    Pea cream soup
    Matt B.

Extremely high-quality, all-vegan cuisine with lots of creativity and care. I came here for dinner on a Monday evening around 8pm and it was pretty quiet. Their menu is pretty expansive, with all sorts of creative dishes, all very reasonably priced (most mains are below 200 Ck, or about €8). To start, I ordered their "Pea cream" soup, which comes with garlic mousse, radishes and sprouts, a pretty decadent but sublime concoction that is creamy, filling, but not too heavy. For my main, I ordered the beer-based soy goulash. This has to be one of the best plant-based goulashes I've had. The base is quite strongly dark beer-flavoured, which I love, is served with a pungent horseradish that complements the goulash perfectly, and 4 "dumplings" (which were basically just white bread to soak up the goulash). Divine, rich and hearty. Not the best dish for getting in your veggies, but very satisfying overall. Service was very friendly, with good English spoken. Highly recommended. One of my highlight meals in Prague.

Moment advertises as being the oldest vegan bistro in Prague, but they should also boast of being the best vegan restaurant that serves authentic, traditional Czech food. With a variety of menu for breakfast/brunch, traditional food and drinks (including beer on tap), as well as desserts, it's near impossible for anyone to not find something they like. Wanting to try the veganized versions of traditional Czech food, we ordered the mushroom pate and the dumplings. We also got the loaded fries because it was recommended. Of the three items we ordered, my favorite was by far the dumplings. The bread was super soft, and the "meat" was unbelievably meaty with different textures that you would expect from a well-cooked meat! The seasoning and flavor was also on point, with a mix of savory and a little bit of sweetness from the root vegetables, cranberries, and whipped cream. I was sad that I was too full for dessert, because I knew that they must be delicious based on what I ate there. With wonderful service and food as well as super cheap price (three plates, a bottle of sparkling water, and 500ml of draft beer came out to be less than $20 USD), I will certainly visit this establishment again the next time I am in Prague!

Staff is always very nice and welcoming. The vegan food is one of the best in Prague along with Palo Verde and the desserts also in Share Sweet Bar. Anežka Honců bakes really amazing and tasty cakes and desserts. The atmosphere is cozy, nice lighting and plants that you can buy now. It's so much better than it was a long time ago. Great start in Palo Verde, and I would like to see more of these amazing businesses. Also I would love to see serving breakfasts all day. I can only recommend.

There's a tasty enchilada in there somewhere!

This is the place that "kind of almost" made me a vegetarian without any kind of sacrifice. I thought of vegetarian dishes more or less like they were just a lot of "sides" without the actual center of the meal. At least at Moment, this is absolutely not the case. While I am not the biggest fan of their Saturday-Veggie-English-Breakfast offer, I do love their daily lunch menus, soups and burgers. There is always only one daily main meal but the variety is amazing and although I have been there very often already, I have never had a meal twice. Should you not like what's on offer you can go for their daily burger (with the most amazing country potatoes) or a large version of their daily soup. They are also good for snacks (sandwiches, quiches etc), coffee and cake (as far as I remember, all of them gluten-free, just FYI if you're into that). I have not been to any other vegetarian place with better or even comparable food. There is only one little issue with the place. A lot of the staff and the guests are so tattoo'ed that I feel like getting ink'ed as well - just to fit in. No, all joking aside, the people in there are totally cool, as is the music and the general vibe! Tip: Check the fridge behind the counter for various amazing tonic waters, juices, colas and lemonades that haven't quite managed to make their way into the menu!

Bagel with seitan, cheese, and fried potatoes

Very nice staff and tasty food. I ordered the bagel with seitan and cheese with fried potatoes and it was delicious. Their wifi is fast and there is tons of space to plop down and get some work done. The cafe is located next to a nice park so it's a nice place to spend some time. Only complaint is that the sandwich is huge and chunky so it's a bit difficult to hold and eat. I had to resort to fork and knife.

    The shawarma! Delicious!

I really liked this cafe. Their food was good and very affordable. I paid 440-450 for 2 ginger teas, a harrisa soup, a smoke burger w/ additional fries and a shawarma. All pretty good. My girlfriend and I had to take home some of it so we certainly got full. I'd definitely get the shawarma and the soup again. The burger was a little on the dry side for me. Overall great little place for drinks and a meal. The staff was also friendly even once they found out I was from America..

Great vegan food with a crazy variety - the coffee is a bit hit and miss...but still a nice place to sit with plenty of natural sunlight. I've had problems with the wifi so will probably prioritise this place for book reading or social outings! I just ate the coconut donut and it was incredible though. 3.5 stars but you know I can't give half stars so I'll be generous with 4.

