Not only does this wine bar have the most extensive by-the-glass list I found anywhere in Santiago, they are also one of only two wine bars that keeps all of their wines in a temperature controlled area (very important--as most places don't have AC in Chile). All of the food I had was great--but my top favorites were the applewood smoked salmon, the loco plate, and the short ribs. I really enjoyed being able to try new wines from small, boutique producers in Chile (this is something you can only do in a few places in Santiago) and get recommendations from the really knowledgeable owner as well as the fact that they include a little tag on each glass so that you can keep track of what each wine in front of you is, if you do a flight of half glasses of wine like I did. The two best places for wines-by-the-glass and the best selection of wines from smaller producers are Bocanariz and Barrica94. No wine lover should leave Santiago without visiting both of these places.

We opted to sit inside in the nicely air conditioned upstairs space. It was a cool (pun intended) spot within the restaurant, even without a view of the Plaza. We had a bit of a language barrier as we did not speak Spanish and our server didn't speak English, but we got through and ordered some delicious food. We started our meal with the empanada sampler and I wish I could have another right now. It was delicious! Each one was different and spectacular in its own way. Definitely order this dish. For our meal, I had the crab lasagna and my friend had a fish that I can't remember the name, but it came with a potato salad. We were both very pleased. Bonus of free WiFi while you dine. We had the Mongoliana a la Chilena lunch special and the Sopa de Puerro (seasonal). They were both delicious and perfect for a light lunch.
