Everything I needed for my first night in Europe to beat the jetlag. I ordered the octopus (in a can) with some bread as I had filled myself on snacks in the Air France lounge at CDG a few hours earlier and enjoyed a glass of Rose. The waitress was lovely and spoke English to help me along. I sat outside and watched the sunset. This is important to know: they take AMEX! Most places in Europe do not and I was so happy to have my corporate AMEX accepted. I highly recommend for a small bite after taking in the sight of Basel.

We are looking for a place for lunch and luckily we find this one right by the church. We don't really know what cuisine they are serving because we can't read German. However we see a lot of people eating inside so we take a chance with their lunch specials. We are very appreciated the server tries her best to explain the menu to us in English.
