One standout was the gym, which is much better than what you typically find in hotels, with multiple treadmills, a stair stepper, ellipticals, and a solid selection of weights. They also have a two lane indoor pool and an indoor hot tub, which were nice added amenities. I especially appreciated that my room had a patio, it was great being able to get some fresh air. The only downside was the noise. There were very loud neighbours in the hallway with screaming and music playing until around 11:30 pm. I contacted the front desk and was told security would be sent up, but no one came and the noise continued past midnight. Overall, a solid hotel with great amenities, but the lack of follow through on the noise issue was disappointing.

Parking was simple and easy, the parking elevator takes you to the lobby. I did mobile check-in, but stopped at the desk to pick up the physical keys. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, explained everything in details, where things were located, how to use the in/out parking, etc. The room I got was spacious and even the bathroom was large. The view was ok, only saw other tall buildings :) It had a large balcony, which would been awesome if I came in the summer. The only complaint that I had about the hotel was their elevator, never been to a hotel where you had to wait in line to use one lol.... They also have a nice fitness center, with large pool and yes, they even have a squash/racquetball court!! Overall, enjoyed my stay here and definitely would stay here again in the future.

This hotel was far from the airport, so I would suggest taking an Uber to and from this hotel. The…read moreUber will cost you around $40-$60 CAD depending on the time of day. You can take the 747 bus directly from the airport to this hotel, but it's t will take around 40 ish mins or so. If you decide to rent a car, parking is at this hotel $30 CAD a day to keep your car parked. When purchasing your metro tickets from the airport, there is a machine that you will purchase it from. Just get the non-rechargeable ticket for 24 hours for $11 CAD. It will NOT take American Credit Cards or American money. It has to be a Canadian Credit Card or HAVE Canadian cash. I can say that this hotel is conveniently located on the edge of Quartier Des Spectacles, just a couple of blocks from The Gay Village & about 3 blocks from Chinatown. It's a walking distance between both and areas. It's only two or three blocks from the Orange Line, Yellow Line, and Green Line of the metro. The rooms are kind of small, but great if all you're doing is just sleeping there. There is so to do in the area. Downfalls are: there is no coin laundry. However, there is a plastic bag in your closet that you can put your dirty laundry in. Take it downstairs to the front desk and pay them $20 CAD for them to do your laundry. Your cloths will be ready the next day in the afternoon and folded for you. You will have to pick a your laundry from the front desk. Your bedroom will ONLY be cleaned EVERY OTHER DAY. So, don't expect them to clean your room everyday. If you need extra towels, you will have to call down to the front desk or just pick them up from the front desk. Breakfast is NOT included as part of your stay like it is in the United States or America, unless you choose that options or pay extra when booking. Another downfall is that, at the time I was here, they only had two fans. One was broken and the other, someone else had. We stayed here for 6 nights and every night we kept asking for a fan, which of course they did NOT have. They kept trying to fix the A/C, but what we really needed was air circulation. Most hotels have or keep extra fans for their guests. Just note that if you need a fan for air circulation and comfort, you may not get one. So just take cold showers. There is no microwave or coffee maker in your room. There is however a small refrigerator there. They have a good coffee maker downstairs, tea, water foundation, microwave, and dinning area you can eat at. The front desk will have plastic utensils if you ask them for some. There is a gym, extra restrooms, vending machines, and ice on the "M" floor. The staff are ALL really nice! They had great customer service and had no problems with them. Their customer service alone was a five star. And again, this hotel is very conveniently located.

