But this one is garnished with dill, lime mayonnaise, cress, cashew nuts, cucumbers, pickled tomatoes, red grapefruit, capers, olive oil and avocado cream. The fish was a little too salty, but the parsley purée, white asparagus and free basket of seeded rolls balanced it out. My favorite dish by far was the quail/goose - it had a morel mushroom sauce, rich and caramelly carrot purée and fresh peas bursting with pea flavor. I'm not even a big vegetable person but I loved the combination of the gamey bird meat with the vegetables. The third and final plate was the oxtail - it came with mashed potato that was a little smoky and very savory. The oxtail was fork-tender and the dish came with both pickled and fresh sliced carrots with fried turnip (?) crisps. I was also glad that the waitress recommended that our plates arrive in a certain order so we could appreciate each to its fullest. The glass of Pinot Noir I got complemented my meal wonderfully. This place is an absolute delight, and a warmly welcomed new addition to one of my favorite (of many) Nørrebro streets, Ravnsborggade. With ample outdoor seating in prime afternoon/evening summer sunlight, it's easy to waste away the day over glasses of really fantastic hipster wines (take a look at the labels and you'll see what I mean). Like their sister shop on Christianshavn (Sankt Annæ 8, my [other] favorite wine bar in town), the concept here is *simplicity* with food. Because they have a kitchen at 20A, the SA8 Dish of the Day concept has grown to two choices in some cases, plus a starter, and everything is prepared to perfection. On Saturday the dishes were a lovely fresh cod, and confit de canard, both absolutely flawless. Our waiter suggested wines and was so sure of himself that we threw caution to the wind and let him decide for us (a rare occurrence if we're being honest) ,and he did not lead us astray. Overall, the experience was easy, cozy, delicious, and excellent value for money (two glasses of wine, a starter, and a main course was about 300kr). This place is easily going to become a staple of the neighborhood, and will undoubtedly be one of my new local haunts. Pro-tip: not sure you can down a whole bottle of wine (who are we kidding, we know you will, but if you're trying to be prudent)? These guys do it right by letting you order by the glass, but, if you happen to have 5 glasses of the same wine, charging you their bottle price.
