The bread service was delicious. They had a good selection of local wines. We got the local white wine, which was really tasty. We started off with the mixed fried seafood and vegetables. The house made tartar sauce was amazing. It reminded me of being back in Lake Como. I then got the specialty of the house which was a clam and butter sauce pasta. The pasta was fresh and made by the restaurant. My husband also got a tomato based pasta, which was also good. The tiramisu was amazing and decadent and luscious. Love the cream in the tiramisu. Overall, a very beautiful and romantic meal. Oh yes, and we also had to try the fresh very very very fresh oysters. These were amazing and honestly, we should've gotten more than two.

Last but not least the wait staff were very friendly and welcoming. They spoke excellent English and had a laid back attitude.

La table d'Igor is part of a charming boutique hotel. While it's just off of a busy street, the…read moreproperty itself feels very secluded, with a large garden out front. My friend started with the winter salad and I had the cream of artichoke soup. Both were delicious, and tasted like they really took advantage of seasonal ingredients. For the main course my friend had the sole with couscous and Christmas spices, of which I had a taste. The fish had a very clean and subtle flavor, and the couscous went with it perfectly. I had the veal chop, which was prepared just right; tender and juicy, also with a subtle flavor. It felt like the team let the ingredients speak for themselves, rather than overpowering with seasoning or sauces. We shared the pavlova for dessert, which was also delicious. The contrast of crunchy/crisp meringue and creamy vanilla made for a great combination. Not too sweet, not too heavy... really nice. The service was very professional and efficient. There are two rooms with quite different ambiance; we were in the smaller room which I preferred as it felt more rustic and cozy. For Switzerland, the prices were quite reasonable, as the quality of ingredients, skill in preparation, and size of the portions were all of a high standard. I would definitely go back to La table d'Igor!

The patrons are a mix of tourists and locals. The staff speaks English...in fact one woman told me prefers to so she can practice. I have had a burger and chicken Tandoori salad, both excellent. Full bar, lots of beer and espresso for after. They have live music sometimes, but right now Johnny Winter's "Stone Cold Boogie" is playing on the sound system. The single waiter, Ayman, gave us the menu and recited the appropriate options for all levels of "hungry." We ordered Fatoosh, falafel, kebbe, hummus and grilled halloumi for appetizers and mixed grill (kafka, tawouq and shawarma) for main dish (to share). I think it was called "the trio." Fatoush's was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. So was the hummus. The falafel and kebbe were better; both are strong on taste. Lastly, the grilled halloumi was excellent. All portions were a bit small though. Good thing we weren't too hungry. As for our main dish, it also came with (yummy) garlic-lemon potatoes, muhammara (nut-paprika) and three sauces. The meats were a little over cooked but very good overall, especially the shawarma which was perhaps the best thing in the restaurant. We were both very satisfied and might come back tomorrow night to try something else!
