It's a nice place, we came here in the sunshine of the past few weeks. It's a lovely place to sit and they have a great terrace. Indoors also looked quite nice. They have their own bakery and are situated in a lovely old barn house with a big garden for some play time.
The staff was nice enough. Food was good, but not through-the-roof special. We came for lunch. I had the tuna burger, our friends had salads, omelets and friend shrimp rolls. (what's the term for "kroketten" in English? Crockets?) It was good and tasty but not very special.
We came back later for some drinks and the serving girls were a little rude to us. I asked if we could sit anywhere, and she'd say yes, even when a table was reserved. Her colleague appeared later and scolded us for sitting at a reserved table. I tried to explain that her colleague told us it was ok and made some joke about something and they both kind of reacted sour to us. Maybe they had a tough day, but hey, it wasn't our fault was it? And there was plenty of seating still left, we only wanted a drink and play a game, so we would be gone in time before dinner anyway.
That kind of dampend the whole experience. I would like to try out their evening menu though. Hope the girls are a little more in a good mood that day ;) maybe pregnant ladies piss them off, I have no idea :D
The play yard is nice though. They don't serve there, but they have a tiny take away place for ice scream and fries, which worked fine for us! read more
