Looks like they have Live music. We arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning around 11. Quiet and we had the Dining area practically to ourselves but definitely picked up by the time we finished. We ordered a Smoked Meat Sandwich platter with fries and a solo large Smoked Meat Sandwich. Smoked meat was thick, tender and tasty-make sure to ask for marbled. Fries were also tasty-fresh cut. We also ordered, based on recommendation, the Karnatzel-slightly spicy with garlic and had a snap-very similar to beef jerky but also could pass for a skinny sausage-we enjoyed it! Service was quick and friendly. They have an extensive menu offering everything from poutine to grilled lamb, chicken, liver and steak. A bit off the beaten path and one of the top options for Smoked Meat.

Traditional Irish food but also some twists on traditional favorites. Loved the French Onion Soup. The Curried Chicken Poutine was a great new interpretation of a Quebec Classic. Husband enjoyed pigs in a blanket and the Shepard's pie. Only drawback, it was difficult to find. Not well lit, and we passed it three times before we saw it. Almost gave up. Glad we didn't.

This restaurant is in a cute old house converted to an Irish pub/restaurant. Inside it is very cozy. It was pretty quiet when we went mid afternoon in a Saturday. They have a pretty good selection of draft beers. The server recommended a locally brewed IPA which was very good. Food: the onion rings are TO DIE FOR. They look like mini fluffy donuts. By far the best onion rings I've ever had. Loaded mac and cheese (with bacon and jalapeños) was good, but I don't know that I'd order again. My boyfriend loved his filet poutine, I didn't try it but it looked awesome. This place seems like kind of a hidden gem! Prices were reasonable, service and food was great! Would definitely return.

Sadly, we've moved away from Montreal, but make certain we come to this establishment each time we visit family in Montreal. We always get the hi tieu nam vang kho (dry version). It's delicious! The service is always good and friendly. From what I recall, it's cash only, but reasonably priced.

The entrance is a few steps up from street-level but where the name is etched on the door, it's mostly rubbed off so it looks abandoned. We almost walked away until I peeked into the entrance and saw people sitting upstairs. We went upstairs and the tiny restaurant was full. We decided to wait for a table since we had walked 25 minutes to get there. It didn't take long until someone left and we got a table. The menu is tiny and all in french. We managed to decipher it and ordered. My husband ordered Hù tiêú nam vang and I ordered Hù tiú bò. Both were piping hot, flavourful and filled with plenty of protein. The noodles were cooked perfectly. We loved that there was an option on the menu for cooking the beansprouts as usually we have to write that separately. We also ordered 2 imperial rolls and they were also piping hot, crispy and delicious. I loved that in the washroom there's a chalkboard wall where you can write comments :) This place is a true foodie find and we will definitely be back next time we're in Montrêal.
