Stopped here by chance since we passed by it on our way back home. It is a beautiful restaurant with a picturesque view behind it. The restaurant is very busy, which is always a good sign. The staff is friendly, but keep in mind they are trying to serve everyone, so your order may take longer. We ordered a variety of dishes because we were starving. Ordered the stuff mushrooms, over baked shrimp, tatziki, pork soluvaki, and pita bread. Everything came out piping hit and delicious. The portions are very generous. We had to take the rest with us. Most amazing place. My first experience with this place was over 20 years ago when my family was stationed here with the military. Jump to 2017 when my partner told me we would be coming to Germany to revisit this town. Well the only thing I had on my mind was the "Greek Restaurant" (I couldn't remember the name.) When we showed up one of the staff in formed me that the original had burned down and the new location was built. Well that night was my first experience dinning here again since a child, an WOW the staff along with the meals were amazing. Fast forward to this evening. 11/24/19 Again we are back the only difference is we brought my mother. *****Again I can't express how amazing this place is.***** We didn't have a reservation nor did we call to check if they could even seat us. We walk in are greeted with such a warm welcome by the man behind the bar. Then this lovely young lady ask's how many of us and finds a place for us. We ordered a Gyro plate , the braised lamb shank with eggplant and the musacka plate. All of it was great. The atmosphere perfect. A little bit of Greece in Germany! This place is fantastic, their selection is wonderful. I love coming here and getting the lamb. It is cooked to perfection, served with fries it is one great dish. My sons love it as well! They love the baked spaghetti with lamb, the lamb literally falls of the bone. One plate feeds both of my kids! When I first came here, I could not believe the selection, the appetizer for two people was meal enough! And a shot of their special red drink afterwards, completes the meal. Awesome restaurant! Servers are great and attentive, food was portioned big with the prices low. Food was also really good and so was the wine! Parking is not a hassle but I would say it was a little to hot inside the actual dining area. Well deserved 4 star ! read more

I love this place. Had a candle light dinner w/ live flowers (where can you find that these days?) We even got free shots in the beginning of the meal. And ended w/ a free fruity drink. Good G good. Not sure what all the 5 stars are about, but not for us. The menu is very large and has numerous variations of traditional Greek specialties. You can mix and match the types of food from its menu, just use its numbering system to order your meal. I had the lamp chops and they were quite tasty. If the restaurant is busy, parking is a challenge. This is not a place for your romantic hangout, but nice for a family and groups to enjoy. read more

This is by far my favorite Greek restaurant in the area. I have been here many times and have always received the best service and food. The prices are great as well. Most recently, I went with a party of 30+ for my birthday. They handled the party with grace and ease. I was beyond thrilled at how wonderfully my night went. In fact, all but 6 in my party had never been there before and had a fantastic experience. The family(staff) was so warm and friendly that evening, I felt like extended family. I wish I could go back daily. I will be frequenting this restaurant more often and I know many of our friends will as well. read more

Great food long wait sometimes for food but it's worth it the lamb is the beat around this area

I've been to Poseidon several times within the past year. I can honestly say that I have never had a meal that wasn't delicious or left me unsatisfied. However I have had two completely different service experiences. One, while with a regular, we recieved the most spectacular service possible. The servers were friendly and accomodating. Howevery the few times I have gone on my own or with a new group, the opposite occured. I have never gone to Poseidon and had the dining room be empty, so I understand that there is a large crowd and that they need to accomodate other parties or require a fast turnover for their tables, however poor service for me is a turn off. Anyways, back to the AMAZING food. I usually get one of their platters, with my favorite being the Poseidon plate. It lets you try a little bit of everything and is extremely filling. A couple of my favorite appetizers are the deep fried minced chicken, and last time I was there I noticed a fried egg on a deep fried block of cheese. Doesn't that just sound amazing? Great cocktail and wine selection as well. This restaurant is absolutely afforable and is fantastic for large groups so you should absolutely give them a try. Also, they accept credit card. read more
