While it looked a bit too big and artificial to be authentic, the appearances were misleading, and it was actually a really great place. We were able to grab a seat pretty fast and enjoy the selection of high-quality beers (Hirsch) and cocktails they had available. The food that came shortly after was great - from the baked pork shoulder to spätzle, the food was simple, but filling and highly enjoyable. Both the external terrace and the internal sitting space are tastefully decorated and are quite relaxing. The staff is friendly and the overall impression of being deep in the mountains was actually extremely relaxing. It's a great location - we would be glad to stop there again in the future and I can but recommend it if you are in the region for a hike already.

The menu is quite large, but there is typically a lot of variety in Greek food in Greece, too, so no problem. The house wine is good. Also, there's a lot of outdoor seating in a nice garden / patio, which is quite a great experience. The food is delicious.. I can't seem to get enough of their tzaziki with a few extra orders of pita bread.. and of the several main meat dishes we've tried, we have never been disappointed. The people there have always been very courteous and pleasant. It's a nice place to go whenever you're having a craving for really decent greek food.

We finished with light desserts, she had the pineapple carpaccio with raspberry sorbet which was light and delicious. I had the orange sorbet which was very light in sugar content but had great flavor. Staff was attentive and very patient as we took our sweet time ordering because the four of us were talking. Ambiance was terrific, felt like a true representation of an Alsatian restaurant. Would recommend.
