It's a cute spot in Chamonix! Looks like it's right out of a picture book. Ventured in on the weekend without a reservation and had to wait a couple of minutes, and was seated shortly after. The restaurant has some vegetarian options which is great for me. Ordered a pasta dish (sans ham), and my friends ordered the salmon and the veggie shepherds pie. I love how the menu is very authentically French. I enjoyed my pasta - tasted fresh and was well seasoned. I have to say though the show stopper and star was the dessert...oh man you need to get that blueberry mushroom. It's incredible. When I saw people ordering it I had to have it. It's a chocolate shell filled with cream, blueberry jam & cake...such a cute concept, well executed and tasted divine. Servers were prompt and friendly. Overall I had a nice experience here!

Amazing location with mountain views, river and flowers. Tartiflette and escargot was really good. I dont think you can ask for any better experience in regards to location, service and quality of food at a heavenly place.

When one thinks of Josephine in france you would think Napoleon oui? Welp this Josephine is named after the amazing Josephine Baker the early 20h century jazz singer And boy this cute brassiere swing Great ambiance with fantastic jazz playing Great service: everyone was fantastic with their service... and funny too Great menu selection We had four glasses of their house gamay and it was 23 euros Good portions Wonderful people watching If you're in the Chamonix valley check them out

This restaurant is more hype than anything else. It's located right in the center of Chamonix. They have a cold seafood bar right outside and that really makes it enticing. I ordered the Onion soup and ribeye. The onion soup had a sour taste to it. Not what I was expecting. I thought it was just ok. I had way better on a cruise ship. The ribeye was grilled and not broiled. The meat didn't feel of high quality. It was more chewy for being a ribeye. The seafood towers I was seeing at other tables looked good, but I didn't want to be spending that much money since I've already spent so much already in Switzerland.

This was our favorite meal of the entire trip to Chamonix. I was able to make reservations the morning of for 6:30pm . This restaurant throughout our stay had lines of people waiting to be seated, so I'm glad with the reservation we were seated within 15 minutes. The restaurant does feel cramped inside but the wait staff are quick and efficient. My husband absolutely loved the french onion soup and enjoyed his fried veal steak. The staff was kind enough to make my daughter a plain and simple white sauce pasta while I enjoyed the cauliflower in coconut curry! The food was a good 8/10 ...what topped the experience was their AMAZING desserts 15/10. Whatever you chose to eat for dinner my one take home message is not to skip the dessert here.

If you are used to seafood from the southern United States, this place will disappoint. The oysters were beyond salty, there is no horseradish sauce, or cocktail sauce. The gray shrimp are so tiny. They are almost inededible, and not worth the time to shell them. The crab was undesirable, and the periwinkle's were small, inedible escargot. The Langenstein's and shrimp were the only salvageable items. It is the only time in history we have ever left seafood on a plate.

The food at this place was great. Such great flavors and what a setting in Chamonix. Outdoor seating at its best!!! Merci!!!

Only stopped here for a hot chocolate with whipped cream after hiking all day today under cloud cover and drizzle. Sat outside on their heated patio. Blankets over the chairs is an added nice touch. Not staying for dinner only because their prices aren't within our budget. Our hot chocolate hit the spot and is delicious.

No service and 1 hour for fondue. He came and lit the gas but had to replace it because for some reason heating up cheese is too difficult.

Here are a few few things we noticed: - When I made the reservation, I had seen a picture in Yelp that made it look like the outdoor seating was in a front patio but beware because that is the patio of another restaurant and the entrance to Atmosphere is next to it. While it was comfortable inside, specify the outdoor Terrace if at all possible because that is along the river and is very beautiful. - My wife ordered from one of the two fixed price menus, but I decided to order à la carte, which is definitely more expensive. - My wife started with the Alpine salad, which was very delicious. I got the French onion soup, which is supposedly one of their specialties, but I just found it average. - For a main courses, I got the beef tenderloin with seared fois gras... it was amazingly! My wife got the hotbox cheese and liked it well enough. - For her, the highlight of the meal was probably the blueberry tartlet. I got a trio of sorbets which were also very fresh and good. - Service was very very good. And the atmosphere is cozy and warm inside. Bottom line: Dining at Atmosphere was a great way to start our vacation!

It perfect swathe be outside enjoy blessed look in skies mountains Mount Blanc around u. The menu is pretty daunting at first. It decent size it both in French and English. Lot of the times reading description of each one. I ended up going with goat cheese salad and carbonara pasta dish. The goat cheese was refreshing from goat cheese nice hearty salad. The pasta nice creamy plus egg yolk mixed it in was heavenly. Heavy dish with all cream and egg yolk but filling. Raclette. That was star of the show. I got try bit from someone else. Start the presentation was wow! I never seen anything like that before in life. The whole charcoal tower, quarter of Raclette cheese rind, beautiful spread of deli meats and more together with cheese, and move cheese close to tower it melts cheese on plate. It was amazing! If ever go back to Chamonix and hills of Mount Blanc. Le Monchu be back!

I would absolutely recommend eating here if you staying in the Chamonix city center and you are looking for a French cuisine with all the traditional favorites. The price is good too! Each individual entree is about 25 euros, house wine is 9euro a glass. The multi course dining prefix is around 35 euros. Fine food for an affordable dining price. The hash brown made it stand out, so if you get the regular poco loco, I assume you get a pretty standard burger. Definitely not bad but nothing special in terms on ingredients. However, I really liked the bun! The outside was thicker and crispy without feeling stale. And the inside of the bun was still soft! Frenchie - this burger was my personal favorite of the two. Same compliments for the bun, but I loved the combination of the cheese and honey for the toppings. It was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The fries and onion rings were both really good as well. The fries were really crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and salted generously. And the onion rings were pretty typical. One thing I wasn't a big fan of was how long our order took just because we were waiting on the fries which took forever. But they ended up upgrading our fries to a medium for the trouble, so no complaints here!
