Atmosphere 3/5: Nothing exceptional in this restaurant. The place is a little bit dark during the days which is not something I like in a restaurant. The place looks like an Irish Bar as described earlier. Food 3/5: I ordered some Tagliatelle al a Bolognese as Menu du Jour. The Tagliatelle are coming with a Mixed Green Salad. The Salad was good with some French Dressing. The dressing wasn't homemade but it was tasty. The Tagliatelle were OK. It was eatable but I thought the sauce was a little bit tasteless. Service 4/5: Service was good. The waitress came at our table right away to take our orders and she was checking with us to see if the food was alright. My sister had a Horse Steak that she couldn't finish but the waitress made sure to ask her if anything was wrong with the steak since she couldn't finish it. Good restaurant for a quick lunch if you don't have time or you don't know where to go. There's still better places in Lausanne.

But overall, good, comfortable and silent. In the lobby area they have some drinks and snacks for sale. Good location, with easy access to public transportation, and getting to the "downtown area" is within a 10 min walk.

The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful securing us a last minute reservation for dinner w/ our kids at Le Chat Noir, which was a fantastic meal. The front desk had to call many places to find a place with availability and they were happy to do so. And the location was close to everything - Restaurants of all kinds, coffee shops, the cathedral, the main sights downtown. The train station was a bit further but still just a long walk. The hotel also includes a free transit pass. I would highly recommend Hôtel de la Paix if you're staying Lausanne, a beautiful city.

I assume the manager came around and asked everyone if they enjoyed their food, and invited us back when hockey is on, as they broadcast all hockey games. we went back when my mother arrived, and the same guy was working and had no problems. I think I found my new hangout while I am here in Lausanne.
