We stumbled upon this charming little restaurant in old town Colmar, run by a family, dad, mom…read more(cook), daughter and son. The son was our server, and he was so charming, friendly and sweet. Best food for our table were a variety of tagine dishes, from chicken to lamb to vegetarian. Paired with delicious couscous. Overall, I would definitely come back to this little Moroccan gem. Great food at very decent price.

This place has a great interior, and I've only seen the area in the ground floor (there's another…read moreroom downstairs). Outside seating is also available and quite nice in the evening. Their menu looks ok, but we only went there for drinks, so I cannot say anything about the taste. The funny thing was we went there at about 11 pm, and all tables but one were free. It began getting chilly outside so we sat down inside - but were asked to take a seat outside because "inside for dining only". Wow, were they expecting a bus load of hungry tourists at this time? OK let's sit outside. Then we experienced the biggest backdraw of this place: Everything takes ages. To get the menu. To get someone to ask you what you want. To get your order (a coffee and a mint tea). To get some sugar for the coffee. To ask for the bill. To get the bill. We then left with the money on the table... All in all: Nice looking place, the tea was excellent (made with fresh spearmint leaves), but service just too slow (and weird concept "drinks only outside").

L'atmosphère chaleureuse est tout autant dans l'assiette que dans le décor où les entrelacs blancs du bar se reflètent dans les rosaces du plafond et les mosaïques aux murs invitent au dépaysement. En prime l'accueil sympathique et convivial de la Baraka plonge les convives pour la soirée ou la pause-déjeuner dans un monde où le soleil ne brille pas que dans le ciel.
