STAY AWAY! This letter was sent after a visit at the end of MAY. 5 attempts total to get a return visit after a maintenance call "fix" lasted two days.... $ 300+ later - I got no call and no assisstance. Dear Manager, Further to my telephone call today, Friday, Thursday and Wednesday. I would like to resolve our outstanding defective repair of our Dishwasher. The initial repair was scheduled for May 15th 2015. The visit was quoted at $80.00 for an initial inspection. Once this was completed I was quoted $650.00 for the repair. After a brief consideration I informed the technician that due to the age of the machine, I would just replace the unit. He haggled and offered to complete the repair with minimal parts for $270.00 + tax. Initially I also declined, but then agreed. The repair was to fix Drain / Fill light error, PC charge and Rinse aid. Sceptical that the work would reduce from $650.00 to $300.00 I asked for and received a warranty on the completed work. The repair on the 15th enabled the machine to operate for 2 days. I e-mailed the main address two times after it the stopped working again. After no response to the e-mails, my assistant called and was advised that She must e mail a request for repairs.... My assistante stated that 2 e-mails had been sent, and this was verified. I was then asked to sign a warrenty document, or no return could be scheduled. Once completed the repair was scheduled for May 29th. The technitian came and replaced a part? But then stated to my assistant, that more parts are needed to be replaced. Can you please: 1. update me on the status of the machine.and repairs needed. Anticipated cost. 2. Provide the most recent parts removed to me 3. Decide if we can cancel the repair of the machine and pay only the initial call out fee of $80.00 - as the machine has been down 3 weeks since the initial repair and a replacement purchase is looking to be the best option for both parties. read more

Don't let these guys any where near your home! They are the worst service company that I have dealt with in years. They start off good by quickly sending a tech to look at things. They do this to start the money grab, then their organization starts the process of letting you down. The tech states that my fridge needed a compressor and temperature setting components. Tech shows up with wrong parts. They sent the guy across the city. I felt bad for him. Tech comes back two days later with the right compressor, but tells me that I don't need the temperature setting components. He was wrong. I ended up having to toss out newly purchased food. I call to try to get this resolved. They won't send anyone until I sign a legal document/warranty notice (weasel move to ensure more billable parts/hours). I sign it and they book an appointment. Nobody showed up. I called for three days. They don't call back. I asked to speak with their company president and was told they don't have one. QuickFix Appliances couldn't get laid in a monkey whorehouse with a bag of bananas. I see on some complaints they mention new management. If you dig into their website registration you will see it has the same owner from a few years ago. They may have changed a manager, but this fish rots from the head first. read more

Charged me $661.00 to replace a motherboard. Days before Christmas, Sears coouldn't come. QuickFix made me give VISA over the phone to office. Bill not itemized, he said "good as new",but it still did not cool, so I called/emailed QuickFix for 4days. No answers. Repairman had called me from home so I called him on his cell. Boy, was he surprised!. He said fridge was NOT repairable, that there was a dangerous coolant leak, charged me another $98.00 "warranty doesn't cover this" and said to buy a Frigidaire. Sears, showed up, fixed it for $75, so I called BBB and bank , who agreed warranty not honoured and motherboard ($100) overcharged. NOW I find QuickFix have put a lien on my HOUSE ! read more

My Samsung washing machine's door lock wasn't working. I requested an appointment online at 8:30PM, giving them the model# and explaining the issue. I received a phone call at 8:30AM the next day to set up the appointment. The appointment was for same day between 12:00 and 4:00. The technicians arrived at 11:40 and had the part with them. They took about 30 minutes to complete the repair and cleaned out the drum for me while they were there. It cost quite a bit, but not much more than I was expecting ($189 labour plus the cost of the part). The extraordinarily quick service was well worth it. The part also came with a 6 month warranty and I was told to call if anything went wrong in that time. The technicians were very friendly and repaired my machine quickly. I was very happy with the service I received and would call again if I needed quick repairs. read more

