stood by their promises as we had to make several changes on the weapon we purchased. They made the process of selection easy allowing us to try several weapons that would fit her needs. This is just a superior gun club. My wife and I are members. It is conveniently located, they have all kinds of ammo, reasonably priced. You can rent guns, get lessons, fire a rifle or pistol. They are friendly and treat you as family. If you are a new gun owner, please come here for classes. You won't be disappointed. I used the pistol range today and it was clean, well lit, well supervised and I have years of experience as a Range Safety Officer in the military. It just does not get any better. They honor veterans and host special events for them. This is very family friendly and I would encourage every parent that wants a son or daughter to shoot to send them here.
