Republic trash services is by far the worst place to serve you residential trash needs. We've had them for almost 15 years and the service has slowly gotten worse, while the prices for the same service has almost tripled. The people that drive the trucks are some of the most incompetent, unreliable, uncaring, I think I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. They would constantly run over decorative stones along the driveway, because they are completely incompetent and driving a large trash truck. Interacting with customer service whether via email or on the phone, is just as bad. You're constantly placed on hold because no one can really help you, so they switch you to somebody else. That person picks up and ask you to hold. this is the whole cycle of Republic. And they charge you for everything to drop off their own crappy trash receptacles they charge you. then when you finally decide to go someplace else, they charge you to pick up their own crappy, filthy, broken, smelly, trash receptacles. read more

AWFUL COMPANY!! I have had this company for 3 weeks, THREE WEEKS, started on a Tuesday, next week they came on Wednesday, then I put my trash out Tuesday this week to get notified they are moving it to Thursday, then I get an email...."we're going to be 6 hours late", its FRIDAY and I just called. I was told they don't know what it going on but they can have someone come MONDAY. I have 9 days of dang trash, my can is overflowing. I have trash INSIDE that can't go out because the can that was SUPPOSED TO BE EMPTY IS FULL. Then I ask for a refund for the week, he says he will send me to the billing department. He didn't it I had a dial tone when he "transferred" I will haul my trash to week every single week before I keep trash service through this AWFUL company read more

I chose this company because of their online and app services, unfortunately those are the ONLY working part of this company. They have missed numerous pickup days, tossed items they didn't want to take out of our bins, and do not have a true customer service action plan to resolve issues. I pay my bill early each time. My pickup date was moved from Monday to Friday which meant going an additional week without service. My last pickup date was the 5th of October, it is now the 21st of October and still they have not picked up our trash despite contacting them Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and today. This is a public health issue and now I will be reporting them to our local sanitation department. read more

So ... it would appear that Republic Services has turned me over to a collection agency. First I will day that I have exceptional credit. A lender told me once that they had never seen a divorced man with a credit score as good as mine. I pay what's owed and I pay it on time. I used Republic Trash service when my old trash company sold out. When I sold that home, and moved 6 hours away, I notified Republic Trash service immediately via their app that I needed my service cancelled due to the sale and move. I paid for the service through the last week I owned the residence. There was even a time when their truck broke down in front of my house, I got my tools and helped their driver get going again. But because I did not fill out some special form, they chose to keep billing me when there was no trash to pick up. I called them and explained that I would not pay this because I didn't receive service. They billed me anyway. Now they have turned me over to a collection agency for $87.80 of billed services that were never rendered. What an exploit of customers to unethically obtain unearned revenue. Republic Services ... screw you and your collection agency. I own my new home ... I'm not impacted. I have vehicles in my driveway and garage ... I'm not impacted. I have everything I need .. I'm not impacted. Let's go to court please ... so I can counter sue you! Please! For other customers ... trash service is just that. They aren't the electric company and the only one you can use. I WISH I COULD LEAVE LESS THAN ZERO STARS! Literally the worst service and customer service around! The Republicservices people out of Cape are worse than horrible! They have missed picking up my trash multiple times then when you call they say they will be out to get it the next day, then A WEEK later - my trash is still sitting there. So I call after 5 pm (they say they are open til 7 pm) I wait on hold over 40 minutes then click the button to have someone call me back by the end of the day - NOPE! So I call today to cancel and you know what - they charge you $30 to do so! They are not the least expensive yet they try to make you feel good about charging you to pick up the container! This world is insane and I feel bad for anyone who uses this service. read more
