I couldn't read the German Menu but the platter had the basic staples I remember from Ethiopia and Ethiopian Restaurants in San Francisco. Shiro Yellow Lentils, Doro Wat Chicken, Doro Tibs (lamb), Spinach, Hard Boiled Eggs, plus some salad and potato salad. The dishes were low on spice to appeal to what seems to be the local German preference but I would have preferred to really feel more spicy heat from the Bereberi Spices. The restaurant has nice ambiance and the service was friendly if also a bit slow since it was a busy Saturday night. All our meals were the same- rice, plantains, and little pockets of veg fried in phyllo dough. The difference was the sauces. I got peanut, my husband got tomato, and our friend got okra. All three were delicious. Tangy, savory and all three very different and flavorful. The plantains were caramelized and the veg pockets were crisp. The hot sauce for the table was also good. We also got a little of the "African Woman's Little Secret" as a digestive. A ginger liqueur that we absolutely loved and was a great end to a great meal. Highly recommend.