Amazing chocolate coffee rum cake and almond milk latte.

Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Dog friendly. Fast Wi-Fi. Delicious food, cake and coffee. I would definitely eat at Moment again and would 5/5 recommend to friends and family.

The veggie burger was amazing and so was the quesadilla too. Great place with great options and awesome atmosphere. Opens until 21:00 :)

    Great food and service

Delicious food, many vegan options and not expensive. But it's a bit tricky to eat there as they close earlier than other restaurants.

After a less than stellar with a meat-alternative traditional Czech dish at another Prague…read morerestaurant, I didn't have high expectations for Maitrea. I decided I would try it anyway because it was in the area and had such good reviews, and I'm so glad I did! The transitional dish I opted for this time was the svíčková, some kind of soy meat cutlet topped with cranberry sauce, whipped cream, and some kind of creamy sauce covering the whole thing. Bread dumplings came with it, which were perfect for soaking up that creamy sauce. I'm not really sure how to describe what it tasted like as it was unlike anything I've ever eaten, but it was all flavorful, rich, and delicious! The whipped cream seemed especially random to me, but it was unsweetened so it wasn't actually too out of place. The meat alternative that was used was not too spongy, which often is the case with soy-based products. The ambiance is very cozy - I sat downstairs but it didn't feel like I was in a basement at all. No complaints about service either, and I appreciated that you could pay via the QR code at your table so I didn't have to worry about flagging a waitress down for the check. All in all a great experience and if I'm ever in Prague again, I will be back!

The dish had stewed veggies, a lot of spices and flavour and was served with horseradish dumplings and bread. Most of the tables around me had ordered Aperol Spritz, and I ordered the same, it was so good! Are you even on vacation if you don't drink Aperol/ Mai Tai?! Maitrea serves local delicacies as well as other vegetarian cuisines to fit everyone's palate. My vegetarian/ vegan friends, definitely give this place a try!

It is off a quiet side street down a clean and safe-feeling but still mysterious alley - like its location is a secret. Our reservation was for 6:30 pm and they asked if we thought we'd be done by 8:00 - probably so we wouldn't see the next party taking our table and they wouldn't see us. Let's keep the all the info secure - that's what's best for everyone. If the omnivores find out about this place, the fate of the whole known universe could be at risk. What if everyone wanted to eat at vegetarian restaurants? Crazy, right? VIPs like our family (ha!) sit in the Blue Heaven room where the tables are fire. Seriously- they light up and glow like flaming wood logs with a starry sky above. Even the greatest sorcerers from history would be impressed. Love the theming. Magical. We began our meal with the Small Clear Head starter, featuring "Tofuie Gras", hummus and guacamole. The hummus and guac were both excellent- but the star of the show was the fake foie gras. This is a vegetarian restaurant- no geese were harmed yet the texture was perfect, the taste convincing and the mix with the jelly divine. Wowsa. Loved this dish. I also really enjoyed my Bao Bun Burger. I was going to do the Spinach Chimney but diverted at the last minute because I'd overdosed on this trip on potatoes already, and au gratin was more than I could handle. My daughter liked her Stir-Fry Noodles. My wife was indifferent on her Parmesan Pleasure Burger but I think she was jealous of my Bao Bun. We skipped dessert. Beyond just the wonderful food, there was so much about this restaurant that felt fun, interesting and surprising. Including the bathroom. Behind the toilet there's an opening to a dark empty space - it is truly a creepy void. What's back there? There's also a very old door with a bone-chilling stair down to a dark cellar. What's down there? What about upstairs - what happens there? More mysteries. There's magic in the air at Lekha Hlava Clear Head Restaurant. It is worth a visit, for vegetarians and omnivores too.

The only thing is, it's a bit of a small restaurant so you either have to make a reservation or happen to show up at a time when there's a table available. In Europe, apparently quesadillas aren't finger food so I was trying to cut mine with the knife, and ended up struggling quite a bit. I think my knife wasn't sharp enough, but I didn't bother asking for a new one since I was already almost finished. So be wary of the blunt knives. The Virgin Mojito was very good! They used green tea instead of the rum, and my aunt said it still tasted like a regular Mojito because of the amount of lime and mint used. Plus, it came with a handy metal straw that wouldn't let all the mint and lime go up the straw when you took a sip. Perfect refreshing drink if you're not looking for something alcoholic!
