I have nothing but incredible things to say about Little Acorns Grow! As a first time mom I toured…read more11 daycares and interviewed 6 nannies in the area and ultimately decided to send my 5 month old to LAG with zero regrets. The teachers in the infant room were some of the most warm, welcoming, and wonderful women I know. I genuinely felt like they loved my daughter and knowing she was in such caring hands every day meant so much to me. When picking a daycare you can go somewhere that is simply just going to keep your child's needs met, or you can go somewhere that your child can actually grow. The latter is LAG. There were specific times for activities, music class, snack time, outside time, etc. Even at a young age I noticed the difference in my daughter after her being at LAG. The facility itself is so well-kept. The classrooms are clean, not overwhelming with too many toys or screens or colors, and they have a beautiful outdoor area as well. We unfortunately had to withdraw our daughter from LAG recently because we are relocating to a new area and trust me when I say it was the hardest and saddest decision to make. LAG is such a special place and we feel so lucky our daughter got to attend here.

At first, I thought the parking lot was plain, but as soon as I stepped inside, it was a whole different world! Definetly worth to visit on a tour. I absolutely loved the play yard. They have two main outdoor areas: one for the little kids and another for the older ones. Plus, they have a garden where they plant vegetables and strawberries, and there's plenty of shade everywhere. It's truly a lovely space. The outdoor play area immediately made me feel happy, and I knew this was the place I wanted my kids to be. My daughter attended from ages 2 to 4, and now my son has started at 2 years old. LAC also has an infant center, which looks wonderful! I seen parents taking off their shoes in the infant center, keeping it extra clean! Last year, they did a bunch of new updates in all classrooms and bathrooms. The classrooms are nice and well-maintained. I especially loved Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Joan, and Mrs. Shannon. And if you need anything, ask for Leilany in the office, she's super nice and always helpful. I highly recommend Little Acorns Grow to any parent looking for a nice, clean, beautiful and outdoorsy daycare!

The principle must have a personal vendetta for me and my children because in the short years that she has been there she's managed to call my daughter a liar when I told her she was being bullied she also said my daughter needed to be put in another grade level because she would develop before all the other kid's would.. excuse me why are you talking about a 7 year old developing? And the latest.. she has called social services on me ! Not kidding or exaggerating this woman actually had social services come to my house today. So apparently my son who has behavioral and psychological problems warranted social services to be called. right away I knew it was the school because no one else would ever accuse me of abusing my kids either mentally or physically or of neglect etc. I've spoken to multiple people at that school about my sons behavior and me wanting intervention or counseling yet they act like I'm being completely oblivious to the fact that he's changed since school started. I could write a book about this school and my horrid experiences.... Maybe I will. So sad that children that are actually getting abused get ignored and people like me who do nothing but love their children get accused. Wow just wow.

Just another happy parent here! My kids love going to school. Read that back. They love going to…read moreschool and it's all because of the incredible staff and admin at CWC WV. Their rigorous academics, the focus on SEL, and project based learning have given my kids the opportunity to not only learn, but thrive. As a parent, I feel so grateful to have such a supportive community and ample opportunities to volunteer. I'm a full time working parent and the school has found ways for working families to be involved in the community as well. School leadership is accessible and works in partnership with caregivers to addresses concerns, ideas, and more. This community is truly magical. We couldn't be happier to be CWC West Valley Unicorns!

The last two years at this school have been a real disappointment. If you're able to break into the…read moreparent community, you'll probably enjoy it. It's nice becoming friends with the parents of your child's classmates, but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make up for the issues we experienced. The teacher turnover has been hard to ignore. Several amazing teachers left, leaving those who stayed with even more responsibilities and less support. At times, it was obvious how overwhelmed some teachers were. As a parent, that's difficult to watch. One of our biggest concerns was technology and student safety online. Despite schools knowing what children can access on the internet, my child told me students were visiting sites like TikTok, YouTube, and Amazon during school. Even more concerning, my child was exposed to inappropriate images shown by another student. It left us wondering what safeguards were actually in place. Communication with administration was another frustration. Good luck reaching someone by phone without calling multiple times or leaving messages. When concerns were raised, we often felt gaslit rather than supported. What the school does seem to do well is fundraising. There is no shortage of requests for donations or encouragement to ask family and friends to contribute. At times, it felt like fundraising received more attention than addressing parent concerns. I've noticed more parents speaking up and sharing their experiences recently, and unfortunately our experience this year was no better than last year. We wish the school luck and hope for the best but they need to get their priorities straight. Do your research, ask current and former families questions, and look beyond the marketing before deciding if this school is right for your child.

That made me realize how much teacher-led, paper-and-pen instruction helps students focus and learn. As a transfer student, my daughter was warmly supported by teachers, her advisor, and the staff. The community is small, caring, and dedicated. I also joined a Board of Directors meeting before enrolling and was impressed by the school's organization and forward-thinking leadership. VIPHS reports an 81% college-acceptance rate, compared with under 60% at many nearby public high schools. The average class size is about 20 with a 15:1 student-teacher ratio, versus 30-35 students and ratios in the high 20s elsewhere. VIPHS is a close-knit, welcoming community that genuinely cares for students and prioritizes personal attention and academic excellence. Plus, drop-off and pick-up are so easy, a small but real bonus for families!

I heard that it was a large and thriving school before the pandemic and it is now growing, but organically. But currently, the classroom size is about 6 or 8 kids in my son's class, it has room to grow. The timbre of the theory of the school is to develop the child with wonder, curiosity, desire, and the confidence to learn and create, and then they could pursue the facts to learn. In this world of technology changing everything exponentially, some educators wonder if they should drill the children with facts and figures when computers will be providing all of that. These educators seem to think that the children who will succeed in the future are those who think and create. My son likes this school. He was recently diagnosed with ADHD, and the instructors are continuously learning and growing to work with him. And the biggest thing they seem to be teaching are social skills. This school currently runs from pre-k to 5th, and they are in talks about going up to 6th grade.
