This is a self-serve vegan place which I highly recommend in Prague! Their salad bar is insane with all the fix-ins you could possibly want. Their hot food is delicious with a lot of variety. Definitely try their soy creamy dressing it is simple yet delicious. Plus you get as much food as you want at a decent price!

Nice vegetarian restaurant with take-away. Not that much to choose from - you pick your dish yourself and then weigh the total. It goes quick to get and pay your food. They accept card (visa). Dining area is clean and ok but not especially cozy in anyway. You go here to eat cheap and fast.

I first came to Country Life - a food court style veggie place - in 2008, when - as far as I know - it was the only vegetarian option in town. Me and my wife were kind of tired of all the meat and just wanted to explore other options. This was mentioned in our guide book, and it was tucked into a corner right near the old square. We found it tasty and refreshing then, and it's not changed much since. A couple of days ago, I decided to go full vegetarian. I could probably have timed it better as Prague still doesn't quite "get" vegetarians. If you don't go to a dedicated vegetarian place, your options are mostly "something with cheese all over it" and people are not aware of calf rennet, so you have to assume that if it's got cheese, it ain't truly vegetarian. SO! Nice to come to Country Life! Where all the options are vegetarian, and quite a few are vegan! You get a tray and some plates and start loading up, anything from beetroot chunks to buckwheat roast via tofu casseroles and veggie pizzas. Most things are simply weighed at the till and off you pop to s table to eat it all. It couldn't be much simpler, though it's sometimes a bit difficult to know exactly what you're eating. They have a good variety of food, and even if you take small portions, you'd be hard pressed to try everything in one sitting, unless you're insanely hungry. The food court style isn't for everyone, and it's not an inviting place to sit for a long time and enjoy yourself, but for a quick lunch it's tasty, reasonable and fully vegetarian! Recommended!

I had the roasted BBQ ribs with roasted potatoes and coleslaw, a glass of the homemade sencha rose kombucha, and a piece of GF chocolate cake with raspberries. The food was great. The "ribs" didn't really look like ribs but had a meaty tenderness which was really good once I got used to it (I've had real ribs maybe once in my life and didn't enjoy it - this was way better). The kombucha was a little sweeter than I was expecting but tasted great - I could taste the sencha. It was a little expensive, but to be fair, the ribs were one of the more expensive dishes and were probably still less expensive than real ribs of the same quality. Friendly service. The waiters spoke English. The food took a reasonable amount of time to come out after I ordered. The kitchen closes from 4-5:30, and I showed up around 3:45 for a very early dinner, and I appreciated that they could accommodate me and cook my meal even thought it took them a few minutes past 4.

Other rooms had more of a forest theme. Evidently this is a popular place. I didn't make a reservation, but they told me I could have a table for 1h15 which was plenty of time since the service was timely. I had the grilled broccoli with Jerusalem artichoke puree for my entree and the "snickers" bar for dessert. The broccoli dish was simple but tasty and surprisingly filling for a plate of nothing besides cooked vegetables. The broccoli and carrot were cooked perfectly with crispy caramelized edges and the artichoke puree was delicious. I wouldn't really recommend this dish for anyone skeptical about vegetarian/vegan food, but it's great if you love vegetables, and there are other dishes on the menu that will appeal to those who want something more substantial. I initially didn't plan on dessert but was glad I decided to get something because the snickers bar was delightful. I also had a beetroot lemonade that I enjoyed. It's a little expensive, but I felt like I got what you paid for both in the quality of the food and overall experience.

We truly enjoyed every single item that we ordered. The house made bread was so delicious. It was the most expensive meal I had in Prague, and while the food was good, for these prices, I expect to either be really impressed by the food or to have particularly special service or ambiance. Because I didn't have a reservation, I was seated in the entry hallway; the ambiance may be a little nicer in the downstairs dining room. I had the spinach tagliatelle, tiramisu, and a lime iced tea. I thought the candied walnuts in the pasta were interesting and I really liked the dish. The tiramisu was good but not a standout, though I liked how the bitterness of the espresso came through. Lime iced tea was pretty sweet and more lime than tea, but it was nice even if it wasn't what I expected. If you don't care too much about prices, this is a good place, I just think there are comparatively good Italian restaurants at a better price if you go a little further from the major tourist areas.

The only thing is, it's a bit of a small restaurant so you either have to make a reservation or happen to show up at a time when there's a table available. I ordered the quesadillas and a Virgin Mojito made with green tea. The quesadillas were yummy! They came with a side of salsa that had the perfect (if not more) amount of kick, and some sour cream. In Europe, apparently quesadillas aren't finger food so I was trying to cut mine with the knife, and ended up struggling quite a bit. I think my knife wasn't sharp enough, but I didn't bother asking for a new one since I was already almost finished. So be wary of the blunt knives. The Virgin Mojito was very good! They used green tea instead of the rum, and my aunt said it still tasted like a regular Mojito because of the amount of lime and mint used. Plus, it came with a handy metal straw that wouldn't let all the mint and lime go up the straw when you took a sip. Perfect refreshing drink if you're not looking for something alcoholic!

It really stands out as a place that takes traditional flavors seriously while making them accessible and enjoyable for plant-based diners. You can tell a lot of care goes into the recipes, and it feels true to Czech cuisine rather than just "veganized" for the sake of it. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and the quality of the food. I didn't feel like I was overpaying at all, which is always a huge plus in a popular city like Prague. One of the highlights for me was the coconut lemonade--it was so unique and refreshing, and not something you see on most menus. It balanced sweetness and flavor really well and paired nicely with the meal. I tried the lasagna, which was flavorful and well-made, though it was a bit heavy overall. That said, the zucchini in it was sliced incredibly well, adding a nice texture and showing real attention to detail in the preparation. It made the dish feel more refined even if it was filling. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, Vegan's Prague is a solid choice for anyone looking for good vegan food, fair prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
