Oh my god, this place is perfect!! I learned about this place from its sister restaurant, which is also some of my favorite food in Prague, Palo Verde Bistro. However Moment Bistro exceeded even my very high expectations. This dish was absolutely delectable -- the oyster mushrooms were perfect and everything worked together so well. Extremely high-quality, all-vegan cuisine with lots of creativity and care. I came here for dinner on a Monday evening around 8pm and it was pretty quiet. Their menu is pretty expansive, with all sorts of creative dishes, all very reasonably priced (most mains are below 200 Ck, or about €8). To start, I ordered their "Pea cream" soup, which comes with garlic mousse, radishes and sprouts, a pretty decadent but sublime concoction that is creamy, filling, but not too heavy. For my main, I ordered the beer-based soy goulash. This has to be one of the best plant-based goulashes I've had. The base is quite strongly dark beer-flavoured, which I love, is served with a pungent horseradish that complements the goulash perfectly, and 4 "dumplings" (which were basically just white bread to soak up the goulash). Divine, rich and hearty. Not the best dish for getting in your veggies, but very satisfying overall. Service was very friendly, with good English spoken. Highly recommended. Moment advertises as being the oldest vegan bistro in Prague, but they should also boast of being the best vegan restaurant that serves authentic, traditional Czech food. With a variety of menu for breakfast/brunch, traditional food and drinks (including beer on tap), as well as desserts, it's near impossible for anyone to not find something they like. Wanting to try the veganized versions of traditional Czech food, we ordered the mushroom pate and the dumplings. We also got the loaded fries because it was recommended. Of the three items we ordered, my favorite was by far the dumplings. The bread was super soft, and the "meat" was unbelievably meaty with different textures that you would expect from a well-cooked meat! The seasoning and flavor was also on point, with a mix of savory and a little bit of sweetness from the root vegetables, cranberries, and whipped cream. I was sad that I was too full for dessert, because I knew that they must be delicious based on what I ate there. With wonderful service and food as well as super cheap price (three plates, a bottle of sparkling water, and 500ml of draft beer came out to be less than $20 USD), I will certainly visit this establishment again the next time I am in Prague! read more

Staff is always very nice and welcoming. The vegan food is one of the best in Prague along with Palo Verde and the desserts also in Share Sweet Bar. Anežka Honců bakes really amazing and tasty cakes and desserts. The atmosphere is cozy, nice lighting and plants that you can buy now. It's so much better than it was a long time ago. Great start in Palo Verde, and I would like to see more of these amazing businesses. Also I would love to see serving breakfasts all day. I can only recommend. read more

This is the place that "kind of almost" made me a vegetarian without any kind of sacrifice. I thought of vegetarian dishes more or less like they were just a lot of "sides" without the actual center of the meal. At least at Moment, this is absolutely not the case. While I am not the biggest fan of their Saturday-Veggie-English-Breakfast offer, I do love their daily lunch menus, soups and burgers. There is always only one daily main meal but the variety is amazing and although I have been there very often already, I have never had a meal twice. Should you not like what's on offer you can go for their daily burger (with the most amazing country potatoes) or a large version of their daily soup. They are also good for snacks (sandwiches, quiches etc), coffee and cake (as far as I remember, all of them gluten-free, just FYI if you're into that). I have not been to any other vegetarian place with better or even comparable food. There is only one little issue with the place. A lot of the staff and the guests are so tattoo'ed that I feel like getting ink'ed as well - just to fit in. No, all joking aside, the people in there are totally cool, as is the music and the general vibe! Tip: Check the fridge behind the counter for various amazing tonic waters, juices, colas and lemonades that haven't quite managed to make their way into the menu! read more