DO NOT USE QUICK FIX APPLIANCES I had fridge door flap replaced on feb 3. Noticed immediately it was not properly closing. Called 3 x in feb left messages no return call. Finally talked to live person Mar 2 was assured someone would be out to look at it-no response. Called again Mar 7 again told same thing again no response. Called yet again Mar 16 no response. My husband then called Mar 18 finally got a manager Dennis said would have someone look at it. Emails sent between myself and manager in fact on Mar 24 he said he was personally going to booking dept. Again no response. I finally got a service date for apr 8 and have email stating they would honour warrant. Serviceman came out Apr 8 was not even in our house for 5 minutes and said installation is good part is defective not his problem. I said you guys ordered the part surely there must be warranty. We immediately called and emailed manager and were assured we would receive call back by end of day Apr 8. Again no response. I then emailed manager Dennis April 12 to only receive an email saying we broke the part. The part is fully in tact just not properly working. He then went on to say we are slamming door and opening door the wrong way. This is absolutely ridiculous. They would not provide anyone higher up pretty much said I am screwed. I paid $583 and called well within warranty deadline not my fault your company does not return calls. DO NOT USE QUICK FIX APPLIANCES. THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. We contacted The Quick Fix Repair Centre based upon their website ( http://www.quickfixappliances.ca/toronto-appliance-repair/contact/) claims that they: " provide service in Toronto & GTA, Cambridge, Barrie, Hamilton and Oshawa areas". They go on to claim that, "QuickFix Appliances ensures that all their technicians are fully-trained and highly skilled. Not just that, QuickFix makes sure that each technician is trained properly so that they can identify the problem quickly and get your appliance back up and running before you know it. The results speak for themselves. That is the QuickFix advantage!" Our experience is that Quick Fix is: --they are not a repair company, they are a call centre --they sent an unqualified, unlicensed technician --despite giving them the make, model and serial number, they claimed I was at fault for not providing enough information --they knew or ought to have known that the brand of stove and oven we identified was higher end and should have sent someone qualified to effect the repairs. They didn't ask the right questions, yet claimed to be experts in the repair of this brand -- when I balked at paying for their incompetence and passing themselves off as an appliance repair company they threatened collection proceedings despite the fact the technician they sent opened the oven door, looked in and said "I'm not licensed, the company will send someone out to fix it" --Quick Fix's response to this was that they didn't have a gas technician in our area despite their website claim and could not send someone out. They are not what the appear to be ie an appliance repair company as they claim, but a call centre relying on a contact list of technicians that may or may not be qualified. Avoid avoid avoid! Wish I read the reviews before calling them. They charge you for nothing, and then overcharge on top of that. My washer switch was broken. I found the part number online, called their dispatch with the model and the part number, booked an appointment since I figured why not let professionals do their job. Boy was I wrong. Their tech shows up without any parts. Tells me, "Hey, your [part number] is broken!" Says would cost $180 to replace, plus the part of course. Leaves $80+tax invoice JUST FOR SHOWING UP. They call it a "diagnostic fee". For what?! I already told them what was broken. Why show up if you don't have the part? So I order and install the part myself...literally takes 30 seconds (screw/unscrew type of thing, no need to move or open up the washer). They were going to charge $180 for 30 seconds of work! I also got scammed by this company. This is the very short version of my experience with this company. $250.00 later and the refrigerator was no different then when they came. Then they wanted $450.00 for new circuit board but would not charge for another service call to install. I cancelled the service call because for me to buy the circuit board was only $100.00.Then they wanted $90.00 for the cancelled service call that I wasn't suppose to be paying for in the first place. Tina of accounts payable is very rude and unprofessional to deal with. She needs some training with her listening skills. When I asked to speak with someone else I was hung up on. Don't even think about calling this company! Called them to repair a valve on my gas range. The technician they sent had no idea what he was doing. He installed replacement valve incorrectly first time. Returned and replaced correct part with wrong part the second time. Now say there is nothing more they can do. Left gas range with wrong valve incorrectly installed. And won't refund the $310 I paid. Had to get another company to make the repair...and took them only 30 minutes to fix the problem. Quickfix appliances is a rip off company! they go by at least 3 different names and Chris the tech that came to my house to fix my LG washer was a hoakster!! he got it going for the two minutes that he showed me and as soon as he walked out the door it stopped working. I called LG and they are not an authorized dealer. We attempted to call them back 4-5 times over the next several days and the woman that answered the phone just kept saying they would send him back but they didn't and then we asked for our money back and they didn't bother to respond so civil court here we come!! read more

