After ordering drinks took awhile but then food quickly followed. The food was not great, and didn't always follow what was listed on the menu. The Salade Nicoise was tasty with great fresh tuna and a warm salad of potato and green beans. However, the cordon bleu which we got to share between my husband and one kid was terrible! It had soggy frozen vegetables as a side and a cordon bleu that seemed mass produced, what an embarrassment especially at 46 CHF! Then the lemon ricotta ravioli was anything but - the menu said it had burrata, lemon and mint and instead it was a bland cream disaster with arugula on top. Absolutely no lemon or mint flavor whatsoever. We mentioned to the server that we were disappointed with the food and her response was "oh" and that was it.

Ksanet, Bianka and Rui were amazing in their own rights and definitely were humans first and Lumiere employees second and forth. Not only did they serve us but gave us a few moments from their tight schedules to walk us through about how we could make use of a Sunday ( Switzerland for the most part is closed on Sunday's and we were not prepared for that :( ). These folks had some amazing suggestions to make through and through and helped us a lot with our questions about Switzerland and travels in general. The ambiance was stunning and the place was packed and had moderate amount of noise in there attributing to the conversations. The interiors were pretty amazing and well thought out and depicted the history of Lumiere. We ordered a side salad, octopus with sliced potatoes, tuna tartare on avocado bed and for dessert we got ourselves the lime tart. The octopus dish was outstanding just like the tuna tartare where we enjoyed every bite slowly. The salad was put together very well and the dessert topped it all off to call it an evening. This place definitely should definitely be in your list to visit in Zurich and given its proximity to Zurich HB it's an easy decision to make ( even if you had to come out of your way to grab a bite here it will be so well worth it).

I ordered the soup "du jour" i.e. the soup of the day. It was a pumpkin soup, which was delicious. The main course was a skewer of monkfish accompanied by 2 prawns, vegetables and potatoes. In my opinion they should have left out the two prawns as only their short tail was edible. I liked very much the fish and the vegetables, but the potatoes were a little mushy. The dessert pear Belle Hélène was a nice conclusion of the dinner. The three course dinner came at around 40€, water and a glass of wine included. I will definitely return, but next time I will probably try one of the meat dishes.
