Rv water and dump station
Ginny S.

Mile post # 74 rest stop for Sycamore has plenty of parking available. There are places for stretching your legs so you can continue your travel comfortably. It also has a rv station for dump and fresh water.

Good place to stop to stretch our legs and use the rest rooms. It's shaded, has lots of parking, and the bathrooms are clean. There are vending machines, if you need something to eat or drink.

Another fabulous rest area along I-75 in Georgia, this one is about 45 miles south of the last and is halfway between Macon and Valdosta. While it doesn't have the same perpendicular parking area, it does have a good turn to slow down the traffic as it comes in. There is room for a lot of trucks - I'd guess upwards of 60. Clean restrooms, several different vending machines (ice cream!) and shaded parking. If the rest area is patrolled by security, I couldn't tell. Easy acceleration ramp back onto the highway. Wide and easy turn, flat road. Super. [Review 16710 overall - 481 in Georgia - 222 of 2022.]

This is a great rest stop and it's very big one with lots of room to get out and stretch your legs or experience some of the amenities here, now understand this is a very basic rest area so keep things in perspective and keep your expectations in check but it is a nice and well maintained. It offered me the perfect opportunity to take a break from the drive and the spacious truck parking allowed plenty of space to do one of my required safety inspections of the RV and Toad - this task is one I'm obsessed with and that I do religiously. I typical do a complete walk around looking at the tires, lights and tow bar as well as the components attached to the RV, storage compartment doors, awnings, air conditioners etc. and the undercarriage including all three exhaust (diesel engine, diesel generator and diesel aqua-hot boiler and leveling jacks. I always try and conduct one of these inspections before the sunsets so this location provided a great opportunity to get it done before dark which provides confidence to continue the trip. There weren't very many travelers here today which was surprising with the amount of traffic on the highway, but I suspect a lot of the vehicles were commuting between work and home trying to get home before dinner or a cocktail the pace they were running. I took the time to grab a snack and a drink here as well, the large trucking parking area provided some privacy and a peaceful setting to relax for a few minutes as the sun sank - Is was really quite which I sure changes dramatically depending on the time of day or night you stop. This state does a nice job with these roadside oasis's for the most part in my experience...

It's surprisingly clean and updated too. It's a no frills rest area off I-75. It's about an hour away north from Valdosta. Valdosta is the last city in Georgia before the Florida border.