The 'QuickFix' of my stove's problem took 20 minutes, cost me $200 (plus TAX), and the problem came back in less than 2 hours. And, to top it all, he asked to use my bathroom and left me with a clogged toilet! Their Customer Service is a mockery! Im not sure how my husband ended up contacting this company - he used a phone number from a well-reviewed Yelp business and it was somehow rerouted to this 1-star company. Unfortunately I wasnt home when the repair technician came (my parents let him in) and my husband didnt tell them that the compressor wasnt an issue when he first requested service (we were told by two separate people that the compressor was working fine before we called for service. Granted these 2 people are not certified LG technicians but they definitely know their way around household, electrical and appliance repairs). When I came home I found out that we had paid $289 plus tax for a "repair" on an item that wasnt broken. The fridge and freezer were still not cooling to proper temperatures. I contacted customer service at 4:45 pm and did not receive a call back. I sent the following message via the "contact us" button on their website. Lets see how long this will take to get resolved. "Your technician came in to repair my LG refrigerator yesterday, Jan 27th. He charged $289 plus tax to repair the compressor and it has not solved the issue. I called to follow up yesterday afternoon at 4:45 pm and did not receive a call back. Please contact me today to arrange a follow up appointment. I believe that the compressor was never the issue (the fridge and freezer were somewhat cold and was always blowing air - this had not stopped) and think that it needs a gas refill. I dont believe I should be charged the quoted $415 for the gas refill since the labour that was performed yesterday did not resolve my issue because the compressor had never been in need of repair. Absolutely the worst company. A total scam. STAY AWAY. I paid over $700 for getting the freezer for my SubZero fridge fixed. After 3 service calls, technician replaced 2 parts in the freezer, but broke the light switch and tried to charge for that too. After he left,the temperature in the freezer never stabilized, still fluctuates between 10 and 0 degrees and the service error code is still getting displayed. The company supposedly provides 30 day labor and 1 year parts warranty, but they refuse to come and address the problem and that's after multiple phone calls. Most likely one of the parts installed was defective. They are also refusing to provide a refund. Btw, the technician working on this was Alex S. A very confident guy who apparently had no ideas what he was doing. Awful company. read more

My daughter had just retuned from camp and, of course, my washer broke before we unloaded her duffels. Quick Fix seemed so great: responsive, fast. I was at physiotherapy when Chris the repairman called me to okay the "repair". I arrived home minutes after he left; the washer was still broken, so I called the company. I also wanted to communicate my upset that Chris, who did not call me again, had my nanny initial 6 places on his report about additional charges and notes should the washer still require repair (maybe he know that he hadn't actually repaired it for the $304.00 it cost me). The company would only allow a repairman to to return for an additional 623.45 before tax for a new motor (which turned out to be under warrantee). First they took advantage that I was not home- who makes a nanny initiation a document 6 times unless something is not kosher? Also, they tried to up-sell me a false cure. It tuned out to be the circuit board and I needed a new machine. Finally, they were unwilling to refund the cost of the repair even after I offered to pay for the visit, but asked to have the "repair" fee returned since it was not completed. read more