First of all for the record, I have been "vegan" for the last 7 months. I always appreciate places like this because it makes traveling and maintaining my new lifestyle so much easier, for that they get 1 star Food: nothing special here I had the tofu scramble and waffles. I felt it was a bit dry and flavorless. The only thing that was on point was the coffee. I had the Café latte very yummy! Service: think twice if you wear anything that looks like fur or leather. I don't judge people who eat meat or wear products that may have animal fur but I choose not to wear them personally. My girlfriend and I walked in and right away were stopped and asked if her "fur" was real... can I say AWKWARD! I seriously felt silly because I looked around and everyone had "fur" on their coats. I would think that one would have the common sense not to wear "real fur" if they were going to a vegan restaurant. What a drag! The vibe changed and from that point on we got the stink eye from the young lady with the dreadlocks. I'm willing to forgive but I want an apology, she really made us feel unwelcome. We are American and we travel around the world and up until this point Czech Republic was top notch (it still is because this was a vegan thing not so much a cultural thing) Service: our dude was really cool, he was polite and offered some suggestions that gives this place 1 star for him! He received a very generous tip for that (way to save the day buddy!!) Location: nothing special about it, it's a vegan spot very trendy but I'm from LA so most places look like this back home. Love love love this vegan cafe! I had the seitan bagel and a hot chocolate. Would recommend both! This was such a nice vegan find in Prague, and love that they have so many delicious vegan options. Perfect for breakfast as well! I only wish that I had tried this place sooner on my trip to Prague so that I could try everything on the menu! LOVE this vegan spot in Prague. It's a bit off the beaten path, we couldn't find it when we looked for it at night, but we found it the next day for lunch. It seems like a local spot that welcomes tourists. There were locals eating and drinking and singing on one side of the restaurant complete with a puppy to bless us all. The menu has enough options. I got the cesar salad with tofu, it was delicious, I also got a mushroom and pea risotto- that was even better. I didn't need both dishes, I took most of my risotto home. My friend got the hot dog and french fries, it was an entire plate full. I would LOVE to revisit this spot if I ever get back to Prague. read more

Very nice staff and tasty food. I ordered the bagel with seitan and cheese with fried potatoes and it was delicious. Their wifi is fast and there is tons of space to plop down and get some work done. The cafe is located next to a nice park so it's a nice place to spend some time. Only complaint is that the sandwich is huge and chunky so it's a bit difficult to hold and eat. I really liked this cafe. Their food was good and very affordable. I paid 440-450 for 2 ginger teas, a harrisa soup, a smoke burger w/ additional fries and a shawarma. All pretty good. My girlfriend and I had to take home some of it so we certainly got full. I'd definitely get the shawarma and the soup again. The burger was a little on the dry side for me. This is absolutely the best place to eat in Prague. In Europe, maybe! My friend and I did our study abroad in Prague and at the start of our trip, we would come once a week, but by the end, we were there 3x a week -- because what was the point of going anywhere else? LOVE this place. In the heart of a residential area, far from all the annoying tourists and high prices that come with them exists this amazing restaurant café which is super vegan friendly. It offers a large hipster-like space, very suitable for work and an even larger selection of both vegan food AND deserts. Wonderful vegan cakes- i had an awesome chocolate mousse and cream cake- superb. Prices are very affordable, maybe a bit higher than normal for the Czech republic, but super affordable indeed. Will definitely go again if in Prague and it's definitely worth the trip to a more remote part of the city. Also, free wifi and good service. read more

You don't have to be vegan to enjoy the food here. I tried the "scrambled eggs and bacon" on a bagel. The eggs were well seasoned and the texture was nice. The "bacon" was an unexpected interpretation made from pickled coconut flakes - surprisingly tasty. The desserts are amazing. Service was nice and the atmosphere is very casual if sparse. Mmmmm.... Very, very good vegan food!! I have allergies to eggs, dairy, and nuts, so naturally when our family visited Prague, eating at this vegan bistro was on our food bucket list. When we told the waitress about my allergies, she was very kind and helped find food that would be safe for me. Czech restaurants are required to have a certain (very organized) allergen system, where common allergies are assigned numbers, and if a dish contains the allergen, the number will be placed next to it. Make sure to ask for the list, it is extremely helpful!! (US could take a leaf out of Czech Republic's book!) :) I had the veggie burger, which had a lentil patty, sliced vegetables, soyennaise (vegan mayonnaise, actually pretty good!) and, beware, peanut sauce! They will graciously remove it if you ask them, as well as other components. It ended up being AMAZING and I HAD to order another one because it was so good. My brother had the corn quesadilla, which he thought was really, really good, and both my parents had the bean and thyme soup (Note: on the weekly menu, not regular one) which they both raved about, my father saying that it was the best vegan food he has had (and we have had a LOT of vegan food!) Finally, I decided to indulge myself (I had walked a lot that day!) by having a slice of the chocolate and raspberry cake, which was, no surprise, awesome! We decided to order some more desserts to go for our flight back home- the gingerbread cookies, lemon thyme cookies, chai latte cookies, blueberry muffin, and a brownie, which all look scrumptious. Good service and fantastic ambiance inside. They even have a little play corner in the back for children. I was always happy with my meal, but since I lived in the US I'm used to a bit more adventurous and powerful taste in vegan meals. The portions are quite large, and the prices are good, but it seems the chefs there are certainly taking it easy on the herbs and spices, which made my meal (Barley with salad) too bland. As someone who has been vegetarian for a long time I understand that many like this simple style more, but for me I just wanted some more kick with my meal. But then again I like my food very spicy which is nearly impossible to find in Czech. Overall I'd say it is quite good, and I will come back when in the area, but I'd like for them to just spice it up a bit more. read more
