They'll make a recommendation and give you a taste before you buy. Terrific service, BTW. Wines from all over Italy, not just Piedmont (in case you were reading too much into the name). I recall having a dynamite white from Lazio, among other terrific wines. You'll get a small complementary antipasti plate with your purchase. We liked it so much that on our second visit (in four days), we sprung for the large plate and called it dinner. Seemed popular with the locals. Along with Den Vandrette, this was our favorite wine bar in Copenhagen.

When I saw how packed it was I knew it must live up to the hype but I was super disappointed with the experience. I was sat and served bread and upon my 3rd bite of bread I noticed it super tasted like perfume or soap. Hmmmm that's odd I tried another piece and the same thing, I spit it out. In that moment I lost trust, before my main dish even arrived. When the carbonara did arrive , to my extreme disappointment it literally had no flavor what so ever. Not one seasoning was added to this dish. I only ate about 3 bites and asked for the check. The server asked if i wanted something else but at this point i just wanted to go home. They charged me in full. I walked home in disappointment on my last night in this beautiful city filled with great food. The end.

When we arrived early there were quite a few open seats and staff had no problem seating us. We could've sat outdoors and listened to a guitarist but opted for inside. The decor was rustic and almost every inch of the wall was covered with something. Even the ceilings were painted. Service was quite good. Attentive and fast. Our section of the restaurant was quiet. However, I felt a little sorry for one server as the couple behind us kept complaining through most of their meal and eventually had to moved due to sounds they kept hearing through the wall. We didn't hear anything. Bread service was included and each slice was soft and helped us finish off the remaining bit of sauces from our pasta. My salmon pasta was quite generous with the amount of salmon chunks. The sauce was distinct creamy tomato and mixed well with the al dente pasta. My SO's mushroom tagliatelle had a nice mix of mushrooms and rich flavor. Dinner was quite filling and we couldn't fit in dessert. Would come back again should we be back in Copenhagen.

Did a late-ish dinner on a Sunday, with a reservation and as a solo diner, they seated me at the bar. Service was friendly, but also felt like they were kind of rushing me through everything, when I wanted a casual, leisurely meal. I wanted some advice on what to order (I knew I wanted the spaghetti with butter and caviar but not sure what else) and I felt a bit pressured to order more than what I was really hungry for/wanted. Spoiler alert: it was, in fact, far too much food. Highlights: The sourdough foccacia with whipped ricotta and honey is as very tasty and very filling. The spaghetti/caviar dish generally lived up to the hype, but was a bit heavy for me. The portion sizes here, generally are pretty decently sized, and make sense for sharing with another person. The Low Points: Rushed, service overall. I felt pressured to order very quickly. Food came very quickly. Drinks were almost a little slow, despite sitting at the bar. The pacing was just off overall. Too much food - should have ordered less (that's on me), but also I felt pressured to order things I wasn't sure I really wanted. The halibut crudo was okay - good flavor but just seemed heavy-handed on the cuts and textures. The monkfish + fusilloni is one of five least-liked dishes of 2025, very close to the top. The monkfish was so overcooked and chewy it was inedible altogether and the whole dish just felt very bland. At the end of the meal they tacked on an automatic service charge, which I'd never seen before in Copenhagen (maybe this is becoming more common, but I didn't see this at any of the restaurants of my trip.) Overall, pretty underwhelming meal and I'd be hesitant to go back. The price vs quality of the food + experience just didn't deliver for me. I liked the spaghetti butter caviar dish but also felt like I could make something like that at home. If you're trying to prioritize where to eat in Copenhagen and only have a few meals to choose from, this is skippable to me.

Cantina is an Italian restaurant located in central Copenhagen's Indre By district that serves a variety of dishes, including wood-fired pizzas and pasta. The pizza variety is great: salami picante with honey and mozzarella, white with ricotta and mozzarella and the classic Margherita. Their cocktails have great options too, from Elderflower, Aperol Spritz to Gin and Tonic. The pasta selections offer linguini with vongole, Spaghetti, Ravioli. I wanted a Danish beer to start thus ordered the Snub Juice IPA; citrus all the way. It knocked my socks off. I savored every sip! I opted for the Margherita Pizza which offers a generous "personal pizza " size. Their pizza tasted delicious, we are talking Brooklyn-Copenhagen style! It is not to be missed! I loved the charred crust, the mozzarella was gooey and yummy with nice pieces of basil. Lastly, the sauce was light not overwhelming. Every bite was a knockout! For dessert I opted for the Caramel Gelato; one scoop of heaven in a glass ( see pics). It was a nice way of topping off the meal. Fredericka, my waitress was great; super accommodating, personable and professional. The vibe here is my vibe: combo of low key/ chilling/ crack open the champagne and eat and be merry! The bar is also a nice looking bar.. a bar I could easily spend a lot of time at. A million taks ( thank you in Danish).
