We requested to be seated outside and were given a table that was partially covered by the large umbrella. It then started to rain lightly and we asked if we could move to some several empty tables that were under the umbrellas. Ms Sanjary then started to be aggressive and said we can sit inside if we are not happy sitting outside. After a few unpleasant exchanges of words she walked away and told another server to deal with us. A totally rude and unprofessional attitude ensured. She is unfit to be a manager let alone working in a hospitality industry. We have been going to Waisenhaus for years and won't be back ever again this time. She is a disgrace to the restaurant.

The streets are bustling with people so it's nice to eat and people watch. The food was good! I got the seabass and shrimp dish. Everything cooked to perfection and flavorful. Also tried the appetizer sampler dish. Interesting to be able to taste the variety. The food comes out in waves and they will not serve your main dish until you are done with any starters. The service was very lacking here. Our server was always missing and later we saw her just chatting and smoking in the back. Upon asking to pay, the ladies at the front started mocking us and made us very uncomfortable.

They were very accommodating and the rooms were comfortable (although on the smaller side). Dinner was fantastic both nights we stayed here. We ordered pasta on the first night and seafood risotto & rack of lamb on the second night. All of the meals we would get again and highly recommend. Great ambiance on the patio and very attentive servers. If you're in the Thun/Hunibach area, I would highly recommend staying and/or eating at Hotel Chartreuse! We definitely will if we're able to make it back to the area
