Unser Motto: Deutsche Küche neu erleben! Wo deutsche Küche zu Hause ist, geschätzt und zelebriert wird. Das Team um den Küchenchef Michael Schülingkamp versteht es, die Gäste mit ausgezeichnetem Qualitätsfleisch zu verwöhnen. In der "Mühle" ist es in ansprechendem Ambiente möglich, Steaks und Braten neu zu erleben, einen Wildschweinsauerbraten, ein Hüftsteak von seiner leckersten Seite serviert zu bekommen. Und beim Anblick und vom ersten bis zum letzten Bissen ist zu spüren, dass das Team seine Arbeit und seine Produkte liebt. Schnitzel, Rinderrouladen, Entrecote - das Fleisch in der Mühle stammt ausschließlich von Tieren aus nachhaltiger Viehzucht. Guter Geschmack, Nachhaltigkeit und Produktbewusstsein sind wichtige Basis bei allen Speisen. Für die Gerichte werden in der Küche Kräuter aus dem eigenen "Garten" und wann immer möglich Erzeugnisse aus der Region verarbeitet. Am Wochenende kann hier jeder dank kleiner, aber feiner Mittagskarte, Mittagsmenüs auch tagsüber eine kleine Auszeit kulinarisch genießen. Mal Herzhaftes, mal Leichtes - aber immer zu fairen, bezahlbaren Preisen. In wiederkehrenden Abständen überrascht das Küchenteam gerne mit ausgefallenen Themenbuffets und grillt im Sommer auch auf der Terrasse. So gut habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Ein kleines nettes Dorfhotel für meine Geschäftsreise. Und abends habe ich draußen in dem hübschen Innenhof zum Abendessen gesessen. Die Speisenauswahl ist sehr gut, neben einer Hauptkarte mit vielen regionalen Angeboten gibt es auch eine Aktionskarte und eine Steakkarte. Die Steaks wurden mir besonders empfohlen, dafür würde der Koch eine ganz spezielle Spitzenqualität einkaufen. Das hat zwar seinen Preis, habe ich aber keineswegs bereut. Ein Rumpsteak erster Sahne, so butterweich, dass ich auf das spezielle Steakmesser verzichten konnte. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Haus jedem nur empfehlen, wohl ein Geheimtip, weil man diese Speisen- und Servicequalität auf den ersten Blick nicht erwartet. read more

Die "Rodeo-Steak-Night" war komplett gelungen! Das Essen wie immer hervorragend. Die Steaks wurden nach Wunsch einzeln zubereitet. Einfach spitze. Selbst ich, die sonst an einem Stück Fleisch genug hat, habe zu etwas mehr nicht nein sagen können. Die Bedienung super nett und schnell. Selbst ein Personalausfall wurde spielend aufgefangen und nicht unbedingt zu merken. Dies war für uns auch keine Überraschung, denn hier stimmt wirklich immer alles. Wer glaubt hinter der schlichten Fassade eine "Gaststätte" zu finden, wird (positiv) entäuscht. Wirklich gutes Restaurant in netter Atmosphäre, regionale Küche, super Themenabende und Buffets. Kann man nur empehlen. read more

Die Atmosphäre direkt an der Ruhr ist entspannend. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam. Mein einzigster Kritikpunkt ist das etwas geizig mit dem Brot vor der Hauptspeise umgegangen wurde, was mich überrascht, da die Preise für die Speisen sicherlich ein paar Scheiben Extra-Brot abdecken.
