I like the narrow restaurant with it's ambiance. It's a gourmet place but also very family style. The staff is great. Very friendly and attentive. The owner is the chef too - and he is looking for his guests in a best possible way. You have a direct view from the restaurant into the kitchen. You will not see any hectic or stressed kitchen staff. They know what they are doing, all is well organized. The wine selection is good but no surprises. You get some finger food from the kitchen... once we had self made truffle chips another time we had wasabi popcorn... just for fun. Upperdeck is on a mezzanine level, which is only reachable from a small bridge off one of many staircases. Once we solved the problem, seating was easy and the server was at our table promptly. Complementary bread was provided and was tasty if a bit small. I ordered a dark beer which came tall and flavorful. I went with a burger and asked if I could substitute mayo for ketchup. The server said she would "ask if that was possible" which was a new experience. I asked her if I was doing something American that wasn't done in Switzerland as it's common to customize a burger order in the US. She did not answer directly, so not sure. The burger came out as I ordered it and was very tasty. My other half ordered a pasta dish that she enjoyed. The food was hot and filling, just what we needed. The bill was a little higher than other places, but typical for airport food. Overall a positive experience. I wouldn't come here if you're in a hurry to catch a flight.

Staff was nice, but not overly helpful for travelers trying to figure out things like the local train schedule. Train station closer-by, easy walk. Rooms were just OK. Cutesy little safe handles on all the doors. Not located in the best part of the city, but safe. Our main criticism of the hotel (like the review of the restaurant there) is that they allow smoking in the building. We get it, in Europe smoking is much more of a thing than in the U.S., but the Kameha Grand was the only hotel we visited in two weeks that allowed smoking indoors. The hotel would claim "it's only a section in the restaurant." That may well be, but it's like the early attempts to segregate non-smokers in U.S. restaurants into a different section, no walls, no fans, no filtration system, just a separate area. That's the Kameha Grand. Apparently management is obvious to the spread of cigarette smoke throughout the building. It smelled like a casino with no ventilation. For the price, you have to do better than that. If you're a heavy smoker, Kameha Grand is your kind of place. For a non-smoker, we cannot recommend you stay there.

Reminds me of a home cooked meal. However what gets this restaurant 5 stars is the stellar service provided by all the wait staff. Every single person that has ever waited on me is very very friendly, talkative, helpful and best of all they are super accommodating to my kids.
