Ich habe einen Burger mit Pommes bekommen - es war wirklich miserabel. Das Brötchen war mindestens fünf Tage alt, es zerbröselte komplett. Die Pommes waren labberig, überhaupt nicht knusprig oder richtig zubereitet - und obendrein ungesalzen. Das Fleischpatty war vorgegart, erneut aufgewärmt und total trocken. Der Bacon war in Fett oder Fritteuse gemacht, völlig zusammengekräuselt und geschmacklos. Ich habe noch nie so eine schlechte Mahlzeit für 19,50 € bekommen wie hier. Als ich bezahlte und der Mitarbeiterin sagte, dass das Brötchen extrem trocken sei und sie es selbst sehen könne - es lag unberührt auf dem Teller - meinte sie nur: "Gehen Sie doch zu McDonald's nebenan. Vielleicht haben die etwas, das Ihren Erwartungen entspricht." Ich bin schockiert, so etwas von einem Mitarbeiter zu hören, wenn man als Kunde bezahlt und berechtigte Kritik äußert. Offenbar interessiert sich dieses Unternehmen nicht für seine Kunden - also wird weiterhin schlechter Kram serviert. Ein guter Rat: Geht niemals dort hin - sucht euch ein anderes Lokal. English translation: Get ripped off and pay for garbage. At the same time, you have to deal with the rude behavior of the staff, who suggest you go to McDonald's because the food they serve is terrible and inedible. I ordered a burger with fries - it was truly awful. The burger bun was at least five days old; it completely crumbled apart. The fries were limp, not crispy or properly cooked - and had no salt at all. The patty was pre-cooked, reheated, and completely dry. The bacon was fried in oil or fat, curled up, and totally tasteless. I've never had such a terrible meal for €19.50 as I did here. When I paid and told the staff member that the burger bun was extremely dry - she could see for herself that it couldn't be eaten and was left on the plate - she said, "Go over to McDonald's next door, maybe they have something that meets your expectations." I'm shocked to hear something like that from an employee, especially after paying and offering honest feedback. Apparently, this business doesn't care about its customers - so the crap will continue to be served. So here's a good piece of advice: never go there - find somewhere else.

Landhaus Scherrer is an interesting combination of first class and family in its decor and service. The single waiter than handled my room was a gentleman - thoughtful, professional, and capable of a laugh at the sight of a child (a family was dining that night). The greeting woman seemed quite similar - a bit serious at first, but clearly very kind if you needed help. So the atmosphere was excellent, but the food actually topped it. This is no neighborhood comfort food. After picking out an incredibly inexpensive (but good) wine for me, the waiter brought out a complementary plate of variations on a pumpkin theme - ice cream, custard, pumpkin slices, etc, all prepared differently and all wonderful. After a salad came the crusted duck dish. It was one of the best duck dishes I've ever had - full of flavor and wonderfully prepared. I also had an excellent desert, but I can't recall it any longer. In sum, Landhaus Scherrer is a real find for a visitor of Hamburg. I hope it's well-known by the locals. Regardless, all who visit or live in Hamburg should stop in.
