We stumbled upon this charming little restaurant in old town Colmar, run by a family, dad, mom…read more(cook), daughter and son. The son was our server, and he was so charming, friendly and sweet. Best food for our table were a variety of tagine dishes, from chicken to lamb to vegetarian. Paired with delicious couscous. Overall, I would definitely come back to this little Moroccan gem. Great food at very decent price.

We made a reservation for 20h and arrived early. We were seated early, gratefully, to get out of…read morethe cold. We quickly ordered and were quickly brought our 1/2 liter of wine. And then an hour passes without food. And then 3 tables that arrived after us received their food. And then finally someone acknowledges that our food is coming soon. But it doesn't. And then a waitress says 5 minutes. It's been 15 minutes. It's been an hour and a half. Still no food. For the amount of money we're paying this is absurd. It's absurd regardless of the cost. The food ended up being delicious, and we devoured it in about 10 minutes given we waited so long. I speak very little French but did my best to communicate to the staff that we had waited well over an hour and asked politely if perhaps the wine could be comped/free. The French couple next to us agreed. Alas, for whatever reason we could not be comped and instead was offered mint tea. No thanks.

L'atmosphère chaleureuse est tout autant dans l'assiette que dans le décor où les entrelacs blancs du bar se reflètent dans les rosaces du plafond et les mosaïques aux murs invitent au dépaysement. En prime l'accueil sympathique et convivial de la Baraka plonge les convives pour la soirée ou la pause-déjeuner dans un monde où le soleil ne brille pas que dans le ciel.
