I hate it when I feel rushed, but I kind of did, just because people were waiting and wanted to sit, and we were still talking/ finishing our drinks. BUT to be fair, they said the reservation was good till 8:30, so it's ok that we had to leave. Anyway, on to the food. I ordered the glass noodles with brown soy sauce and shrimp. The portion was big, the shrimp were huge, plentiful, and delicious, and the noodles were fine but the sauce was a little lacking. My friends Red Curry chicken was out of this world. SHOOT! It was good. It was creamy and had a really big red curry taste without it being too spicy. My boyfriends cashews with chicken in a tangy sauce was pretty good! It had a nice flavor. The first go was a little rough. I was too scared to order anything that was even remotely spicy because of previous reviews (thanks Jamie!), and it's good that I played it safe the first time. The poor couple next to us was dying with their green curry. It was actually a little entertaining watching them try to choke it down. They would take a deep breath before each bite, and then sweat, drink a bunch of water, and move on to the next one. I probably watched them for way too long...but really, they couldn't handle it. I think it's just a matter of learning what you like here, but it takes a go or two. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to come back, but I wanted to. The prices were really great and the food came out quickly. For me, it's kind of rare to find such a good restaurant with so many options (and pictures), all for such a good price in Zurich. Their seafood dishes were even pretty low. Almost all of the dishes were between 18-20CHF.

Service was friendly and we were extremely appreciative of the fast service - we were hungry !!! I had been very specific that we wanted "regular water" but they charged me and my colleague for mineral water (4.00€ per person) which was disappointing. We ordered one order of the Veggie Spring rolls (8.00€) Super Small portion (see picture) & only 2 pieces. My colleague ordered the Khao Suey with Shrimp (29.00€) which was extremely well presented and delicious. My red curry (vegetarian - 23.00€) was pretty to look at BUT I asked them to make it spicy and it wasn't very spicy. However it was warm and comforting and I was hungry enough that I pretty much ate everything that is pictured. In all, I went in with not very high expectations but left satisfied and wonderfully full and it was a great way to end my Day 1 in Zurich.

We really appreciated the attention and kindness of the staff who ensured all was great all during our dining experience. We started with a complementary appetizer seafood flavored chips with a spicy peanut sauce. My wife got seafood with red curry paste in a whole coconut (Hor Mok) and I had the yellow curry paste and green banana with coconut milk base (Geng Klovy). Overall, it lacked a bit of a kick and I have to say that I am not a huge fan of the green banana particularly as it was too omnipresent in the dish. We went for some jasmine tea which was really good - with free refill as many times as needed. Overall nice experience although I don't think that's our preferred choice for a Thai night.

This happened to be the first Thai place we encountered while out on a walk, and it was just what we needed. I had the chicken satay, and it was excellent. Just the right amount of heat, and very flavorful. The mango ice tea was more mango than tea, very refreshing. Service was very good, even with a little bit of a language barrier. Sit outside if the weather permits it! We had a little table surrounded by pretty hanging lights, perfect for a relaxing evening.

The entire restaurant was full on Thursday night. We got to try a variety of food, and everything was kind of reminiscent of other familiar dishes, yet different in its own way. I liked how the food wasn't very spicy (I don't like spice) but still had a lot of flavor. And you could increase the heat to your liking with a variety of sauces. Everything had a great mouth feel (i.e. great density and lots of "Q", as we say in Taiwanese). Let's see if I can remember everything I ate. I don't know the names of any of the dishes, so I'll try my best to describe them here. 1. Thick flour crackers. Plain, but I liked them. Great crunch. 2. Clear vegetable soup with 3 kinds of spicy sauces you could add to increase the heat. 3. Thick dumplings--a vegetarian one filled with mashed potato (kind of like a pierogi) and one filled with meat (kind of like Chinese dumplings with the juice inside). 4. Chewy flat bread (kind of like a naan or Chinese bing). 5. A meat pie (kind of like a empanada). 6. A slightly spicy eggplant dish cooked in a thick, dark sauce. 7. Tiny strips of yak meat cooked with veggies. The yak tasted kind of like beef. 8. Glass noodles with black fungus (wood ear). 9. Spicy yogurt sauce. 10. Fried rice with mixed veggies. 11. Cucumber salad. 12. Cooked vegetables. 13. Some kind of salad that was pink (due to roses, I think). It kind of looked like shredded turnip, but I wasn't exactly sure what it was. 14. Barley flour ice cream. Overall, this was a great experience. The food was really heavy and yummy, and I definitely stuffed myself like a pig trying all the different foods.

There is nothing I could complain about: the people are super nice, the food is always amazing and fresh, the restaurant is clean and you always get a good deal with the Momos. Really, what could be wrong when you can treat yourself to all the beef Momos you can eat in all their juicy, savory, beefy goodness, which you eat by hand, btw. Finish your meal with a "Gerstenglacé" - if you can. It's a tiny portion of ice cream made from barley topped with dried Himalayan roots. So yummy and just the right amount after having stuffed yourself with the all-you-can-eat Momo.

Note: the soup sizes don't read 'small' and 'large' on the menu board. I forget what the cutesy language is...something like 'good day' for a small soup and for a larger soup it's something equally silly. Don't be discouraged as I was for a fraction of a second when trying to absorb the menu. There are only two sizes: good and gooder. ;)