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Go elsewhere. They show up at my house. Nice enough. Seemed professional. I'm told it's a drainage issue. "Repairs" my dishwasher / says its fine. I pay him minimal charge - like $100 plus HST and he leaves. Later that same evening, same problem occurs. I call back next day and am told it will cost me another $100 to have a revisit. If a "real problem" is found on second visit - I wont be charged second $100 fee and here's how much part will cost. I don't like answer. The reply back is - that "customer service" will call me back to address my concerns. A week later I'm still waiting for that call. I subsequently called manufacturer up and got a recommended person to do the work - they'll be showing up today. Kissed my original $100 paid to Quickfix Toronto good bye. I contacted Quick fix to service my Bosch dishwasher in early April 2015. There was a problem with the door latch. A young, inexperienced boy came to the house, took my door off, could not find the serial number and scratched the front panel. I contacted the company and they said they would replace the panel free of charge. The second technician came but brought the wrong model. When the third technician came, he brought the correct panel and installed it. He also brought the part to fix the latch, after doing so he realized there was no problem with the latch at all, but that the child safety was on and just needed to be turned off. The first kid should have realized that from the beginning and saved everyone an enormous amount of time. I paid for the first visit on April 18th of $141.85. When the third technician, upon leaving, asked me for another payment of approximately $155.00 I did not give it to him, because I had already paid for the first visit which should have diagnosed the problem correctly, realizing it was simply the child safety switch and this additional expense was a result of their incompetence, of which I should not have to absorb. I told him I would call the company directly to clear up this matter. I spoke to a lady at Quick Fix who told me that she would forward my complaint and get back to me. I never heard from them again until October (6 months later). I received 2 voice mails from the company regarding an outstanding balance. I returned both calls, but did not hear back from anyone. On October 26th I received a letter from Central Credit Control (Ms. Tomkinson saying that I owe $155.28. I contacted this company immediately and they told me that they have been hired by Quick Fix to collect. I told her I paid them, sent her a copy of the VISA charge. Received no response from her for over a week, so I called again and she said that I had to pay the outstanding amount which was for the new door latch (there I never needed). I said that I would call Quick Fix directly to sort this out and she communicated to me that they would not return my calls. What kind of company sends something to collections without speaking to the customer first to clear up the matter, jeopardizes that persons credit rating, for a mistake they made? I have tried contacting Quick Fix for the last week and have sent emails and left voice mails and have still received no response. read more

WARNING! - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. On a scale of 1 to 10, they are a sold -9. This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. My sub zero fridge stopped working and was told it would cost $ 942 for the repair and part. I had to put a 50% down payment on the part. They told me the part needed to be ordered and I would be called when it arrived. Then freezer failed and we called them to let them know for the return service call. The part finally arrived but was not informed. It took for us to call and inquire. When the service guy showed up, he had no idea about the freezer issue. He gave us a quote to repair the freezer and let us know we could get a refund on the fridge part but had to pay for the two service calls. We agreed to that but when we called for the refund we were directed to customer service, who ONLY responds to email. I was refused to be spoken to regarding this issue. Once these guys have your money, they treat you like crap. Customer service is poor, company is dishonest, MOVE on!!! read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. I have a clothes dryer and the door latch broke. Quick Fix Appliance sent out a repairman after I gave them the make and model number of the appliance. He literally took of the whole top of the dryer, the door and several other parts of the dryer. His conclusion was that they sent him the wrong part. He left, leaving the dryer dismantled but he would get the right part and be back. After a week and many unreturned phone calls to them their parts department phone and said the part was no longer available and that the hinges of the dryer door had also been damaged and could not be fixed. There is a lot more to the incident but I'm going to make it short. I phoned another company by the name of Appliance Repair Guys. They sent a man out by the name of Tony. He put the dryer back together and had the dryer working in about 1/2 hour albeit the dooor had to be kept shut with duct tape. A few day later he returned with the right latch and now the dryer is running like new. Stay away from Quick fix Appliance. Their customer service department, parts department and repairman were totally inefficient, irresponsible and unreceptive. read more
