We came back here last weekend to give HAO another try and I am glad that we did. The crowd was not big for a Saturday night, but it wasn't empty either. The food and service were back to the standard that I had hoped to find the last time we ate here. Our waiter Giovanni was excellent--the service was attentive and he made suggestions as we ordered. We enjoyed all the dishes we tried and we didn't have to wait long for them to be served. They serve a type of Asian-Brazilian fusion. The place is very attractively decorated; they have valet parking, but I had no trouble finding a parking spot on my own. They told me that after 11 PM, that they push the tables back and it becomes a club (but I didn't stick around for that). This is a really beautiful, charming, romantic restaurant. We came here because Ponte Nova is part…read moreof the Restaurants of Boa Lembrança, which feature an annual dish, that if you order it, you receive a commemorative plate (see photo). The service is very good here. The neighborhood is very nice, but they also have security outside, and the security guard, Eduardo was a great guy (great name too!). Food is truly presented attractively. My complaint is that my main dish (the fish), was, for me, overcooked. I would recommend that you simply ask that if you'd like your fish the way I like it, just ask the kitchen to make the fish underdone. Despite this minor complaint, I would definitely dine here again, and I recommend that you do too.