Let's start with cleanliness. The room is outdated, beat up, and was bordering on filthy. See the attached pics featuring the desk chair. I happened to be in a street facing room so there is the occasional bit of noise, but that wasn't a problem. Then there's the temperature. In one of the hottest weeks Montréal has seen so far this summer, my air conditioning unit was practically non-functional. The temperature in my room regularly topped out at 26 degrees. The young man at the front desk was happy to come reset the unit (I want to add here that the lobby air conditioning also seemed to be non-functional, horrible for the staff) and it briefly cooled down to a to a tolerable 22. Same song and dance the next day, where I had to go buy a fan from Best Buy in an attempt to get more than a few hours of decent sleep. No one ever followed up with me to see if things were improved, so I had to approach the front desk again. The same nice young gentleman came to my room, fiddled with the display for the AC for a few minutes, and I had a blissful night at 21.5 degrees. One night. I'm currently on night 6 (thank god, the last one) of my stay and it's 26 degrees. Never was I offered a different room, I had to ask (and none were available), never did they try to get a repairman into the room, nothing. It's made my stay here horrible. The hotel is located in a dodgy part of Rue Saint-Catherine. Red lights district with a visible unhoused population, and as a solo female traveler I experienced some harassment coming to and leaving from the hotel. I wouldn't feel safe being out after dark here. During the day it's relatively convenient to metro lines and a reasonable walk from local attractions. For a chain, I expect better. The staff was nice enough but there are no standards. Guests bang around at all hours of the night and you can feel vibrations through the walls. The AC panel blazes a bright blue light into the room all night, making it impossible to sleep unless you're knocked out or wear an eye mask. The hotel itself is worn and dingy. I didn't even try the breakfast for fear of wasting a vacation day on the toilet. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Being downtown it can get and will get noisy but again great basic value hotel. What you get, a basic clean room, I saw no bugs, a lock on the door and a continental breakfast consisting of toast, cereal, fruit and coffee and orange juice. Again it's all basic but you are buying location, location, location. Being downtown it can and will get noisy. There are homeless, you are downtown but this is a great value for staying downtown. I asked where St Catherine Street is and it's right outside the door. Chinatown is down the street, Old Town a little farther but walkable or take several metro options for about $11 for a 24hr pass. This place is not fancy but it's a clean basic hotel that is all about location, location, location. Would I stay here again, Absolutely!. Reminder : Stairs no elevator.

I booked through hotels.com a 1 night stay on 1/2/24. So horrific: 1. The pictures are clean. The reality is a s-hole dump. Beer bottles and trash lined the walkway to the door. The entire building smelled of smoke. 2. Front desk staff barely communicative. 3. Room was FAR smaller than advertised and was also dirty. The room to which I was assigned looked like NOTHING IN ANY OF THE PHOTOS. 4. Public shared restroom: i did not even go in since everything else smelled like piss, cigarettes and beer, I figured the bathrooms were also disgusting. 5. Parking is off site; no bell hop or other staff to carry bags up two flights of stairs (no lift). The only plus is that I got a few dollars of one key rewards for walking in and out of a horriffic, unsanitary, smoky boarding home- far far below any consideration of the name "hotel." It's not even hostel level. This is an unhealthy, and borderline dangerous place to stay. It is destined to close down, fail, and die. You may too if you stay there. DO NOT BOOK THIS HORRIBLE PLACE. My friend and I walked away in silence and immediately looked at each other like, "Was that real?" It was just an oddly unpleasant interaction that set the tone. On the positive side, the rooms are big and clean. Every housekeeper we passed in the hall was incredibly warm and friendly. A couple things to note: 1) no valet, and 2) in our room, the shower feels like it's in the middle of the space and lacks basic privacy. Totally fine if you're with a best friend or partner, but I would've been mortified if I were sharing the room with anyone else. Not sure if it's just this layout or if all the rooms are like that. In the picture I posted, the shower is that glass panel on the left side of the picture with pink frosted glass.

But I'm not sure I actually like the style. They lean super hard into their theme. Pink is everywhere, there's a strong signature scent pumped through the lobby, and the whole place feels like it was designed for a photo shoot more than a comfortable stay. It's nice, but just a bit too much across the board. It's definitely a sexy hotel, great for bringing a spouse or significant other. But you'll want to be at a stage in your relationship where you're comfortable using the bathroom with the other person in the room - because there's almost no privacy. Glass walls and open layouts look cool, but they don't leave much to the imagination. If you love bold, highly styled spaces and don't mind a little flash over function, this could be perfect. I'll pass on returning but I won't say it isn't beautiful.

The location is great - right in the heart of downtown, next to a Tim Horton's, a few blocks from a Pharmaprix, and with plenty of dining options within walking distance. While there aren't many parking options for a vehicle, we found their valet service well worth the $35-38 per day. The daily continental breakfast was tasty! There were plenty of options including oatmeal, cereals, fresh bagels, assorted meats and cheeses, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, a variety of fruit, juices, milk, coffee and tea. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with a full kitchen and cozy dining area, VERY comfortable bed(s), a big bath tub, and good views. I slept very well every night and was never disrupted by hotel sounds. There is also a rooftop gym and while small, has enough equipment to get the job done. There is also a heated pool and a nice rooftop area right next to it. The service was also top notch, everyone on the LSP team was very welcoming and polite. I tried my best to communicate in French, but they were patient and made sure I got the information I needed. I've stayed at hotels double the price that were half as good as Le Square Phillips. Can't wait to stay here again!
