I had made a mistake and tried "recharging" my wool dryer balls by throwing them in the washing…read moremachine (as a few blog posts state to do!) however, whether by user error (me..) or by actual fact (like, are you not supposed to wash wool?) 4 out of 5 of our wool dryer balls completely fell apart and basically disintegrated during the wash cycle which I did not discover until i went to move the dryerballs and towels into the drying machine. Lo and behold, our washing machine did not drain and there was wool dryer ball fluff everywhere... I was panicking! I'd never broken a washing machine before! So I took to Yelp and found Ronen's company and messaged them through Request a Quote. Ronen got back to me SUPER quickly and was actually able to come the day after I reached out to them. He did tell me there was an initial diagnostic fee, but it could be credited to the repair. Ronen came during the time window that he gave me, found out what was wrong with the machine, told me what the issue was and quoted me on the spot (we had a broken drain that needed to be replaced) for about ~$415 + tax. I really needed the washer fixed, so I agreed and Ronen went ahead with the fix. All in all, for someone to have come the next day to find the problem and fix it within an hour or two while causing as minimal disruption to our family's day-to-day, I'd say Ronen's price was honest and worth it! From the time I used Request a Quote to the time Ronen walked out of our unit, the communication was clear, concise, and very helpful. Will definitely be recommending Total Care Appliance Repair to any friends in Toronto that need services!

I called these guys after being referred from another repair company that didn't have expertise (or…read moreso claimed) with GE appliances. Manny was quick to respond and showed up the next day or so. This was JULY 2019. Main issue was constant ice build up. His visit comprised of chipping away the ice built up and pouring water down the drainage hole at the back of the fridge. His advice was to do it again if the build up comes back. 2 weeks later, had another build up and I'm clearing it myself but clearly there's another issue? His visit was few hundred dollars (I want to say $300-400 but can't remember because my landlord paid him directly.) In that same initial visit, I also had him order a replacement fridge handle. He told me it was on back order and would take a few months but would call me once it came in. I totally forgot about it with work being busy. I followed up end of January and this guy tells me "Wow supplier called me with this part. Telling me it arrived long ago. I was trying to find to who it belonged but I couldn't find. I'll check tomorrow." I messaged a week later and he said he'd check. A few days later "Ya they told me they had to ship it back since it was there for long time. I reordered it." This was Feb 6. I have record of the interaction because I couldn't get him on the phone, it was all on text. I've been following up on this since then every few weeks to no response. My landlord prepaid for the handle so you'd think he'd follow through. Do yourself a favour. Go somewhere else.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY for clothes dryer repairs. The net of our experience with ODAR is that we…read moreare out-of-pocket $427.15, and the dryer has not been repaired. We learned through our own research that our dryer cannot be repaired: an essential part, the safety/high-limit thermostat, is no longer available! The so-called "expert technician" didn't even check the thermostat on the first visit, even though we told him that the dryer had been over-heating prior to not heating at all. Anybody can claim to be "the most reliable repair service in the GTA". Realize that companies such as ODAR pay to have their advertisement appear at the top of an Internet search list; this top-of-the-list position has nothing to do with the company's competency. If your dryer breaks down, contact the manufacturer and deal only with one of their recommended technicians. Always read the reviews posted on arm's-length sites such as Homestars or Yelp before going ahead.

STAY AWAY! This…read moreletter was sent after a visit at the end of MAY. 5 attempts total to get a return visit after a maintenance call "fix" lasted two days.... $ 300+ later - I got no call and no assisstance. Dear Manager, Further to my telephone call today, Friday, Thursday and Wednesday. I would like to resolve our outstanding defective repair of our Dishwasher. The initial repair was scheduled for May 15th 2015. The visit was quoted at $80.00 for an initial inspection. Once this was completed I was quoted $650.00 for the repair. After a brief consideration I informed the technician that due to the age of the machine, I would just replace the unit. He haggled and offered to complete the repair with minimal parts for $270.00 + tax. Initially I also declined, but then agreed. The repair was to fix Drain / Fill light error, PC charge and Rinse aid. Sceptical that the work would reduce from $650.00 to $300.00 I asked for and received a warranty on the completed work. The repair on the 15th enabled the machine to operate for 2 days. I e-mailed the main address two times after it the stopped working again. After no response to the e-mails, my assistant called and was advised that She must e mail a request for repairs.... My assistante stated that 2 e-mails had been sent, and this was verified. I was then asked to sign a warrenty document, or no return could be scheduled. Once completed the repair was scheduled for May 29th. The technitian came and replaced a part? But then stated to my assistant, that more parts are needed to be replaced. Can you please: 1. update me on the status of the machine.and repairs needed. Anticipated cost. 2. Provide the most recent parts removed to me 3. Decide if we can cancel the repair of the machine and pay only the initial call out fee of $80.00 - as the machine has been down 3 weeks since the initial repair and a replacement purchase is looking to be the best option for both parties.
